Nutmegs, angel wings, alphabet cones, whelks, murexes, gaudy nauticas, tulips, an octopus, a gorgeous rainbow…WHAT?!!! This is great! You will not believe what Connor pulled out of a pile! Join me, let’s walk Lighthouse Beach after a storm (pre Hurricane Ian).

Learning all the time
So great to see a mom spending quality time outdoors with her kids and teaching them to appreciate nature. We need the next generation to protect the wildlife and the environment. You have given them a great start and inspired others to do the same

Oh I know-the lighthouse is almost finished being restored! I can wait to go back and see it! I was able to shell there “solo” the week before they opened back to the public, unbelievable. Last time I went was when they did open back up went with some friends (my daughter just reminded me; I thought the last time was my solo trip...mercy). I’ll share that video at some point this summer. Thx for watching 🐚

It's so funny how we all go for different things, I'd be after those buttercup lucines. The calico all the colorful ones, cones , bubbles olives don't do it for me 😀😃.. love watching the finds..love how Connor has the shelling bug too

Just love all the shelling videos. Please be mindful using that tool I noticed you knocked a live conch. And there also was a live sea star on a pin shell. I understand we all get excited. But after a storm be super mindful. Of how you dig. You are stepping and slamming some live creatures. Move slow and consciously.

Whoa, there is just loads and loads of shells for as far as the eye can see! That's basically a shell paradise, wow! I saw quite a few sea urchins (ouch, don't step on them) did you end up finding and keeping any tests for your shells collection? As for the shell shells, I think I loved them all; the colour variation on those True Tulips is amazing. I definitely liked your big favourite one at the end; the colour and pattern on it was awesome! Great adventure, Roxann!
It was amazing Maddie! Crazy wonderful for collecting our true tulips for sure!! Storm shelling is so dreamy! On this particular trip I didn't collect any urchins but I have trips from before where one time in Sanibel that's all I did was collect them...came back with a HUGE bag loaded.
