Thank you. Sharmon, for taking us along on your beach shelling adventure. Whether it be an outstanding shelling day. Or a bit slow, Any day on the beach is the best day ever! 🐚 😎
Hag stones are also hung on buildings to keep the bad juju away. I figure we all need anything that will help at the moment. Thanks for sharing, Sharmon!
Hi Sharmon! Sorry you have had an off week for whatever reason. Just remember there are lots of us out here that turn to you on Sunday nights to turn our off week around. You are so loved by so many people! You sure make my day better every time I watch. So soothing! And the shelling is pretty good too, lol! I swear if you just walked the beach and talked but found nothing, it would be therapy for the soul! My favorite tonight was of course the Egg Cockle. I don't know, just love them! Hope your week is better and your family has a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I don't know why, but I just felt like I wanted to acknowledge that I too have "off" days and that it's okay. This too will pass. I normally can shake off whatever is bothering me pretty quickly, but when I can't, I know a trip to the beach will help ❤️ Thank you for coming to the beach with me and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving too!
Thank you so much for another video! Your videos give so much peace, as I’m sure it does many others, every Sunday. It was so lovely meeting you on Fort Myers Beach recently. Thank you for shedding so much light on your channel. Throughout all the devastation residents on the coast have encountered in recent years, your channel inspires everyone to relax and to seek out the positive. Thank you again for another beach walk. 💜 love, love, love your channel and all that you do!
Birthday girl, is that you? I thank you so much for the kind words 🙏🏼 It is beyond rewarding when you put something out into the world and it's received so well. I am a very lucky lady 😃 Thank you so much for coming along on my adventures with me!
@ that’s me! XD Please know that you are so appreciated for what you do. I’ve been watching your videos for a few years now, and they bring so much joy and peace, especially during tough times. I am wishing you well, and sending positive energy your way. 💙 While the shells are a bonus, the beach surely is a cure. Thank you again for bringing the beach to us each week. 🫶
Oh I absolutely love the beach and shelling. It's my most favorite thing in the world. Unfortunately I won't ever get to do it again so I have been getting my fix through you. My favorite shells are the welks and conch shells. Thanks so much for taking me to the beach every week. I hope your days get better. Everything happens for a reason but this too shall pass.
Soothing the soul.. that's what these adventures do for us all.wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving...we are all very grateful to you and your sharing of the beach with us!!!!
No matter how happy or sad I am, the beach is always there "waving" at me - LOL. Ok, that just flew out of the Dad joke part of my brain 🤣 The beach always makes me feel better and shows me that no matter what I do, the sun will rise again tomorrow so I might as well enjoy it!
Since I began watching your channel, I can say the name of the shell before you say it in the video. Thank you for teaching me so much about seashells.
Great walk as always, Sharmon! It seems to me that the more we freely acknowledge (not go on and on, but just acknowledge),our rough days, it’s an encouragement to others. Everyone has stuff and hiding it doesn’t garner us the support we need to get through it. Just some encouraging words like so many of your kind followers did here can make a huge difference.
I did want to acknowledge that I too, even living in paradise with a beach not too far away, has bad/sad days. They are fleeting, but they happen to the happiest of us! Right. now I'm grinning like a maniac because a cold front came through, the tides are low and I'm going to the beach tomorrow and Sunday! ❤️
I hope you are okay too! We all have off days. I just wanted to acknowledge I have them too and they too will pass! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!
The blobs (bubble looking things in the water, coming out of the sand) are actually multiple individuals. They are called marine hydrozoans, close relative of the jellyfish.
Actually, just heard from a naturalist down here and they are sand worm eggs! That makes sense as they all came from holes in the sand. The beach is awesome!!!
Sharmon, I hope that you and your family have a nice Thanksgiving. One of the things that I am thankful for is you and your seashell walks on the beach!! I enjoy them so very much and look forward to them every Sunday!! Thank you for another walk on the beach!! ❤😊
You are so very welcome and I thank you for choosing to spend some time with me at the beach. I hope you and your family enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Thank you for taking me along. I’m not ready to go back to work tomorrow. Weekend was just way too short. But the beach made me feel better too. I just need the real thing. . Thanks Sharmin.
Thanks for sharing your weekly beach walk with me. Even during our 6 months in FL, I look forward to your Sunday video. Love your comment about the importance of being kind. I remember my grandma always telling me to think before I did or said something that might hurt someone because “when you look in the mirror, you better be able to like the person looking back at you.”
My daughter recently reminded me, "You can be right or you can be kind. If you choose to be kind, you'll always be right." I think your grandma was right AND kind!
Thank you for your 'after hurricane ' films, so good to see your positivity in such trying times you are an inspiration.😊 Happy Thanksgiving from Chris and Lynda in Scotland.
Girl you give me anxiety when you go touching the creatures. 😅 I’m like omg, what if it hurts you?! Just popping random creatures out of wood and things. I’m so glad you’re safe, shelling queen!🥰👸🏻👑
Lol! Yeah, we don’t have anything all that dangerous where I am, so I don’t need to wear gloves or anything. If I’m suspicious, I’ll film it, research it and then touch it the next time I see it 😅
Love the new merch! It looks very nice, classy and fun at the same time. Already got a cool something in my cart! Hey chick, I heard that little "most of the time!" Funny woman! Beach time sounded wonderful today. Wish I was there, wandering along the shore with you!
Also enjoyed you getting the piddick out of the driftwood. I have seen them many times in the driftwood I have picked up, but never saw the little fellow out of the wood. That was very neat. Thanks for the information. I enjoy learning new things.
I will be keeping you in my prayers for whatever peace you need in your life right now. Beach walks are definitely a great tonic for what ails us. The shell haul was decent and the beach looked pretty good considering the storms it's suffered recently. Looking forward to next week's video, hope you have a lovely holiday on Thanksgiving.
Hi Sharmon. I enjoyed your trip to Lovers Key park and all those nice shells you found. I'm so glad your day at the beach soothed your soul. God bless you, my friend, and praying you have a lovely Thanksgiving Day.
Another lovely Sunday shelling video. It doesn’t matter that there were no crown conchs. It just great to see you shelling! Someday I will get back to that area for an in person view of the shells and beach!
Hello From Ohio. Lovers key was one of my favorites before the storms last March! I have a picture of beach goers on the beach there with huge dump trucks going up and down moving sand! Oh my. Enjoy yourself.
Hello 😊 Can I just thank you for your smooth camera work? I suffer from vertigo. I can't watch some videos because some types of movement will trigger the condition, but all your videos are smooth, well edited and a joy to watch. Also, I strongly feel that if you feel something is a sign then it is a sign 👍💙
You are so very welcome! I am quite a picky with the videos I watch and I don't like watching people just swing their camera all over either. If you are going to freely give me your time, I'd like to make it as enjoyable as possible! Thanks for tagging along with me all these years!
We went today to Lovers Key at Low tide and I didn’t find much. What I found most was bay scallops. A couple lighting whelks and one banded tulip . There were lots of people there. It is a fair walk to get there. Wasn’t expecting that. Tomorrow is Cayo Costa and Wednesday is Keywaydin. Hopefully better luck there. Looking forward to next week’s video.
HUGS, beach friend! I hope whatever was getting you down that day has turned around. You bring a big smile to my face at the very start of each video, with your "Hello, beach friends!" greeting. Speaking of the start of your videos -- when did you add the ID captions? I'm so focused on the pretty shells and critters and the upbeat music, they might have been there forever without my noticing.
It's a new intro, hoping to let people know I'll be IDing stuff in the video so they can learn too! And I am downright chipper today so as I suspected, my "bad" mood has passed. I really just wanted people to know I too have my off days, like once every 5 years 😅
IDK why you are having a bad week but God knows. So I will pray for peace and comfort over this situation. Also praying for your strength and wisdom to resolve it. I went to the beach almost everyday after work while going through a difficult divorce. Spent A LOT of time on Singer Island Beach in the 90’s. Sending love and hugs from the east coast my friend. Blessings! ~Randi
The beach soothed what I needed. And I've also learned to trust that I'm not going to feel crummy forever. I'm so lucky to live here and have people like you leaving me such encouraging notes. Thank you for being such a kind human 🙏🏼
Thank you for your videos! I needed a little SW Florida beach time this (and last) week. Looking forward to spending a little time at Lover's Key just after Christmas. Serenity!
Nice haul! I would like to know what that is in the water too. I cannot believe you do not know. You know everything!! Thank you for the walk! Have a great week and see you Sunday! XOXO
Boy, the hurricanes were devastating. We also really liked lovers key. Since we were in Ft Meyers, we hit them all. Planning a trip between now and May. Hope to run in to yall. Happy Holidays from Missouri..
Hello from Brazil!!! I've being inspired to go to the beach looking for sea shells after seen your vídeos! But here we don't find the variety you have in Flórida!! I love the collorful calico scalops!
I am so lucky that this area has a wide variety of sea animals that make beautiful shells. I wish you good luck finding seashells where you are in Brazil!
Hope everyones well after the storm, Btw @SWF Beach Life, I want to tell you our family found a giant horse conch It was under a rock and it took a while to pull out, Anyways I love your content and keep it up!
Hi Sharmon, sorry if you mentioned it in your comments i couldn't find it. Where was that island area you were describing around 9:40? Thank you for all you do!!
I keep forgetting the time change. I was watching stuff I didn't care about and the light bulb went off, time for the beach. I used to miss you because I was in bed by 7 for the 4AM alarm, but I retired! Anyway, lovely walk on the beach, last time I went I brought home a scallop, an auger and a super tiny hinged pen shell (I don't usually pick them up either) but it is about 3/4 of inch, and that was all for my walk. Thanks Sharmon.
Happy retirement!!! I think as long as I find one good shell on a beach trip I'm good. When I have a slow shell day I find my mind wandering and being curious about other things I see, so I don't really mind. I have never left the beach disappointed!
Sorry about the typing: meant to say there were a lot of crown conks last March. Very interesting to see the animals at low tide. Thank you for your videos!,,
I hope you are doing okay Sharm. Thinking of you. Wow on the hurricane damage. Crazy. Love the Scallops and even the black ones. They are cool. I love feathers and consider them a sign. Love the turkey wings too. that surf clam was cool. wow. looks like Saturn. lol. My favorite, Corona beer. lol. Love that crown conch. And the apple murex. So pretty. that wood was wild. I've never seen that before. was there a sand dollar by that hagstone? lol. And that other surf clam. wow. that Coaghog was pretty. Thank you for taking us along on your journey. :)
Thank you for accompanying me on my journey! I am fine and I will be fine. We all have off days and I just wanted to acknowledge that I have them too ❤️
Thank you for sharing!!!! Everyone needs a pick me up now and again!!! Love, hugs & 🙏 for everyone!!! Have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving!!! Love you💖💖💖❤!!!🤗🤗🙏🙏🌈🌈💐💐😍😍💕💕🌹🌹🌹🌹❤❤❤💖💖💖😉😉😀😀😀😘😘😘😘😘🦃🦃🦃
I am not going to return the coral I have already collected as it was collected "honestly." I will not collect any coral moving forward now that I know "better." With any luck, the silly rule can change and we can freely collect coral again!
Sure! Here is a fighting conch: ua-cam.com/video/9wD9quAO14A/v-deo.htmlsi=qx0q5o5B57zLJrq0&t=12 And here is a crown conch: ua-cam.com/video/9wD9quAO14A/v-deo.htmlsi=aGO8V2xMSqkD3gDQ&t=1426
Watched a tv show about fishermen and clam diggers around Cape Cod. They said that people mispronounce quahogs as "ko hogs." They said it is actually pronounced "kwah hogs." They were rather adamant about that, too.
I was saying, KWOH-HOGS and someone corrected me. "They" also say "pah-k" instead of park and "cah" instead of car. At this point I don't care what "they" say - I'm saying it my way! 🤣
Dear Sharmon, I'm so sorry to hear that you had an off week! So, a big hug and lots of love are justified!❤🫂❤ And a little reminder from Lauren Daigle: ua-cam.com/video/Cj_RNYbynU4/v-deo.htmlsi=apCQvesSU6TTfTFG The shells you've found are gorgeous! I'm amazed that you were still able to find so many! I love the "strawberry" shell. It's so cute!😍 I hope that you're feeling a bit better now! So, I'm wishing you a happy week, filled with love and great finds. As always, sending you lots of love and a big hug, xoxo ❤, Ilona
I have never heard that song and it's playing right now. I love it! I just had to wait for my sadness to pass. Hey, we're all human and even me, surrounded by beauty and the things I love, has some tough days. I just wanted to acknowledge we all have so much more in common than we do that separates us! 🙏🏼❤️ I love that strawberry shell. It's going in my printer table!
The mystery has been solved! Those gooey looking blobs that I asked for an ID on are sand worm eggs!
Oh how kool ❤❤❤
Nasty!
Thank you. Sharmon, for taking us along on your beach shelling adventure. Whether it be an outstanding shelling day. Or a bit slow, Any day on the beach is the best day ever! 🐚 😎
There is no such thing as a bad beach day! Thank you for watching 🙏
Do love to hear the waves on the beach too. So gentle and relaxing! ♥️👍🏻
Hag stones are also hung on buildings to keep the bad juju away. I figure we all need anything that will help at the moment. Thanks for sharing, Sharmon!
A little extra protection never hurt anyone!
I have limited mobility so coming along with you is such a joy. Thank you.
I'm so glad you can enjoy the beach with me!

Such a relaxing video! Your answer to a rough day was a blessing to my lonely day!❤❤❤😊😊😊🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’m so glad I could help make your day a little better! I thank you for watching and coming along with me to the beach!
This was a cool beach walk. I liked all of the shells you found, especially the scallops. I love scallops! I'm ready to visit SW Florida again, soon!
That "strawberry" scallop was so neat!
The blobs (bubble looking things in the water, coming out of the sand) are actually multiple individuals. They are called marine hydrozoans, close relative of the jellyfish.
Thanks for the explanation
Actually, just heard from a naturalist down here and they are sand worm eggs! That makes sense as they all came from holes in the sand. The beach is awesome!!!
The spotted scallop reminded me of a Dalmatian dog. Sorry for that, you can tell when my mind is not on seashells it’s on dogs. 🤷🏻♀️lol😂
You got me on the dieting buttercup lucine!😂 That crown near the end was striking! All in all, not a bad day!😊 Thanks Sharmon! xxoo
Not a bad day at all. I hope I'm not getting too comfortable with my silly remarks 😂
@SWFBeachLife Nope. We love them!
Always enjoy our trips thank you very much. Beautiful finds🤩🤩🤩💖💖
You're welcome! I'm so glad you enjoyed the finds!
i'm listening to this as a calming backdrop as i fix my thanksgiving meal on a sad rainy day in ct - thank you for the waves of comfort
I hope you and yours have a wonderful meal. Happy Thanksgiving!

I couldn't agree more! Happy Holidays to you too!

I have a question....when I collected seashells in the 1960's the calico scallop were called Pectin Shells? Am I wrong, or did the name change?
Scallops belong to the family Pectinidae, so I think you can use the term scallop and pectin interchangeably and both would be right!
Sorry about the typing: meant to say there were a lot of crown conks last March. Very interesting to see the animals at low tide. Thank you for your videos!,,
Did you see as you was talking about the albino olive what is that in the water?😮
I did not, but I hope it wasn't an albino olive!
@SWFBeachLife lol
God did good! Love the Crown Conch! Jesus loves you my friend!
We all have off days and I just wanted to acknowledge that I have them too ❤️
@ sending hugs. We all can use hugs. 🤗
your living my dream
I'm living my dream too 🙏🏼❤️
I was lucky to find 2 Lion's Paws (not great shape) at Pass-a-Grille Beach
Oh my goodness that is lucky! That’s wonderful!

There soo my crown conks last March!
I know! I usually find at least a few critters. It was bummed there was no sign of them 🥲
Thank you for sharing!!!! Everyone needs a pick me up now and again!!! Love, hugs & 🙏 for everyone!!! Have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving!!! Love you💖💖💖❤!!!🤗🤗🙏🙏🌈🌈💐💐😍😍💕💕🌹🌹🌹🌹❤❤❤💖💖💖😉😉😀😀😀😘😘😘😘😘🦃🦃🦃
You are so welcome! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
My fav was the 2 crowns! So should we be returning the coral we have collected? 🤔
Happy Thanksgiving everyone
I am not going to return the coral I have already collected as it was collected "honestly." I will not collect any coral moving forward now that I know "better." With any luck, the silly rule can change and we can freely collect coral again!
As a kiwi I find the feather rule so bizarre 😊
We do some weird stuff over here for sure!! Thanks for watching all the way from down under!
Sharmon, it looks like you changed the opening!
I did! I wanted to add the names and use my little moving logo I had made months ago! 😅
@@SWFBeachLife thank you for adding the names. Noticed it right away, love anything reinforcing the shell identification in my brain. ❤
Could they be translucent tunicate? I'm from Iowa but was looking them up.
We have tunicates down here and they are stiff. We call it sea pork or sea liver. I call them beach brains!
Where is your website on etsy?
Here you go! swfbeachlifestore.etsy.com

@ thank you , I don’t know why I didn’t notice the spikes on the bottom lol
@@leeannciampa5489 It’s taken me years to learn what I have! 😃
Sharmon is that wood considered a piece of drift wood and can you take it home❤😊
I have a feeling they wouldn't want people to remove that from the beach and just as well. It was a huge piece of wood!
Do you clean off the Pediastrum Just curious..Happy Thanksgiving.
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It depends on the shell and my mood!
How do you clean the black and white ponderous ark without removing the black part? Bleach takes it off.
Yippee! 🎊
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤
It sucks because feathers are agift and a sign.
❤
Those blobs kinda look alot like a jelly fish, maybe you found the nursery?????
They do, but they do not move around. They are stationary. Been seeing them or year. I hope I can figure it out!
Can only like this comment if you hit thumbs up on your way in!!🐚🐟🦀
❤️❤️❤️

The shells you've found are gorgeous! I'm amazed that you were still able to find so many!
I love the "strawberry" shell.
It's so cute!😍
I hope that you're feeling a bit better now!
I love that strawberry shell. It's going in my printer table!
In no way are pin-shells uninteresting. I guess you feel that way cause you’re lucky enough to live there.
I will admit, I am quite spoiled to live here.
