I love DanTDM. He is always positive about things. He’s so unlike the rest of the internet. It’s always sad whenever I hear about him going through bad things.
2 things, first. What is so bad about digital fx. Second, don’t forget that the planes you see in top gun 2 are almost entirely digitally replaced. So is a large portion of the landscape.
The practicals on the set are amazing, I also love looking at the trailer and seeing the beautiful work done by the VFX house(s) blending practical and digital fx invisibly. Amazing Job to both departments and all the sub departments. A note to the marketing department, please dont brush the digital fx department under the rug and forget to acknowledge their existence. Dont do another Barbie. Please do a featurette on building the digital world. Keep up the good work though marketing!

From what we do see it doesn’t look that deep of a story, I agree. Whats so wrong or bad about the digital fx in the trailers? I agree that the practical effects are amazing. Just remember the top gun 2 effect. Shoot it entirely in planes… and then replace the planes digitally, we will probably never know what is practical in the final film and what isnt.
Never thought Warner Bros would make a short with Dan but then again he is one of the biggest Minecraft UA-camrs out there so it was probably a good advertisement plan for them.
If Dan is gonna be in the Minecraft Movie, I will be so happy. It would be just like how in the FNAF movie, a bunch of UA-camrs appeared in that movie.
