I actually bought the iPad 9th gen, but sold it after a month and bought the iPad Mini 6, man!! I tell ya! It’s small but what a beast 🔥I didn’t regret selling my iPad 9 This ipad can literally fit in any of my bag👌🏻
Still my favourite iPad. If I need to do anything ‘bigger’, Il use my laptop or my TV. It’s the perfect size for gaming, couch surfing, ebook reading, and more.
Very nice review. My only complaint is that you (like 100% of your reviewing colleagues) continue to ignore what a great writing/editing device the iPad Mini is stand-alone, with no external keyboard. The inputting (thumbing) can be pretty damned fast, but actual editing is NOW FASTER on the Mini than what’s normal on a regular computer tethered to a keyboard. The curse of writing on flat-screens (you know, like the awfulness of editing a tweet or a WhatsApp) has been broken. Furthermore, reference lookups (regular dictionaries, language dictionaries and Wikipedia type stuff) are SNAPPIER than computers. Add to the mix the possibilities of Markdown and such Markups as Fountain (for Screenplays) and you're looking at the one and only writing/editing device that is FANTASTICALLY PRODUCTIVE away from the slavery of chairs and tables. You can be slouched, lying in bed, standing in a queue, sitting in a car and even strolling and still edit faster than Bill Gates seated at his desk. So, great review but you're missing out on a huge plus about the Mini. Sure it's awesome for content retrieval, but writing/editing novels, screenplays, lawyerly briefs, scholarly treatises, translations…??? What sounds absurd and impossible, what sounds like Chinese torture, is actually EMINENTLY viable, and with a very reduced learning curve. Look at all the other iPads. For writers (not pencil note takers or pdf annotators, they are all make-believe computers. They are redundant. Only the mini offers something truly new: writing/editing anywhere, any time, in any position… WITH VERY GOOD PRODUCTIVITY. That "something new" doesn't make it an alternative but a complementary device. Not iPad replacing or VS. Computer, but iPad Mini AND computer, with the Cloud (in my case Dropbox) allowing me to jockey my work back and forth. "Sit-on-your-butt" writing followed by other "sit-on-your-butt" writing is department of redundancy department. "Sit-on-your-butt" writing followed by "sprawled-on-the-couch" writing is something new and different. Until now the process was so clunky that it wasn't viable. Now with markdown, markup, connective editing (the fast new approach to editing), Cloud and blazingly fast reference retrieval, it's a whole new ball game. Definitely loved this review out of literally all the reviews I watched. Every other review was talking about specific specs instead of giving an overview of the entire iPad. You covered everything about this iPad! As a female who wears purses, I loved that you included not only the fact that it’s small and will fit into smaller purses, but also included a female taking it out of a smaller sized purse. That was dope.

I ended up copping the 256gb cellular iPad mini. I traded in my older iPad so I was able to get it for 400. This is my main device inside the house, which gives my 13 pro a break, and the form factor makes the cellular version more justifiable because it is not a pain to bring everywhere with you. I also love using this over my phone when it comes to gps navigation.
I agree the mini 6 is a fantastic device, however for me I couldn’t look past the soft speakers and the fingerprint scanner. I only lasted 6 months before I sold it and bought the iPad Pro 11”. For me so much better

Looks perfect for what I want to do with a tablet, but since I'm an Android & Microsoft user otherwise idk how smoothly it'll play with the phone, laptop etc... regardless I'm very thankful for you and other folks making these videos! This is a prime example to being able to work with what you got! I love that trick of placing the iPad on something to elevate it off a table! That intro was lit, too! It surprising how you haven’t gotten wayyy more subscribers. One tiny feedback, I think your voice needs to be a teeny bit louder at the start. The intro music seems louder than you, so it was a significant drop in volume to me, when you started speaking. Other than that, great work! You got yourself a new subscriber.
I bought an iPad Mini Cellular 9 years ago. I do not browse with it - I'm an adult -so I use my 14" laptop to browse and an Apple TV for viewing. After 9 years of ownership, I use my Mini almost exclusively when I "TRAVEL" - to do the following - with %'age used (give or take): Otherwise it sits in a drawer. #1- as a GPS unit in my vehicles - the best GPS ever (70%) #2 - as a Sidecar or mirror screen to view video paired with a M2 MBA (25%) #3 - as an eReader (4%) #4 - the odd miscellaneous task (1%) Since it is on its last leg (but not dead) - I will likely buy the new Mini 7 when it comes out later this year. BTW I would 'NEVER" buy a bigger iPad as the Mini is simply a great portable complimentary device.
I love my ipad mini 6, its my first ipad too. Great size to browse social media and stream shows in bed. As a student it comes pretty handy for my classes too. I also use this ipad mini for video interviews. Great companion for my older MacBook air and iphone 13 mini. I recommend it. My ex has the ipad pro, and its a good ipad, but way too big for my liking. I also recommend getting the apple pencil. Its not especially necessary, but its useful so you dont smudge up the screen. Good for writing notes and drawing too.

I agree with everything you said! My biggest complaint is there is no 128GB option for storage. And a minor one for me is not all apps are optimized to fit this screen.
I just bought a mini 6, but I noticed when watching Netflix on it for the first time, the move I was watching was incredibly grainy, is this common? I see it more with some movies more than others, vs IPad Pro not having any issues with any video movie quality…..

I'm still trying to decide between the iPad mini 6 256GB and the iPad 9th Gen 256GB... It'll be my first iPad, but I'll be coming from a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. To keep a long story short, I feel like the mini 6 could be perfect for me (because I'm finding the Tab S4's screen to be a little too big to manage when laying in my bed.😅) ...but I'm a little worried about battery life. Do you think I should be worried about the iPad mini's battery life too much, in comparison to the iPad 9? It's just that I'm also planning to fly overseas later this year, and I feel like the iPad mini 6 would be more inconspicuous in comparison to the iPad 9. I’d definitely get the iPad Mini 6 bro. Better design and you really can’t beat how compact the form factor is at all. Honestly I wouldn’t worry about the battery life too much. It charges pretty quickly depending on if you have a high wattage brick or not. But I think the overall package you get with the mini 6 will have more value for you in the long run
I’ve commented it earlier, probably not on your channel, I must say this format is a brilliant travel companion mainly thanks to MS that fixed the seamless functionality with Microsoft 365 office setup and my corporate apps including the availability to everything whilst traveling etc.

I just bought this and coming from the iPad Mini 4, this is am amazing upgrade. My wife has the iPad 10th generation and although it’s new it’s limited to the Apple Pencil 1 and I honestly don’t need a keyboard for my iPad. Have to say I love this thing so far. With my iPhone 14 Pro Max and a MacBook Pro 13” this is perfect for me. I can carry this around easily and don’t have to worry about the need for a bag.
i will say my ipad is powerful to run all things and thats very great i like ipads because its compact easy to carry or putting into your back pack and its also fits as well
im using my ipad for editing watching content and watching movies web browsing and for reading music & games and other apps is really awesome and im really enjoying it
2:30 Im only 5‘10, and my Hand pretty much covers the Screen Like Yours does _ But l rock Home solid Size 14 Wide Feet as well. And l just bought a Mini6 to habe it as my daily driver again - After iPad 1 / 2/ mini 2( over Air 1)/ iPad 6 , and i Love The Size. It’s Great with my 13mini. Like my hands and feet suggest I’ll rather save up space in my trousers for other things then big screens 😅 '

I’ve had the iPad Pro 11” for nearly 2 years, and a friend of mine had the iPad mini 6 since it came out. I borrowed it for a little while, and I have to say, I like it better than the iPad Pro. While the Pro is great in every aspect, I adore the portability of the Mini, and I can still use it as a notebook, and Center Stage with 5G is incredible. So I decided to trade in my Pro for the Mini.
Came from a 12.9” M1 iPad Pro and traded it for a Mini 6…like you, I really loved the portability of the Mini and made more sense with regards to my use case scenario
Definitely can under where you’re coming from. The portability of the Mini 6 is the main selling point to me. I hope Apple releases a Magic Keyboard for it

I just bought mine and I'm very satisfied. I really don't care about the storage limitation of 64 Gb because I rarely save locally but in the cloud such as DropBox...

Battery life on zoom has been pretty good. Not noticing any real hit when on zoom. Battery life in general is great for admin stuff and content consumption

Only excuse for short battery life is for them to sell the next mini with “the biggest battery in an iPad mini”.. if the 13 pro max can last 2 days with super heavy use and more than 3 days with light use on a single charge, no reason an iPad should have lower battery life than that.. im getting this soon, when a purple one is available

Here is why, your cinematic is splendid and amazing. The way you say few words and back it with practical videos is uncommon. Your videos are clearer than water. The beginning of this video was too expensive for a review. Apple should have used that intro for the Ipad mini 6 advert. You're a great talent, and I see you up there above everyone. I don't like subscribing to channels, but for you, I will make an exception. Keep it up buddy.
Here I am watching your "six months later" video seven months after you posted. Great video, you pretty much nailed it, pros and cons. Your review holds up; it's still true as of their current devices. Apple is sooo good at product segmentation and pricing. They make you want to spend more, and then you squint hard to pay for what you buy. But you're usually happy in the end. The thing is, there's no real Android competition in small tablets. Maybe larger tablets too. This form factor needs more love and respect. And bigger batteries.

I feel like I'm almost convinced I'd enjoy the iPad mini 6 more than the iPad 9, but I don't know if I should rule out the value the iPad 9 offers...(although the "value" only holds true to the cheaper price because I'm not planning to use it for typing/multitasking/productive work etc.)

I’d definitely get the iPad Mini 6 bro. Better design and you really can’t beat how compact the form factor is at all. Honestly I wouldn’t worry about the battery life too much.
It charges pretty quickly depending on if you have a high wattage brick or not. But I think the overall package you get with the mini 6 will have more value for you in the long run
It’s not decent enough. It’s good to be honest. The speakers are also a big step up
I’ve commented it earlier, probably not on your channel, I must say this format is a brilliant travel companion mainly thanks to MS that fixed the seamless functionality with Microsoft 365 office setup and my corporate apps including the availability to everything whilst traveling etc.

I just bought this and coming from the iPad Mini 4, this is am amazing upgrade. My wife has the iPad 10th generation and although it’s new it’s limited to the Apple Pencil 1 and I honestly don’t need a keyboard for my iPad. Have to say I love this thing so far. With my iPhone 14 Pro Max and a MacBook Pro 13” this is perfect for me. I can carry this around easily and don’t have to worry about the need for a bag.

i will say my ipad is powerful to run all things and thats very great i like ipads because its compact easy to carry or putting into your back pack and its also fits as well

2:30 Im only 5‘10, and my Hand pretty much covers the Screen Like Yours does _ But l rock Home solid Size 14 Wide Feet as well. And l just bought a Mini6 to habe it as my daily driver again - After iPad 1 / 2/ mini 2( over Air 1)/ iPad 6 , and i Love The Size. It’s Great with my 13mini.
Like my hands and feet suggest I’ll rather save up space in my trousers for other things then big screens 😅 '

I’ve had the iPad Pro 11” for nearly 2 years, and a friend of mine had the iPad mini 6 since it came out. I borrowed it for a little while, and I have to say, I like it better than the iPad Pro. While the Pro is great in every aspect, I adore the portability of the Mini, and I can still use it as a notebook, and Center Stage with 5G is incredible. So I decided to trade in my Pro for the Mini.
Came from a 12.9” M1 iPad Pro and traded it for a Mini 6…like you, I really loved the portability of the Mini and made more sense with regards to my use case scenario
Definitely can under where you’re coming from. The portability of the Mini 6 is the main selling point to me. I hope Apple releases a Magic Keyboard for it

to writing on a notebook…the iPad Pros are better for artists, but for notetaking, the Mini is great, its even possible to write on it whilst holding it in the air on the other hand

How about the battery life during zoom meetings?
Battery life on zoom has been pretty good. Not noticing any real hit when on zoom. Battery life in general is great for admin stuff and content consumption

Only excuse for short battery life is for them to sell the next mini with “the biggest battery in an iPad mini”.. if the 13 pro max can last 2 days with super heavy use and more than 3 days with light use on a single charge, no reason an iPad should have lower battery life than that.. im getting this soon, when a purple one is available
256GB Mini 6 vs 64GB Air 5. It's a hard decision because I'm willing to go either way.

You are the best when it comes to reviewing. Here is why, your cinematic is splendid and amazing. The way you say few words and back it with practical videos is uncommon. Your videos are clearer than water. The beginning of this video was too expensive for a review. Apple should have used that intro for the Ipad mini 6 advert.

Here I am watching your "six months later" video seven months after you posted. Great video, you pretty much nailed it, pros and cons.
Your review holds up; it's still true as of their current devices. Apple is sooo good at product segmentation and pricing. They make you want to spend more, and then you squint hard to pay for what you buy. But you're usually happy in the end.
The thing is, there's no real Android competition in small tablets. Maybe larger tablets too. This form factor needs more love and respect. And bigger batteries.
