    Whoah! Such a great teacher. I'm thinking to myself, "self?" why would ninth be one of the most popular words? Then I just started magically learning by context. I think if I spent a month near kind people like you I would be fluent (mostly). Thank you!

    Jisho's first definition for 北枕 (きたまくら or kitamakura, ~ 1:08:23 in the video) is "lying with one's head to the north (trad. position for dead bodies; taboo for sleeping)". TABOO FOR SLEEPING lol pretty funny catch there, me.

    りさ, I'm listening to this video and I noticed that the way you pronouncd the particle をis not 'o' but 'wo.' I learned from my Japanese teacher here in Sasebo that it is pronounced 'o.' Am I incorrect in what I learned?

    • @elimarburger1659
      @elimarburger1659 2 роки тому

      In simplest terms, you were taught right and Risa was pronouncing it right. I suppose sometimes saying "を" after another word could make it sound more like "wo", but Risa was pronouncing it as "o" properly.

    • @elimarburger1659
      @elimarburger1659 2 роки тому

      2:43:48 this is an example of where the チケットends in the "o" sound, so when you say "を" it ends up kind of sounding like "wo".

    • @angelicreinforcement3373

    • @angelicreinforcement3373
      @angelicreinforcement3373 2 роки тому

      Like at 2:58:10 she says 時計を with an audible "w". There is no reason to do so in regular speech. を as a kana just sounds like "wo", even though it's usually shortened when used to mark the object. If you spell out your words, you'd still pronounce it as "wo"
