- Hello everyone,
Today we bring you another awesome and fun interview we did with Jay and his awesome Honda Civic EF Sedan. Jay is a true OG in the Honda game. I had the pleasure to meet him at an OldSkool Honda Meet and I am glad I requested an interview. Super cool to meet people who have the passion for Hondas and the EF chassis in specific. As you can see, Jay knows Honda inside and out. We are humbled at the opportunity to learn about him and his awesome builds. Thank you for the time to share, Jay. Thank you all for the continued support! #automotiveanatomy

Yo mad respect to this dude. He is an OG we all know one of these dudes who has dedicated his life to the game and has a unique build that we all love and admire. God bless cats like this. Another banger interview thanks bro.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a positive message to the builder. He is an GO and super authentic.
B&M Fuel Regulator… wooooow …. I remember cutting my stock regulator to fit the B&M regulator on there . What a great interview. A win for the older crowd like myself!
Thanks brotha, I always look forward to your comments man.
Dual overhead cam ZC…. All of us dual points wanted that swap off the pop up headlight teggys back in the days. Nostalgic af!!!!
Can definitely tell it's a 10 year build. I've been telling people sedans are underrated
We love long term builds. I apprecaite the love.
Less chances of them getting stolen, right?
Now that's what I call a movie. Entertainment at its finest.
Gus the car Jay is talking about the Accord with the Twix sticker on the hood that's one of my longtime friends. His Accord was fully built by PYR with NOS. Car moved... Actually him, Mike G, and Ryan Ordinario we all hung out back then. That's way before Mike G got Tank. When Jay mentioned that man it brought back memories. Hahaha
No way!!!!!!!!!! haha freaking Mike G was there as well lol Man, crazy how everyone was around someway somehow.
@@AutomotiveAnatomy yup he sure was. Back then Mike G had a Turbo Pickup truck. That thing was clean. 👍 My boy with the Twix Accord would always get asked if he had a Prelude motor because of the way it ran. Good times...
Damn haven't heard of pyr in a minute.
Man, what a blast from the past. I had Peter's wizardry in cars out in the Midwest like 25 years ago.
Good times. I remember those days and cars. Illegal street races Compton LB Carson and Brotherhood Raceway terminal island. Archie and his 10 sec yellow crx back in 94
Without these guys there would be no scene 🎬
This build did not wave away from a 90s build.. motor and car.
I had a 91 4door white box 5 speed . Best car ever. Went to 667k still sold it running on 3 cylinders
That opening scene put such a smile on my face.
I hooked up with Ray's 15x8 + 38 with R888R tires 225/50x15. They Fit my 95 EJ1 perfectly after I pulled and hand rolled all the wheel wells with a body hammer and body dead blow. I had a 1988 4 door ED and i loved that car. It was stock mint perfect. I should have never sold it to my young nephew. He totaled it. Made me just sick!!!!!
love this car
color everything looks good
best honda on yourtube
a real guy lots to say all good
Thanks for the positive comments for the builder and the build man.
Bro skated with Hosoi, real OG. Super tasteful mods, only someone who was there can do it like this so naturally. Solid interview style, AA! You let the man speak and questions are on point. Keep 'em coming! 👌
😂❤😅watched the whole video and totally worth it! Love the stories and fun conversations you both had! Thanks for showing everything Gus!
Thank you for your valuable time man. It means so much, you have no idea.
Dude is true OG of my time. Skating with real og's. Was a Honda guy in the 90's out east. Now live in CA want to build another honda
Hard to find a Honda out here I can find with smog cert to register.
Longer I watch more I love this guy! Honda OG 4 sure!!!
Og og here. I love this dude!
Two of the coolest Americans just shooting the breeze, cracking relaxed jokes and chilling in ole mates WEAPON of a car, the best part? NO toxic ego. First clip from this channel and I'm sold on the vibe of it. Subbed. nice work on the interview, camera work and editing.👌💣💥 The owner of that Civic is clearly a salt of the earth type person.
Thank you for spending your valuable time to watch the video and comment. I hope you enjoy some of the other interviews we have done in the past.
My man went with the Integra XSi (Y1) trans! Best one ever. It's what I ran on my CRX for the entirety of my ownership. Held 230 hp like cake work. Smooth as butter.
Dudes excitement in his voice makes me smile start to finish.
I have a burgandy 90 ex 5spd I'm putting a k swap into. Na. Plan on making a/c and p/s lines. Eventually an rotrex.
My 01 EBP SH is my stock honda.
Wow. This is my favorite episode. This guy is the early Honda culture personified. A class act and ego free.
4d efs are underrated style wise
Facts man, hatches and wagons always get the most attention.
EF sedans are my favorite honda. I miss mine so bad. This thing is a beast props!
Been one of my good friends forever. Glad to see this. Been doing it since say day one. 🙏💪
What an awesome interview
I started the import scene since 95, and I can relate.
OG OG. thanks for taking the time to watch man.
Love my Accords butni have a soft spot for the EFs and this guy and Dana amongst others are doing them justice. And this guy had the sedan which is really sick!!
Awesome video Automotive Anatomy as usual!!
Thanks for your valuable time brotha. Accords for life though!
OG in the game! YES SIRRR! Love it.
Black and yellow! Best color scheme of all time! I used to have a 1991 Honda Prelude Si that was canary yellow and it had some black wheels,
black tint, black trim, black seats, black tires, black seat belts, black dashboard, black carpet, black homie riding shotgun, black and milds in the
glovebox, and a black Canik TP9SFX with a red dot beam under the drivers seat. I'm white though! ⬛🟨
You guys have good chemistry. I enjoyed the interview. I’m definitely watching again
Soooo many good memories. Had 2 of this ❤ beautiful
Man if I knew you were doing the interview in LB I would have stopped by
I fell in love with this build when I came across a TikTok video of it leaving an event, crazy I found this video
Love this channel. I have rewatched some of ur shows like 100× +
Thank you for your support and your valuable time to watch man
I remember going to meet ups a Denny’s in Gardena, California, then going to terminal island.
I love the energy in this video! Super clean sedan! 🙌🏼
this guys is right next to my work. i see this guy all the time on the 405 in long beach
Beautiful Unique EF like my GD3 boosted KFit and other GD3 L15 boosted one. Been in the game as long as me. Missing the one piece JDM headlights , fenders, and hood. Gr8 VLOG.
Thanks for sharing!
THIS THING IS A MONSTER!!! Another awesome video.
Dude is a og right here sick build
OG for sure man
Very Cool I miss my EF sedan! Great Go Kart feeling car
Clean and straight to the point looks clean dude 👌
Nice so clean and powerfull for this honda model..goodjobb man
Sooo Boooom EF gang keeping them alive 🫡
dohc zc was the motor that starte the whole swap craz
Man, much respect to Jay! 🙏 I can relate, I do my swaps the same way. Lol 😂 I truly enjoyed watching this review. Keep up the great work guys! Jay I been through the same issues with being turbo for last 3 years. I've had nothing but trouble and issues. They are fun when they work but it sucks having all the downtime and problems that come with turbo cars. I now have a b20v allmotor and I'm content and happy. I can finally enjoy my car. When I was turboed I would break the car every 2 weeks. It used to drain my energy. I'm allmotor for life now. ❤ much love! 🙌
I started off all motor and love it too but I was racing a index class drag racing so I wanted to eat my cake too which means I wanted max hp and be able to drive it on the street too. My car is kinda heavy so I would need about 350 to the wheels all motor. So I just pulled the trigger and went boost.
Yea, nothing wrong with going boost. I just love driving my car and I hate having to wait for parts or waiting to find a new block because I cracked a sleeve or looking for new pistons if I happen to fry 1 due to a clogged injector ect.. it's a toss up but I rather have like a solid allmotor 250hp or maybe a k series with like 300hp and be good with no headaches.
Thank you for taking time from your valuable day to watch and leaving such positive comment. We appreciate it man.
I love Ef sedans 1st car I remember being driven in it was baby blue my mom's car. I will definitely own one its a must 😁
Dude is real humble ya ya ya
Civic is sick af
homie got a clean ass EF sedan !!!!!!
🔥🔥🔥
Unique builds are great. And I can't hate on the wedge civic when I owned two back in the day.
I wanted an EF hatch for a first car when i was 15 in 1996. I ended up turning into a VW kid. That was back in the day when there was no internet and everything has to be ordered from magazines 😂
🔥🔥🔥build
Always with that 🔥🔥
Love this
Damn another homie on the tube.. what up Jay
Nobody can make these look good but this one is nicest only one I've ever seen it a 10/10 🎉
They do make the bonnet struts! I just installed them on my ED Civic sedan! It's on ebay my friend!
Thanks for the info!
Sick yo!!!
Insane in the membrane EF owners... haha
All EF owners are wild lol
PS. I love this channel. Subscibed
This makes me miss my EF sedan 😢 it was my auto cross car it had a bone stock k swap from a Acura and the whole catalog of suspension goidies wheels and sticky tires mine was a red 90 my buddy that built his sling side mine had a 89 with a k swap but it got boosted and made 424 whp it was a beast built to eat mustangs for lunch and most cars that slept on it they were fun mine was like driving a go cart
YEEEEEEEES
Let this dude know Hush Performance makes hood struts for this
Twix car was out at the Ontario races if I remember correctly….. might have been airport or winevill 😐😐
Yeah he was out there as well. We all rolled to Ontario back then even Sylmar but were always at the Carson/Compton/Long Beach Street Races since we're locals from Carson. My boy with the Twix sticker on his Accord was from Torrance and we are from the same old school crew HIPERTEC.
haha super dope that people remember that lol
I think this is the first time I noticed a roll cage that far from the B pillar idk the technicality of placement but dope ass car overall
Yeah it's a 90 civic rollbar that's why it's that far back. I'm supposed to be looking into that at some point.
@@jdmda1000 oh ok nice car tho love your energy this was a great interview!
Clean
LOVE IT 👊😡
Much love brotha!!!
That’s it i’m buying one and turboing an f23 in there
19:07 I pissed my pants about the curb story...
Insane lol
I almost bought a clean sedan last week on offer up but someone beat me to it 😢
Jump on the next one man.
hi, '85 rx7 with f20c turbo swapped in. 165* thermo. my coolant never gets over 195*
overheating ? never met her.
Bruh that endyne catch can.... I probably haven't heard that name in easily 1 to 2 decades
Just out of curiosity, is that cage still functional in case the car rolls over? Seems like the front isn't protected much.
Not sure. I'm not trying to find out the hard way. Lol but I'll be trying to get it sized up into the right position. It's for a 88-90 civic hatch. And at the time I was running the 11.50 index class at a lot of drag race events and if you run any ET quicker than 11.50 you have to have a roll bar. So I threw what I could in there at the time. So actually its fast enough now to have a full cage. But I'm retired from drag racing so I really don't want take the bar out so I'll try and get this one modded with time permitted.
Perris is opening a track or is OPENED now
Funny story. Hated Honda’s growing up, always a mustang fan, my first car was an 88 civic 4dr DX in a peach color 5spd. Stalled out coming from the parking lot after buying it
hahah mustangs are awesome too. DId you ever buy your mustang?
@@AutomotiveAnatomy not yet bro, I’m back in the Honda game after being away for so many years
what do you drive nnow?
@@shreqboi1
@@AutomotiveAnatomy currently in a 95 civic coupe. Bringing back to life a 00 civic 4dr that was abandoned for 9+ years and I also have a 17 Ford f150 single cab lowered that I use for work
black dom toretto
They are cut from a different cloth…
For sure man. OG!
Swaps have been getting done since the 50s i believe.....not the 90s
😂 I thought mine was fast with 350 hp. I suspect 450 hp makes it a match for 99% of the cars out there I’ll bet.
Chistoso el homie, cool car👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯
Best civic made 😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️
Get a 4 port Boost controller.
I have the same car.... 88 EF sedan. But I have a turbo K20z1, S1 built AWD. You can watch my tune on PFi. Starting in at (2:12) ua-cam.com/video/DNcdyMi6_Zc/v-deo.html
I added the 6th gear from a TSX to my CRV transmission. So its 6 speed. Wavetrac LSD. And I run the S1 Built tubular kit with the Alpha drag arms and billet upper and lower control arms and S1 built axles. 60K viscous and the stage 3 driveshaft.
Soo freakin clean !! 😮
That roll bar is not properly fitted and seems like it is not design for that car? It needs to be as snug as possible around the B pillar and all the way around the roof. If that's the case, it serves no benefits and no protection in case the car rolls over. I also don't understand why no cover or protection on the timing belt? Since the car is driven on the streets, if any debris like rocks, or anything like that get into the timing belt, you can easily destroyed the motor. There is a reason why the factory has full protection for the timing belt area.
😂
proti tomuto viedeu nic nemam je to skvele ale ja osobne jsem velky kokot co dela pro zasilkovnu a taky si to myslim je to nejvic pravdepodobny
Děkuji
is it really a 10-second car🤨?
Yes even when it's not running that well. A bad pass down the drag strip is a low 11.3 @ 133 mph
I should've waited till the end before commenting. Once you popped the hood and I saw that it was a built motor, I was like damn, its a fast car haha.. Nice build and you seem like a great dude.
So thats why he didn't show up to work
Bra, that thing is mean!
And dudes hat makes MY ears hurt.
I would never drive that car. At least paint it Black maybe. SUBARU4LIFE
Damn it!!!!
Hell yeah bro my first car was a 88 Integra I've had 3 all together. I've also owned a 88 sedan just like his so yeah I love seeing the old schools getting some love.💯🫶✌️
Old school is the only way man.
@AutomotiveAnatomy you know it brother 💯
