Good point. I was thinking about building a little 380 into my back pack kit. I use a Magpul pouch for hiking edc already. Just add my bodyguard 1.0. Very discreet, but there and accessible if you need it. Lower key than my chest carry.
I really like that pack. I wish it had a few more attachment points. I do a lot of moto camping and need to get my gear better organized. I like the depth of this pack compared to the Maxpedition.
I think the fabric and it's resistance to adsorbing fuel might be key for you. I suspect you carry extra fuel which always seems to seep out and make you gear smell like gas. Agreed. if it just has a simple pass through on the back, it would add a lot of utility. I really think the intent of the design it that it will be a bag in a bag. Also, Mosko Moto makes a lot of gear with the same materials specifically for Moto camping.
