Great video demo of this.. i am very impressed with Ulanzi gear, they are keeping all the other companies in check because they keep everything pretty budget friendly compared to their competitors but also keeping the quality up and usually more features!
got this tripod I'm returning it very bad you guys tripping if you're gonna spend 500 better just go big and get a real pro tripod that you don't need to buy another tripod ever again. this tripod when panning drifts backwards no matter what it does not stay in place. its almost un usable footage. these reviews are all not legit ppl who got paid to promote UA-cam for their cheap tripod. this tripod feels like a 300 tripod max but with the wobble when panning its unusable exp if shooting live video don't buy it its in my room trying to sell it
Hello! I’ve never tried that one unfortunately. Originally planned on getting it but I noticed the head doesn’t have much of a counterbalance system, so went with this one instead.
Awesome review really appreciate the negatives which no one else is talking about. Quick question: can the 75mm head/bowl be screwed out and attached to some of ulanzis photo tripods like the zero f38 tripods? I’m trying to find the perfect balance between the portability of a photo tripod but that has the video features as well so I’d want to see if I can just attach this beefy video head to a photo tripod like ulanzis other tripods or even their new tree root photo tripod. look forward to what you think! Also your review didn’t go into detaching the head out from the unit
Hi there! No the head doesn’t have a flat base with a 1/4-20, it’s screwed into the 75mm bowl with 6 hex screws. So unfortunately you wouldn’t be able to move it around to a photo tripod.
So I got the, NEEWER LL55 78" Carbon Fiber One Step Video Tripod with Dynamic Fluid Head. I never used it yet is it about the same as this or should I return it and get the Ulanzi?
Hello, I haven’t used the neewer myself so I can’t speak for how the action is but looks to me like the neewer offers more features like the RS2/Manfrotto plates, telescoping pan handle but sacrifices some of the counterbalance and drag. I would say if the extra counterbalance isn’t something that’s important to you, ie your camera isn’t too heavy, The neewer has more to offer

Thanks for the comment and glad you found the video helpful! Agreed, hope they keep making more great things

Does the SmallRig FreeBlazer Heavy-Duty carbon have the same panning issue?
