Thanks, 2nd method worked. I tried this before with just changing the RunAsPPL to 2, but was not advised about creating the RunAsPPLBoot file. I am wondering, is this actually enabling LSA protection? or just hiding the warning message? Is it safe to leave this new RunAsPPLBoot entry, or can this perhaps cause problems in the future when the next windows update tries to fix the problem which no longer exists? Either way, big thanks for uploading this solution so fast after the problem has appeared so recently.
