  • This is the process that I went through to install 2005-2009 seats into my SN95 Ford Mustang GT as well as swapping over the screw conveyors to improve the common seat adjustment issue.

    How did you take the s197 seat brackets off? I’m having trouble.only took 1/4 off.

      You’re going to have to stick something between the foam and the bracket to get to those nuts. A ratchet will work but is a pain in the you know what due to lack of space. My recommendation would be a ratcheting wrench, or even better a flex-head ratcheting wrench (which is what I used).

      @@jpsgarageI finally got it what size bolts did you use?

      @jpsgarage  Рік тому

      @@RugratJay197you’re going to want to use thicker bolts than the original M6’s, I can’t remember if I used M8’s or M10’s so you might want to just go to the hardware store and see what looks better. For the lengths, the drivers side is going to naturally sit higher than the passengers side because of the there is no height adjustment. I added 1” to the length of the bolts that came out of the SN seats and used a 1” spacer with them. If I was doing it again I would add at least 1/2” if not 1”, 1.5” even 2” to the passengers side because they sit so low (so low the seat barely clears the carpet bulges on the sides).

    Looks good I'm doing this to my sn95 cobra. Did you put the 1inc spacer on the front and back and driver side as well

      Thanks! I put the spacers on all 4 mounting bolts on both of the front seats. If I was doing this again I would have done a 1.5” or 2” spacer on the passenger side seat as it sits a bit lower than the drivers side seat and doesn’t have the height adjustment.

      @jpsgarage Okay Thanks for the advice. I'll see what size I can find and I'll probably go with the 1.5

    Hi quick question did you also put the back seats from the 09 in your sn95?

      @jpsgarage  Рік тому

      Hi Richard,
      I actually used SN95 seats with matching colors and pattern. From my research, the S197 rear seats are too much work to be compatible. I ended up scoring a set of SN95 seats for $100. I have another video with the seats I ended up using in the back.

      @jpsgarage o ok because I have the back seats to match the fronts off a S197. And I can't find no one that has done it on UA-cam any pointers?

      @@richardcetz7994If I were doing it, I’d find a way to swap the frame/bracket that the seats Mount on for the S197 seats into the SN95. You can see my rear seat swap video to see what I mean, how they’re all linked to that rear bracket. Will probably require a few holes to be drilled like the front seat swap. Let me know how it goes!
