That's also the reason i come Back in a regular basis to get a very straight Up and plain View on Things going on. So to say your USP to me. Last but Not least i Love the Boulder content as a contrast to gaming. Keep it coming (and maybe there is room for a regular diversity day in your shedule)

Finished it multiple times c: You might like it as it is similar to playing glass cannon in poe where positioning and reaction are key. Would love watch you play! DO really consider Elden Ring. There is essentially very little harm in at least trying it for 1 stream. Or do Dark Souls 1 if Elden Ring is too daunting (might actually need the entire first stream to even understand *how* to play it)
Hey Mathil, if you're looking for stuff similar to but different to PoE, might I recommend The Slormancer? It's a small indie game that is clearly a love letter to PoE, but condensed yet has it's own kind of stuff to it. I appreciate though you not forcing yourself to play PoE, I'm likewise a player whos been playing for over a decade and was probably more active in the community than all but a handful of people, but the past couple leagues just haven't been there for me - A bit too rewarding and it short circuits the complex systems and my reason for playing the game. Necropolis was the first league since talisman that I didn't even hit maps, and that's purely because I knew that getting impossibly good rare items really fast was going to make any build work period, and skip the fun parts of making a build and having to rejig stuff to get it working. Hoping the next few PoE leagues will stop the absolute absurd reward spam and bring it back to a little bit more struggle. If not, hopefully PoE2 hits that mark.

If you wondered where the weird lines in the video come from: you exported the video as interlaced instead of progressive line scanning, nowadays you want progressive all the time (that's why we say 1080p not 1080i).

hmm i don't know about that. it might be more beginner friendly in terms of getting into it and learning mechanics. the open world also helps because you can explore a lot and get stronger instead of running into a boss-wall over and over again. the summons also obviously can help beginners. but, we are also pretty experienced with these games so anybody that already played a lot of souls games will have an easier time but i also feel like Elden Ring has the most challenging bosses out of any FromSoft game. nothing from DS 1 and 2 even comes close. these games are so simple in their mechanics and move sets, the bosses are also very slow... then you have Maliketh, Malenia, Gargoyle Duo etc. in Elden Ring. just compare those Gargoyles to the ones from DS1. lmao
You can play whatever you feel like, ofc, but Elden Ring is pretty damn clearly a HUGE inspiration for the PoE2 team, so keep that in mind. You might enjoy it more than you think.

You'll have plenty to do when PoE2 enters early access/beta. If you don't need the money till then, no need to force yourself and just pop online for PoE/LE.

And as a result I've been spamming this fuckin game for years now and following yourself and others who care about the longevity of the game...I will always follow yourself and others like you from now on. You are part of the select few who I believe understand the game at a fundamental level and who truly want the game to succed.
Feels a bit bad that they've hyped it and shifted their focus on promoting it for SO long now when it's still out of reach. for the love of good, play elden ring, it was also the first soulslike for me and I had an absolute blast and was always sad, when I had to stop for the day! And I gave soulslikes another try after playing the original demons souls and having an absolute meltdown + rage quit after ~15mins because I hated dyeing over and over 🤬(I even traveled 2 hours to the Netherlands to buy it because it was on the banlist in germany) 😆
Most surprising thing about this was that Mathil hasn’t played Elden Ring. The best game in the last two decades that is even more enjoyable if you have some mechanical ability and Mathil hasn’t touched it. Shocking.
