Fun enough experience though I do feel a bit out of touch with twitch culture. Think we have our own thing going in the arpg world and we're not really related to the rest of twitch so very few people from that world were there, ah well. Glad to be home and coming back to life.

Imagine that return flight if you hadn't picked business class. Holy shit. Maybe even a window seat and going "Can I get out, please" every 15 minutes. I'd probably never fly again.
Well that was similar to my experience coming back from the LA PoE event a few months back, feeling wise but not the need for a toilet as such. I was extremely nauseous from the jetlag/travel and had to get on a 15 hr flight in the next few hours so I force vomitted a bunch, went to the checkin and asked if there was a chance to reshuffle seating in some way. Got the row near the back to myself where I laid down across 4 seats for most of the flight in fetal position.

Fun little vlog, would love to see more climbing action though, even if it's not supposed to be too hard or challenging. Hanging out with the boys at the gym was a great highlight throughout your previous travels or meetups!
Also, pretty surprized no other PoE guys went there.

great video! i couldn't imagine ever flying that far in economy. brother in law did a lot of air travel for work over the years and would ALWAYS book first class/business for the same reasons you mentioned

Looks like you had a fair bit of fun - aside from firing out both ends - NA TC is pretty similar, but there's a lot more networking/after parties compared to EU. The con floor is pretty much the same though. So unless you're working a specific thing at the con you can get away with skipping the con ticket itself and just socialise outside of the con. San Diego's a pretty fun city too (although bars stop selling booze at midnight - which as a Brit raised on binge drinking was a bit of a culture shock, lol). Would be interested in seeing your take of that city.

i had that kind of an atack once when i was at a friends house. litteraly wouldnt have cared if i would have died. thank god it normally is over after some hours. u can get some biome pills to give ur system a kickstart. just ask in a pharmacu or a doctor for that. really enjoyed the travel log!

I typically talk in Aus $ keep in mind but yea not cheap when you gotta book 1-2 months out. It's also a business expense so that makes it a good bit better.

Been to Singapore in maybe 2008 (?) or something and holy shit it felt like a next level city/country. No trash, no thugs, no worry of crime or anything in sight lol

Amsterdam Shiphol is notorious for their passport queue, I try to avoid that airport for international traveling as much as I can. Next to Atlanta it is possibly the worst overcrowded airport I have been through.
