    Offering full-length, unlooped samples of every key for a spectacular piano sound, this new keyboard redefines your expectations for an instrument in this class. Taking its name from the Greek word meaning "color," KROME is the new standard for sonic excellence in a gigging musician's keyboard, providing a limitless palette of sound to bring vivid inspiration your music.
    In addition to Korg's well-proven workstation features, KROME features a carefully chosen selection of the top sounds available today for bread-and-butter keyboard instruments such as piano and electric piano, as well as vital and dynamic drum kits, giving you the best of the basics. These highly usable piano, electric piano, and drum sounds by themselves set KROME apart from any other keyboard in its class. With sound quality and features normally found in much more expensive instruments, KROME aspires to set a whole new value standard, and become a unique and irreplaceable partner for real-world musicians.

    I just ordered The Krome 73 yesterday because of this very video. It looks like it's going to be very easy to learn since I already own a Triton Pro 76.
    I can't wait to get my paws on this.

    After a very long research trial, I have settled on the chrome. The FA 08 almost won because of the one touch chord feature, but...Krome's sounds seem higher quality to me. I also like it's clean look. I very seriously contemplated the Kronos, and still....might, but the price difference is quite significant, and so far can't see that it's worth twice the price.

      The Kronos is at least 4 times the keyboard,in terms of what it can do....in so many ways(i.e. 16 tracks of audio recording,multiple synth engines,thousands of presets,massive expand-ability..etc.,.)....however,if you are a bedroom studio musician and you already have computer DAW's and VST software,then the Kronos would be overkill(& if you don't have the budget for one,why bother?)That is to say,a Kronos could very well be an alternative to a desktop computer workstation,if you wanted to get away from desktop recording.The thing is though,basically...the Kronos literally is a computer,within a hardware container and it's so deep and complicated.For me personally,if I am spending several hours,upon days...working on a song,I would much rather be staring at my 32" computer monitor,rather than staring at an 8" display screen.The way I see the Krome,is that it is a nice midi controller for my computer,that has bonus features and if I want to take a break from my desktop,I can easily record an idea and make it into a complete instrumental tune,before I transfer it to PC.I've also...always wanted a 73-key midi controller keyboard for my computer and now I can have one,as well as acquiring the brilliant Platinum version of Krome! :~}

      Philo Beddoe Is it not just a Triton in disguise?.

    • @HighlandStudio91
      @HighlandStudio91 7 років тому +2

      What....the Krome?Are you referring to the classic Triton?The sound engine is so outdated and archaic.The Krome has the M3 sound engine and much more sample content.Of course though,not all of the Krome's individual presets(particularly in Program Mode are not all that impressive and in fact,some of them are very weak & thin...but there is still plenty of usable and even amazing sounds to keep one very busy.Also...when you tweak and combine the sounds,that is where the magic happens and you can get some very unique sonic characteristics that even computer software VST's don't have(& I have vast libraries of VST's on my PC.)I now own the Krome Platinum 73(& have been tinkering with it for 2 whole days now)...& I absolutely love it.It's the best $1,200 I have ever spent!

    I know the one (song) with the strings is Firework by Katy Perry and the piano is Don't Stop Believin' by Journey.

    How does it remember tempos? Could you have have, say, 100 or 120 combis w/drum tracks for specific SONGS on a touch-screen page or a USER combi page or whatever? THAT would be a gigging single or duo artist's dream setup!

    Looks like a good technological upgrade from the Triton. Don't get me wrong, I've got a Triton 61 LE and it was fantastic. But I got in in 2000 and it used hard disks for data storage. This appears to have all the same sounds and updated features. Plus since it just got released, better to get this and skip the Kronos.

    So far, I guess I did something wrong because I can't get the sounds to work. I went straight to an empty part section and selected by kinds. I have a set list for pianos, another for strings and so forth. Now, whenever I try to switch them p, they don't produce any sound. What am I missing?
    I only choose about 5 sounds from every type of sound available, just to give a number. Only the first option work, not the 2nd and so forth

    Hey Mate... with all of your musical knowledge and Piano expertise, why do you play the same boring songs and tunes in every single video you make of this Krome? Every video is basically the same, same songs and pads and patches. I enjoyed your videos and demos before but sincerely, it's getting so boring that I'm avoiding them now... Yes, I agree you're an "awesome player" but Repetition after Repetition gets the Soup Spoiled Mate! Play something new, specially music we know.. Real songs that we can all recall.

    Hundreds of videos on youtube about the Krome and they always show pianos, bass, EPs, strings.. NEVER the synthesized sounds! Such amateurism..
