Melissa, you are just going to love Costa Rica, I went several years ago and it is a poor country so pack lots of trinkets because the children love them, you are told not to give money, but it is hard not to so trinkets are a great alternative. Also the sloths are just so sweet and they make me laugh! Then the sports, river tubing, snorkelling, rafting..... It is brilliant fun. Clare from the UK

Hi Melissa! Im a fan born & raised in Pittsburgh, I started watching the show when I was 11 back in 2011! my question is, did you & your girls prefer Kennywood or sandcastle to visit at whenever you had free time? I still love kennywood but the parks really gone downhill in the past few years :(

Costa Rica is on my bucket place of places to go someday, but I am a teacher so unfortunately September wouldn't work for me. Sounds like a fun trip! Enjoy! I have a question. The girls seemed so natural in front of the cameras even in Season 1. At the very beginning, did the producers have to tell the girls to ignore the camera. Did they feel comfortable on the first day when they were shooting or did it take a little time to adjust to the cameras being around them?

Hello Melissa,
I am a singer from Austria and have always wished for a similar training to the one at ALDC. There are very good ballet schools in Austria, but no dance schools for children where almost every dance style is taught. My question is: Are there such dance schools in every state, or is this training also rather rare in the USA? I first noticed Maddie through the SIA video for Chandelier and then I researched where this remarkable girl came from, because you could only watch Dance-Moms here via the internet. Wonderful greetings from the land of Mozart and waltzes :)

Hi Melissa I have a question during season 5/6 Maddie missed a lot of rehearsals and training because she was either working with Sia or doing interviews, did all of that professional work take a toll on her dancing, like her technique, flexibility and stamina. Since she was barely training at the studio anymore.
