Personally, I love bihon more than canton. For some added savoriness, ''kikiam'' or squid balls can also be added. It's lovely seeing Mama Ira again. I'm one with her in that I focus more on the flavor than the beauty or appearance of the dish. You're not only a skilled pastry chef but also a skilled cook, Olya. @@CousinOlya i don't know if you used sothanghon or bihon but those are two different types of noodles with different approaches of cooking.. sotanghon uses vermicelli or glass noodles and it's a soupy noodle dish.. while bihon is a stir-fried noodles like canton.. anyways, tried to put fried chicken liver on both pancit bihon and canton and pair it with pandesal.. 😊

I think, its the right packaging and preparation of the menu, and the combination of each dish that you want to sell. Each portion must be good for one person per meal. Presentation is important, menus should be appealing, eye catching and mouth watering. Start with small costumer, and you will go a mile. I see your passion in cooking. You are also good in baking cakes! Such talent! Do not be discouraged. you will enjoy doing it, because its your craft. Besides it will keep you happy and energetic, and healthy. Be creative . . . To be honest, we Filipinos have this feeling of inferiority, maybe because, we belong to a poor country, and not much good looking than Europeans. Leo Tolstoi is my favorite Russian writer. and Nadia Kominichi, These are the Russians who made an impact to the Filipino people. Anyway. Very nice!! Good thing you found a vendor that sells oyster sauce. The good thing with pancit is you can add whatever you want, not just chicken. Mushroom, chicken liver and scrambled egg are some of the common additional ingredients here.

Wow ...Olya, you did the sotanghon so well. A tip for the rice noodles - we ussually soak it in warm water for 30 minutes and I know peeled prawns there are not that cheap but it's better if you had added to the dish. Salamat Olya.

just a simple tip..soak the rice noodle into water for about 2-3 minutes prior to cook in order to soften the texture of the bihon (rice noodles) overall you cooked it very well. best alternative of bihon is sotanghon.

Thanks for cooking Filipino dish Cousin Olya. Pansit is oftentimes prepared during birtdays. Other way of cooking pansit is, saute first the meat until cooked and tender before adding the veggies then add oyster sauce and soy sauce set aside. Note: dont over cook the veggies. Then in a separate pan saute garlic and onions then add enough water and ground black pepper when boiling add the noodles til cooked. Then add the veggies you can also add hard boiled quail eggs.
