the problem with those homeless in the Philippines is that they were given a home by the government but they sold it and chose to be homeless again. They are called professional squatters or professional homeless. They chose the status of not paying property taxes or some sort. Some of the homeless that you saw were the minority ethnic groups that were once live in ancestral domain or ancestral lands tried once to go to cities for Christmas begging spree. Realizing that they can easily obtain money by begging than do agriculture they refuse to go back where they came from. They are not "really homeless" but rather don't like to stretch their muscles to contribute. Ang tawag sa kanila ay "mga tamad". They even brought their kids to the cities to beg and once those kids grew up in that status, that is where the real problem began because those kids no longer knew how to do agriculture. Once their parents died in the city they became vagabond.
"The Indolence of the Filipinos is a study of the causes why the people did not, as was said, work hard during the Spanish regime. Rizal pointed out that long before the coming of the Spaniards, the Filipinos were industrious and hardworking. The Spanish reign brought about a decline in economic activities because of certain causes: First, the establishment of the Galleon Trade cut off all previous associations of the Philippines with other countries in Asia and the Middle East. As a result, business was only conducted with Spain through Mexico. Because of this, the small businesses and handicraft industries that flourished during the pre-Spanish period gradually disappeared. Second, Spain also extinguished the natives’ love of work because of the implementation of forced labor. Filipinos were compelled to work in shipyards, roads, and other public works, abandoning agriculture, industry, and commerce."

Gossiping is a culture in Filipinos, and the Bible addresses it quite seriously. Proverbs 16:28 says, "A perverse person stirs up conflict, and gossip separates close friends." This highlights how gossip can destroy relationships and create division among people. In Proverbs 11:13, we read, "A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret." This emphasizes the importance of trust in our relationships. When we gossip, we betray others and compromise our integrity. In the New Testament, James 1:26 warns us, "Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless." This is a powerful reminder that our words reflect our faith. If we're gossiping, we're not living out the principles we claim to believe. Furthermore, Ephesians 4:29 instructs us to "not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what helps build others up according to their needs." Instead of tearing others down through gossip, we are called to uplift and encourage. So, what can we take away from all this? First, please keep in mind the impact your words have on others. Gossip can lead to misunderstandings and hurt feelings. Second, practice discretion. If you hear something that could harm someone's reputation or relationships, think twice before sharing it. Lastly, could you focus on speaking positively about others? Let your words be a source of encouragement rather than division. Remember, our words have power. Let's choose to use them wisely and in alignment with the Lord Jesus' teachings.

1. In every country there are homeless ppl. So in ph also. Not everyone just hangs out for fun outside.. others are really struggling. 2. Traffic is a real issue here in manila tho. Ab the clothes.. i love that i can go out without dressing up & no one cares. W the plastic bags & softdrinks.. love that also so i don’t need to bring the bottle back to the tindahan hahahah
Actually, they are not really “homeless” They have home in their provinces but they left their real home to look for “ something different”! Most filipinos thought that “MetroManila” can give them a good life! Thats what I saw and experience when I was studying in Manila. They go to Manila to get a job, go to school, live with friends, relatives or just make a temporary shelter anywhere. That way started the “homelessness” problem in Manila! Now, it’s becoming a problem too in some developing cities!! Homelessness is not just the Philippines, everywhere in the world!! America has a huge problem, too!!Every cities in America, you see homeless living at the side of streets or somebody’s yard or even parks! Homelessness will never stop and never be fixed!!
Nice list of culture shock, how long have you been here? Fluent in Tagalog means you've been for quite awhile. Say some experience living in the 🇵🇭 for the first month or so. ❤❤❤
Yes its an worldwide problem. But i didn’t say anything ab uk or america cuz this video is specific for Netherlands& Philippines :) but ofc every country in the world has homeless people
Yes there's too much homeless people, because that's their choice. Most of them came from the province looking for greener fasture thinking that life in the city is easy.
How do you gauge/determine a person is really homeless or not? Do you see them sleeping in the streets or saw someone who isn’t in your standard and considered them homeless automatically? No, not all Filipinos go out to malls and dress up and not all Filipinos are chismosa (which in some level you are doing in this video, isn’t? Sharing on UA-cam what you noticed here. What if a “homeless” person say to mind your own business and don’t share anything you saw here?).
Ganda mo noh?😆 At first wdym w my “standard”😆 my standard is not high or anything.😆 At first.. when i see people begging for money or food. without proper clothing ( without holes or anything) or if i see that they build a shelter w wood or something.. i would think they are homeless..😅 also i see them there day& night. & also. Where did i say that ALL filipino’s are chismosa?😆 like even my pure filipino friends say the same thing as me. So maybe u are just a lil to soft& took everything just a lil to personal😉
Don’t act like there are 0 homeless people here. Cuz in every country there are homeless people. People like u are just too delusional to accept the truth. Also dressing up for the mall is nothing bad?! I said that i liked that. So i guess the issue is with you😆😆😆
@@SherilynPHNLThanks for answering. I am just clarifying. Because people who live and grew up in the streets, yes they are homeless but there are some beggars who actually have a home, no matter how small they are, it's still a home. That's why I mentioned "standard" because it's different from person to person. You see people with small houses and begging as homeless but I don't. Of course I have a soft side for my country, but no, I am not saying there are no homeless here. Unfortunately, there are. 💔 To clarify, I didn't say you are against people dressing up to go to malls, I just said not all Filipinos are like that, some go there in casual clothes.
@@SherilynPHNL"Ganda mo noh?" what is this for? When you didn't say or clarify that "not all Filipinos are..." then you're generalising that's why I said not all Filipinos are chismosa.
Don't compare us...bcuz your country is rich country...of course people in your country are arrogant bcuz they're well to do family...mostly rich people are arrogant...🙄🙄🙄
So im not allowed to tell ab my shocks? Also.. wdym us? I’m half filipino also. Also don’t assume that bcuz our country is a richer country that the people are rich 2. Cuz thats a stereo type u made up in ur head. Not all of us are rich. Thanks😀
They're not homeless. it's just no job so, they're just sitting or watching people pass by. This is Philippines. This is how we are. adapt it. sorry but that's how it is. Soon you'll be home you would see any homeless. Your country help homeless but not here, the same as United States.
You are not offending me, I'm Filipino and I understand what you are saying but this is the result of a corrupt government and a population that is very undisciplined.
No perfect place, don't always compare yours and the Phil...cultures are always different...if you think you are fit with days to live then find a place that you feel you are comfortable...
Anywhere , USA ,THAILAND, PHILIPPINES ANYWHERE COUNTRY MORE HOMELESS, YES TRAFFIC IN THE PHILIPPINES IN THE OLD CITIES IN MANILA BUT THE NEW MANILA NO TRAFFIC,AND MIND your BUSINESS TOO. When I go home in the Philippines Im living in homeless manila because I’m happy over there than but im studying in US BUT IM the own of 2 buildings in the philippines I leave in homeless
Which part of the Philippines you saw people wearing pyjamas outside. We are civilized people. You cannot see people in Manila going to the mall wearing pyjamas. Every country has pros and con and even your country has it. But do not look at us like stupid or uncivilized. PYJAMAS!!!!!
Listen to the video again pls& try to understand the words😆 I said outside. But if they go to the mall everyone is going all out with their outfit. Understand& listen first next time that u comment clown😂
You need to isolate your area Dear....."Philippines" is 7000 islands and 71 different languages. A common mistake is assuming all of them are the same. They are not. I live on Dumaran Island and "homeless" are rare. There are also no traffic lights or stop signs and few "rules" beyond social standards...
I said especially in manila dear😉 so technically i did isolate what area i was talking about. I know its not everywhere. Saw enough places to know rhat not all areas are the same ❤
Come to America and you will see a lot of homeless people. Do you want me to show you pictures? Is not only in the Philippines. Stop whining. Enjoy the beautiful islands. I don’t want to hear negative about my country. Chismosa we have a lot here too in America.
I never said it was only in the Philippines honey. But the video is clearly about Netherlands& ph. I also said there were homeless in netherlands. So how about u stop wining? And YOUR country?😆 its my country also honey. 😂
So your saying na walang homeless sa pinas kahit 1? 😆😆😆 sa lahat ng bansa may homeless. Like i said kahit sa netherlands meron din. No need to do any research for that. Msyado ka lang ignorante to realize that its a real life problem that occurs all around u & all the people around the world.

FOR YOUR INFO. THERE ARE NO HOMELESS PEOPLE IN THE PHILIPPINES BUT THEY HAVE FAMILIES IN THEIR BIRTHPLACES OR PROVINCES. DUE TO HARDSHIPS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE PROVINCES THEY TRIED THEIR LACK IN BIG CITIES HOPING FOR A GREATER OPPORTUNITIES. IN OTHER RICH COUNTRIES EVEN PENSIONERS ARE LIVING IN THE STREETS AND THOSE ARE HOMELESS WITHOUT OTHER FAMILIES TO RUN TO. IN THE PHILIPPINES,YOU CAN GO BACK TO YOUR RELATIVES ,IF YOU HAVE DIFFICULTY IN DAILY NEEDS AS A PENSIONER.YOUCAN BE WITH YOUR RELATIVES. THE PEOPLE YOU SEE IN PHILIPPINE STREETS ARE NOT HOMELESS BUT HOPELESS IN THEIR PROVINCE TO HAVE. GREENER OPPORTUNITY. THEY LEFT AND TRIED TO FINE IT IN BIGGER CITIES. I AM A FILIPINO IN JAPAN AS A UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR BUT I SEE HOMELESS WITHOUT FAMILIES THAT THEY CAN GO THROUGH OR TO LIVE ALONG WITH.THOSE ARE HOMELESS BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE LIVING FAMILIES TO TAKE CARE OF THEM. AS YOU CAN SEE,PEOPLE IN PHILIPPINE STREETS ARE MOSTLY YOUNG ADULTS,TEENAGERS AND CHILDREN AS COMPARED TO HOMELESS IN OTHER COUNTRIES ESPECIALL RICH COUNTRIES THAT ELDERS ARE LIVING ON STREETS.

1. In every country there are homeless ppl. So in ph also. Not everyone just hangs out for fun outside.. others are really struggling.
2. Traffic is a real issue here in manila tho.
Ab the clothes.. i love that i can go out without dressing up & no one cares.
W the plastic bags & softdrinks.. love that also so i don’t need to bring the bottle back to the tindahan hahahah
in your place the homeless cant sleep on the street because of the weather but there are homeless too. all countries have
I said there are homeless. But they are in the homeless shelters 90% of the time. Never said that there were no homeless in my country bud
Where did you see homeless here in the Philippines? They hang out in the streets but at the end of the day, they a home to go.
I see them mostly under the bridges at edsa& balintawak.
True. There are homeless people everywhere in the world. But this video is specific about netherlands& Philippines hope that helps😉
Your so nice and truthful thank you for so kind ido. Iam axelfox23 vlog from philippines and done whatcing subcribe like ❤❤❤❤❤
Thankyou so much for your kind comment!😊 stay tuned for my new video tomorrow!
Nice list of culture shock, how long have you been here? Fluent in Tagalog means you've been for quite awhile. Say some experience living in the 🇵🇭 for the first month or so. ❤❤❤
I’ve been here now for 4 years😊 thankyou for your kind comment❤
It is not only the Philippines has homeless. Sa America at UK may homeless din
Oh! , but on the other hand.. i don’t think every one of them has a home tho. Since there are “ real” homeless people around the whole world din tlga😅
would be a Shock for me too the Homeless and the friendl People cause Germany be like your Country arrogant people
How do you gauge/determine a person is really homeless or not? Do you see them sleeping in the streets or saw someone who isn’t in your standard and considered them homeless automatically?
No, not all Filipinos go out to malls and dress up and not all Filipinos are chismosa (which in some level you are doing in this video, isn’t? Sharing on UA-cam what you noticed here. What if a “homeless” person say to mind your own business and don’t share anything you saw here?).
Ganda mo noh?😆
At first wdym w my “standard”😆 my standard is not high or anything.😆
At first.. when i see people begging for money or food. without proper clothing ( without holes or anything) or if i see that they build a shelter w wood or something.. i would think they are homeless..😅 also i see them there day& night.
To clarify, I didn't say you are against people dressing up to go to malls, I just said not all Filipinos are like that, some go there in casual clothes.
@@SherilynPHNL"Ganda mo noh?" what is this for?
When you didn't say or clarify that "not all Filipinos are..." then you're generalising that's why I said not all Filipinos are chismosa.
@@rose_clipsi’m not talking about the people with small homes.. i’m talking about the ones without homes. W only carton boxes.
Thanks😀
CORRECT...MOST of them JUST came here bcoz the Phil. was starting to be KNOWN..
Hello Sheri new subscribe po👋
Hi thankyou sm!😊 , what would u like to see for content?
They're not homeless. it's just no job so, they're just sitting or watching people pass by. This is Philippines. This is how we are. adapt it. sorry but that's how it is. Soon you'll be home you would see any homeless. Your country help homeless but not here, the same as United States.
I didn’t mean it in a offensive way. So sorry if u took it the wrong way.
I am shock that the people in your country is always angry.
Not necessarily angry haha.. its just not as common to speak with strangers. & not as welcoming. ( still depends on the person ofcourse!)😊
Pinsan mo cguro si jean claud van damme kasi france din ata original nun..
More than telephone.
You are not offending me, I'm Filipino and I understand what you are saying but this is the result of a corrupt government and a population that is very undisciplined.
Thankyou for not being offended. Kasi ayaw ko naman tlga mkaoffend ng kababayan ko. Ksi im pinay also& my whole family is
No perfect place, don't always compare yours and the Phil...cultures are always different...if you think you are fit with days to live then find a place that you feel you are comfortable...
Yes, I know, I'm just expressing my thoughts & some culture shock 😅

Anywhere , USA ,THAILAND, PHILIPPINES ANYWHERE COUNTRY MORE HOMELESS, YES TRAFFIC IN THE PHILIPPINES IN THE OLD CITIES IN MANILA BUT THE NEW MANILA NO TRAFFIC,AND MIND your BUSINESS TOO. When I go home in the Philippines Im living in homeless manila because I’m happy over there than but im studying in US BUT IM the own of 2 buildings in the philippines I leave in homeless
Im happy here also. I didn’t offend phil in any way. Some ppl like u just take it the wrong way. I even put a disclaimer at the end.
Are you the daughter of Giselle Tongi and Jean Claude Van Damme?
Noo i’m not😊
Which part of the Philippines you saw people wearing pyjamas outside. We are civilized people. You cannot see people in Manila going to the mall wearing pyjamas. Every country has pros and con and even your country has it. But do not look at us like stupid or uncivilized. PYJAMAS!!!!!
Listen to the video again pls& try to understand the words😆
I said outside. But if they go to the mall everyone is going all out with their outfit.
Understand& listen first next time that u comment clown😂
& i said i loved doing it also right? Like sa kalsada lang or going to the palengke?

Thankyou!!😊

How come you know some tagalog language ...is your roots a filipino?
Half sya siguro..

Hahahhaha sorry😆😅😅 i’m soo not used pa to make a video talking😂
I think US have lots of homeless than Phil. esplly. in Philadelphia...😂😂😂
Well i never went to the US. So it would be weird if i made a video about us right?
You need to isolate your area Dear....."Philippines" is 7000 islands and 71 different languages. A common mistake is assuming all of them are the same. They are not. I live on Dumaran Island and "homeless" are rare. There are also no traffic lights or stop signs and few "rules" beyond social standards...
I said especially in manila dear😉 so technically i did isolate what area i was talking about.
I know its not everywhere. Saw enough places to know rhat not all areas are the same ❤
china also has homeless 😃
you haven't yet seen gasoline or diesel fuel sold in softdrink bottles in the provinces.
Omg!! I saw that before! At first i thought it was red coke hahahahha
🤣🤣🤣 And all the MARITESS minding your own business...
THAT IS FUNNY , MC DONALD IS A SNACK FOR FILIPINO. “THAT IS SO TRUE” LOL 😢
Imean if burger or fries only hahah.. i don’t mean it in a bad way!😊
they are lazy just as simple as that
Jobless ang madami hindi homeless! Yang mga nagpapalimus sa daan may mga bahay yan! You're not doing your research inday😂

Mind your business, right, then why are talking about the Philippines -
...So go to Los Angeles, San Fransisco or Kensington,PA USA if you want to see thousands of homeless, don't compare your county with us, your country Plundered trillions worth of treasures and commodities in indonesia and south america that's why you country is rich... besides don't hide, you seems to have Pinoy ancestry, maybe you mother is a Pinoy Alila in Netherland then marrieds an 80 year old Dutch, then the Alila feels she's now superior than most Pinoy in Philippines...
Who said this? & who are u to judge my mom like that? U know that u are offending your own kababayan here dba? By spreading the stereotypes na married a 80 yr old?
Tsaka WDYM DON’t hide. Look at my caption& look at my replies to other people.. its open that i’m half? I just grew up somewhere else. But both ph& nl is my country.
Pero good job men. W talking down on filipina women.😉 tells more about how u are as a person.
..So why look at us Pinoy as if all of us are homeless being..... As what I said, Dutch are the Plunderers of Easts and West Indies...
@@jtiv4972who said i look at pinoy like homeless? I just said i saw many home less people.
I also said pinoy were soo welcoming etc etc?
Why do u make everything bad?
The issue here is with ur mindset that talks down on filipina women. & that u can’t listen to the whole video. Nice kababayan men😉 talking ab filipina women that way.
@@SherilynPHNL ..I tell you those people you seeing homeless where given government houses in the province, and what hey did... they sell their houses in relocation areas and came back to cities scavenging foods and plastic bottles and begging for money, some of them are very successful that can even finish their children as Doctors and Lawyers especially those Igorot from Mountain province begging every person they meet on street... its a Philippine National sickness known as paawa effect, like a poor little cat getting your sympathy then giving them food... Public education in the Philippines is free, and those lazy beggars want to have money the easy way...
@@jtiv4972so ur telling me there are 0 real homeless people here in ph?😅 impossible. Ofc some are fake like everywhere in the world. But theres real ones also. Its just sad& i take my chances by giving them money sometimes to help out.

You're already in thailand going to Philippines just a waste of time
FOR YOUR INFO.
