- Thank you for watching!
This is the second Sashiko thimble making video.
Some of Sashiko thimbles are made with metal so I used a metal covered button kit to make this thimble.
Sashiko thimbles are not essential but help a lot if you have one when you stitch Sashiko.
They are not particularly easy for me to find at shops so I make them by myself!
If you are interested in making a soft type rather than this metal type, please watch the previous video (Part 1) from the link below.

Thanks 🙏
I have used a beer cap from my husband’s beer bottle instead of the metal button.
It worked well!
That’s such a great idea! I might try it too😆❤️🧵🪡
Very clever like your work peter Scotland xx
Thank you 😊❤️🧵🪡💕
Oooh I have so many metal buttons like these!!
That’s fantastic😆
I highly recommend this. I can't do without it.
Thank you💕❤️💕❤️
Here from Boise, great show, we are with you till the end!!
Thank you👍😊❤️🪡🧵
Great tutorial, thank you. I made one with a token coin and mini hair elastic. It's a little thick because I use denim.
Your thimble sounds great❤️ Thank you so much for sharing a great idea😊
Thanks! I think I’ll make one
Thank you! I’ve been using it all the time. The curved shape of the button really helps to hold the needle (at least for me). I hope you like it!
I love this one best
I use it all the time! It’s really useful😊 Thank you for watching❤️
Thank you great video ❤
Thank you so much❤️😊
Thank you so much this looks great!
Thank you! This one is my favourite😊🪡🧵❤️
thx for your tutorial. i made it with an old ring instead of the elastic. worked well.
Thank you! I love your idea❤️❤️
😮 How did you do that?
Thank you so much 💚🙏
Thank you❤️😊🪡🧵
Ah!
It's like taking magnesium and putting epsom salts water in one's cream.
All, is healed and nothing more breaks.
That,
is this thimble.
It sorts it alllll out.
🙏
Thank you😊❤️🪡🧵
Brilliant! I have watched both videos and am excited to make some. Question..... could you also use real leather, or would it be to difficult to push a needle through?
Thank you for your comment😊 I’m actually not sure if real leather is too hard to stitch through, but the commercial one is, I believe, real leather and it’s just single layer so you may not need to make layers with real leather. I suppose it depends on the thickness of the leather❤️🧵🪡
