Hi Joe.... I still say you would be a great rep for the Woodmizer company! You've already sold me on it. If I ever get a mill, it will be a Woodmizer. I like the water collection system. I have a similar one hooked up to one side of my greenhouse roof and it fills four fifty five gallon drums, all full right now thanks to the rain. Saves on the well usage. Looks like it's about to pour again any minute. Catch you on the next one.
The LT 15 is a cantilevered design. It looks like it isn’t, but it is. The off side isn’t raised or lowered by the height control. The off side does affect the forward movement. The mill doesn’t care about ‘level’, it cares about ‘flat’. I used a similar design to yours to set mine up, but I didn’t use the WM adjustable feet. I used 6”x 8” beams with lag screws where the feet were. A similar frame as yours but no feet. Gosh I wish it would rain here in California like it is there. Thanks for your posting.
You are correct as a carpenter /maintenance milllwrite my 40 workings years to date I always used a taute wire or string to maintain an exact plane . Doing this always allows for exacting, prisise lines to measure from start to finish on any project just like boat builders and sub builders do at electric boat and that was how I was taught when I started out years ago by an old timer, no offence intended because I'm getting there myself. Carmine reminds me of my younger days soaking up knowledge like a sponge and not afraid of hard manual labor.Hope you make out with the flooding my property is underwater like so many other people in pa ,ny and newjersy.
Always somebody trying to pull your chain! Even the Egyptians used water to level and 3 4 5 to square. There's a reason for that, then and now makes everything WORK easier. Like you said Joe, Side A should correspond to side B the length of the bed, just makes sense to make it level at all 4 corners. ☀️side note, I didn't consider geographical location of a sawyer in Rainforest! In these extremes it may require a 3to12 pitch
Dwayne Shippey I found it really interesting that you mentioned the Egyptians, that is exactly what I tell know it all young guys thinking their ideas are new, level and square was able to be achieved 1000s of years ago. Thanks for reassuring me, i thought something new was discovered that I missed.
I agree that the bed should be level and with no twist. I would be using a rotating laser level instead of a spirit level. But you have to use what you have. Good information. The board is at it's best as it comes from the saw, then nature takes over.
I used a rotating lazer to form out the concrete. If I have to I will dig out the total station. But no need to be that precise when the saw can only cut =/- 1/32" go Woodmizer. Thanks again Richard.

Hi John, It rained 10 times again today and then sunny 10 times. I should do what you did to my greenhouse, carrying buckets gets old fast.
Looked like it was going to rain but it didn't. We had my wife's 45th class reunion today, so no work at my end. Catch you later.

Non taken leon, have a good night and thanks for the comment.
Thanks for the information Joe. Yep, plumb is the best.
The bed must be flat. Use your BEGAT tool often.
