Or did he mean 2012 was the first 16x19 they made. Back when they had the great black with silver writing blades. That years blade tour was the best blade tour in my opinion. I just with the 93 had the open pattern.

Best part of these new racquet reviews is how they can easily criticize the old version. We never see it for a newly out version. No offense, I always appreciate it Tennis Spin's videos. This was just my two cents in general.

The Blades were never known as power and spin rackets. And both players are not suitable for this test anyway. The wilson coach plays old school tennis with virtually zero spin and the TennisSpin guy lacks level as he admits.

The blades have always had a 98 18x20. Maybe he got the question wrong. The blx gold 98 that also came in a pink cosmetic didn’t have a 16x19 counterpart. That stunk because that was the most stable feeling blade 98 . The ncode had the highest swingweight for the 98 but was way more flexible, especially in the throat.

Waste of a review by an old school continental forehander and a bloke who arms every ball (and a self confessed blade-hater). The Blade requires a decent level of atheleticism from the player to get anywhere near the racquet's potential as it is so low power.

I have the blade pro 98 16x19 and 18x20 and they are definitely not muted or mushy. If you can handle the swing weight, I'd highly recommend giving them a try. Initially I leaned toward the 16x19 more, but now prefer the 18x20.

@vickan240sx i have tried both. My sw is 344, so it was no issue. Blade pro is fine because its still a H22 mold with 65 RA, but the retail v9s are muted n mushy
