    Please if you have a mint condition 240..dont drift it..it will just decrease the lifetime of one of the best cars ever made..this is just my opinion

    Another one bites the dust. I hate feeling like these cars are getting trashed but everyone does the exact same build and everyone of those cars ends up a heap. I’ll probably post up my s14 rb swap restoration to hopefully inspire some of you guys to fix these cars and keep them on the road.

    alot of hookups if that only cost 7500 lol

      $7500 for just the car? That would be a rip off. He probably meant the engine swap alone. $7500 for an RB swap sounds just about right idk why you guys are tripping. Its not a fully built engine.

      sleepybird09 Tools? You don't count tools in your build mang. If you work on your own car you'll have the tools and its not like they'll only be used that one time. You also mention wheels, tires, paint, bodykit, which weren't listed in this guys build and he did not paint the body and there was no body kit on the car either. If you want to count the engine bay paint that shit is so easy and cheap to do it wouldn't make a big dent in the budget. For the interior he has a corbeau bucket seat which are super cheap and some no name brand personal steering wheel which was probably around $100 or less. Other than that hes got no other interior parts that he would spend big money on. As for the engine hes using godspeed parts which are basically ebay parts.
      I would say around $6k for the engine swap and supporting mods (radiator, intercooler, greddy intake manifold, fuel rail +injectors. tune etc) . Then those coils around $1k then you can use those $500 for the seat, steering wheel and shift knob if you want to count that. I sorta doubt he spent up to $6k on the engine with the mods and turbo but thats not unheard of he said he paid $2381 including turbo, transmission, and ECU so if true he came up right there. Again this sounds about right if you don't count the car.
      FYI the car in the thumbnail is NOT this car. Neither is the last video clip. Only the pictures are his build which again the build price sounds about right if you don't count the price of the car. You seem to be getting the impression that this was a fully built drift car.

      sleepybird09 I mean that's obvious no? You also do realize this isn't the uploaders video right? He just uploads a summary so it's not gonna be a perfect log. This is gonna skip expanses on a couple things but there are many build logs on forums to back up what I've said.

      Rb25 engine is around 2 grand, gearbox is 500, couple parts and youre looking at 5 grand maybe for the swap. bought a stock ca18 200sx for 3000 euros. so technically i can do it for 8 grand in total. nowhere near bullshit. just dig deeper

      RS1 I got my s14 stock with a rebuilt KA for 2500. 7-9k would be pretty reasonable for this whole build.

    Why do people prefer RB. ka is the best imo

    • @joek1302
      @joek1302 8 років тому

      why do you think that

    • @evanmastermind
      @evanmastermind 8 років тому

      +Joeker k dirt cheap. ka-t makes better torque than an sr

    • @joek1302
      @joek1302 8 років тому

      +apex128 how does it handle boost? and is it a pain to slap a turbo on with supporting mods? I'm thinking about getting an s14 but so many different opinions on the engines

    • @evanmastermind
      @evanmastermind 8 років тому

      +Joeker k go on ka-t.org. people make 350whp on stock KAs all the time.

    • @evanmastermind
      @evanmastermind 8 років тому

      +Joeker k Also the KA has a low compression of 9.5:1 (s14) and 9.0:1 (s13) making boost a good choice. They make good torque due to their displacement and stroke, meaning they can spool a turbo faster resulting in less turbo lag. They also have forged cranks and iron blocks.
