- It’s been in the news a lot that there is some sort of uprising in Spain against tourists and in particular, British tourists.
Well I’m here on the Costa Del Sol, so let’s have a chat about it

I live in Spain , have done for 8 years , this is total MSM BS , Spain relies on its Tourism industry, The pandemic ruined many businesses, they want the trade back desperately , Stop believing the MSM ,
I saw graffiti everywhere in Barcelona saying the same. How can you say it's not true?
@@iguanaman08because Spain relies on its tourism industry to survive economically and the majority of people do not go around graffitiing messages of hate on walls 🤷♂️

In Turkey, I encountered drunk British tourists in a restaurant having a food fight with other British tourists. Bad behaviour is why Mediterranean people are tired of tourists from the UK.
The uk have a problem with channel crossing tourists
My lord, a food fight embarrassing 🙈
If only tourists could enjoy a few drinks but not cause trouble.
Why are all these people dying to come here then. And then misbehaving.

that's both grotesque and depressing.
I despise what the governments have done to England.
It’s getting like that in a few places in Bristol too plus some are becoming a no go area
Same here in Swansea, walk around the town centre on any given day and you'll rarely hear a local accent nor many English speaking conversations!

Jon, I live in France (Brittany), my experience here as a Brit has been nothing short of hell on earth!!
But, in all fairness the average Brit before me in the supermarket queue doesn't acknowledge the girl on the till when it his turn, he just carries on talking on his mobile and then dumps a pocket-load of change, tissues and sweet-wrappers on the belt and leaves with his beers!
I had a meeting at the tax office last week, and I was the FIRST Brit the advisor had EVER met who had spoken French with her in 15 years! Sadly our reputation for ignorance is worldwide.

Gibraltar, just down the road, is one of our favourite destinations in that part of the world. I never mention that to any locals in Spain, though.
I spent a fortnight in Magaluf one weekend. Torremolinos doesn't look too bad, though. We were in Gran Canaria last week and all the locals seemed quite happy to take loads of the funny money we brought with us and I don't think any of the drinks, and we had quite a few, contained any unusual additives. Been to spain maybe 100 or more times . I can remember a fight in Ibiza once and thats about it , oh i did see a pissed up black scouser chick get arrested whilst in a bikini after she demanded to use a toilet when not a customer .... clever girl ...... . 99.9% of the time everyone is civil and polite . I understand to a degree the hate thanks to all the ethnics here but the brits go home and the brits spend lots of cash .
Walking the streets in the morning before the clean up its absolutely a mess but thats a small price to pay for the millions of euros spent that night i would have thought and its no better or worse than any city centre sunday morning .
Many Spaniards sold many towns and properties because they were run down shat holes and were very happy to take the money given for their over valued properties and now after many decades of improvements the Spaniards want it all back and are trying to make life uncomfortable to aid getting the properties back now they are worth living in. I can obviously sympathise with the locals being inundated with gobby tourists BUT they would soon miss the boost to the local economies from the gobby ones. A real case of swings and roundabouts.
Over valued? Brit “expats” (migrants) got their hands on those properties for peanuts
I think the rental problems are actually due to the whole airbnb concept the landlords get far more money renting out as airbnb rather than a 'normal' rental so this impacts locals trying to rent somewhere, so the anti-tourism gets worse - rather than just 'larger louts'
It is the same problem in Cornwall, and has caused the same dislike of tourists.
Surely we can send them plenty of migrants for a permanent holiday !

i get what the locals are complaining about.
the locals are getting priced out of their home towns. in hte past most tourists used to stay in purpose built hotels now people are buying up anywhere the locals would live and setting them up for short teams rents at tourist prices making it a lot harder for the locals to find somewhere and when they do the prices are much higher and less secure as the could be kicked out when its turned into yet another air bnb.
air bnb have gone from someone renting out the property when they arent their to big businesses buying up anything available with some owners running thousands of properties. not just in spain but in a lot or touristy areas and even small villages in the UK pricing locals out of the own local community.
Torremolinos is basically little Briton.
It is beautiful but i can sort of understand the locals not being happy.

not going to find that i Spain, except maybe Galicia.
I wont go back to Spain this year. Let them have their quiet places but watch the bars and restaurants and hotels slowly close down..
Spain will continue to do well.
I've only been there once, never again. Italy is a million times more hospitable and genuine. It's more beautiful as well
we spend 3 months every winter touring in Spain and never encountered any anti-tourist attitude, let alone anti-British. we are always made to feel most welcome, especially when in smaller resorts or away from the coast
Gave up on the Costa del crime 50 years ago discovered culture!
Thanks for clarifying 👍
Nobody sees the bigger picture, in that Spain will not be able to pay its membership fee to the EU, which in turn will bring down the EU….winning 😅
Barcelona would be a fishing village if it weren´t for the tourists
Esa frase es para Benidorm, no Barcelona, jjajajja
@@Alberto-bu7gt Es igual....
I don’t holiday in Spain so not a problem for me but I have always been of the opinion if a company no longer wants your business then don’t provide it.
The company NEED your custom but you don’t need to spend your money there
2:10 that building on your right looks quite shocked
Spain is lovely, the people always seem nice, so long as you are, let's say, considerate. Now, me as a English fellow, that loves the seaside....hmm...our seaside towns, let's just say..no comparison. Love the straight talking videos, on any subject. Peace and goodwill.
The British should vote with the feet, there are a lot of far better places to visit and spend there money.
I holiday in greek islands, far superior to Spain plus the Greeks are very welcoming, would never go back to Spain
