What can you say, the ultimate musician, singer. I'm a believer, however there must have been a very big reason why the big fella needed Mr Bolan. If I get in, some great company.

I absolutely love Marc Bolan, and his music, but, according to Tony Visconti, though Marc had an original style on guitar, Tony says that Marc was not a technical guitarist at all. According to Tony, Marc didn't even know the name of the notes on the guitar, nor the name of the chords he was playing. He played totally by feel. So I don't know if he would've been able to instruct, unless you were with him and he just shows you what he's doing. I don't think he would've been able to explain it in words.
Marc’s later albums were not that memorable, but his last one from 1977, “Dandy in the Underworld”, showed new promise for his career getting back on track.
"Ride a White Swan" is where the hit-bound Marc Bolan story starts. Whimsical, all dolled up with poetry and attitude - the bridge between their acoustic and electric styles, catching T.Rex on the cusp of caterpillar and butterfly.
Gloriously Shambolic. All Marc ever wanted to do was sell out and become famous. But despite that, he was freakishly sui geneeris. His sound, look, songwriting, and conception of pop music were all delightfully odd and in that great British tradition of campy cheek and charming amateurishness. No wonder the punks worshiped him and he loved 'em right back.
Absolutely. T. Rex live sounds like a teen garage band who only had a couple of rehearsals. But as I wrote above, the amateurishness is part of the charm.
Marc’s face at 1.23 feeling as good as you could ever feel it’s an amazing face of joy and the reason is he messed the lyrics up bad just before and then the next lyrics are wear you hair long and you can’t go wrong and he just laughs and smiles to himself hahah beautiful
I love these videos of T Rex as a trio
Me encanta!!!! Increible canción! La mejor musica antes de los 90S!!
Wear your hair long, Marc, you can't go wrong
Einfach wunderbar. Erinnerungen an meine Jugend. Bin immer noch großer Fan. Bin tief berührt .

david Wood Damn same. There ain’t such a thing as an afterlife tho, unfortunately. If there is our secret psychic word is Kalmiyh 😂
*@david wood* Yep ...ofcourse it's a "big fella" ..no woman could ever hope to cobble a planet together in just six 24 hour working days....
I loved everything T. rex and Marc Bolan did. Brilliant
Happy Days, always a little bit of Marc in me😘
Quite a heavy sound for just the three of them. Of course things really came together, when drummer Bill Legend soon joined the band.
I love his use of the wah wah pedal on this song
Roots of me when a woz 12 my idole cosmick
Prefer Tyrannosaurus Rex myself!
Can understand that , but the first two T-Rex albums were something else also .
Has a wah pedal ever been put to better use?
The answer my friend......is no :)
Sorry, yes! It Sounds awfull.
I would have loved to have taken guitar lessons from Marc...such an amazing guitarist.

He like as Syd Barrett.
Станислав Матвиенко Da.
you spell do not know how to.
No he 's like MARC BOLAN that's better !
except talented
Even though Syd was a huge influence on him, as was Donovan... Bolan was still an original.
He died too young i recon we could have got more great music from him
We did..he was reincarnated as Bowie..xxx

Best band Ever
Brilliant and bloody awesome
Musically can we go back to the days of Marc Bolan and Janis Joplin.
Superb
super MAESTRO BOLAN...........
Najleprza muzuka skończyła z końcem 70 lat ubieglłego wieku i tyle w temacie!
we’re only on the 21st century, marc made music in the 20th.. are you a time traveller
None of the two were playing live.
It looked absolutely fantastic all the same.
This is the 'video' that made it the hit.....

Great song. As simple as genius.
A little nugget of UA-cam Gold
Mam swoje lata ! Niema i niebędzie takiej muzy !!
Oh yeah
Now THAT'S the best version I ever did see......
This is so far away from the easyness, coolness and groove of the 45rpm version
Marc Bolan is addicting
Bolan and his junkie cardboard box-player.
Kinda funny but they were all cool 😅😅
@@schorsch5314 I agree with both of your statements.
*@adamtzsch* 😄Don't forget he was also great at throwing mini tambourines into the crowd to incite the wet panty brigade.

Brilliant.
Was für ein genialer Song von T - Rex.
🙏16.09. ...again...2022...🙏❤
Awesome!!. Never seen!
WoW ❗
Rid the wild wah wah
A star.
Dreadful to think the 3 boys are all dead and Bolan and Currie didn't even survive the '70s...
Bill Legend is still alive (Drummer)
JakeWalshMusic And Steve Currie died 1981 - sorry! RIP all those ex T Rex (and June) no longer with us.

great quality!
Raw...
Amen
And the rest lol
But not great live performer. Visconti made it a Great Studio Track. But the material always was basically his.
