Something that Baker brought to my attention that I was mistaken with was the gameplay setting. The sliders are built for competitive style instead of simulation. Sorry for missing that! I didn't think of that setting in the slightest because I rarely touch it but that could be why some people are not seeing things play out properly! Hopefully you guys see this and make that correction.
yea that improved a bit of the issues. I would say defense (even solid statted ones) dont intercept much and the passing / rushing yards can be inflated a bit. However all the scenarios and stuff do want a high amount of yards so there is an argument there. I would just like to feel like the cbs matter a bit more. I get sacks just fine but so many passes after passes being made by even weak qbs.
I know!!! I was thinking that an awesome addition would be to incorporate what they add with old Maddens and NCAA. When you a new franchise you can choose and existing coach OR When you create your own you choose: Motivator, offensive specialist, defensive specialist. From there you can choose what scheme you want. OFFENCE: Air Raid, west coast vert or power, heavy run/ PA, spread. DEFENCE: 3-4, 4-3, 3-3-5, 4-2-5 (quarters, cover2, cover3, cover 1, cover 6) Then you can choose if you want to start as a head coach, OC or DC. Like in NCAA you can get extensions, fired, offers for other OC, DC and then eventually HC jobs. Then in the gameplan you can adjust alignments, coverages, DL slants, (they should put stunts back in the game) match on certain plays and not on others, put in cover 7 and cover 8 and a proper cover 9. If Madden can do match then they can do cover 7,8, and 9. Have a setting where you can max or limit how many hot routes. (Real life you cant just change a play by changing every route) This would be awesome
Good video and details however including a link to Baker's stuff even though you're using his slider details and featuring his video breakdown is lame.
Still wish they put in a coach mode like in ncaa 14. The play calls can drive me nuts especially when they attempt 60 plus yard field goals. Went back to 23 for the last month or so just because I didn’t like how 24 was playing out. Looking forward to giving this a spin. Just need to patch the rookie draft appearance glitch
I’m actually a huge fan of these settings now that I’ve changed to them with going back to Pro. Def needed to changed the kick settings. I took the tackling/catching down from 100 as well. Boosted the pass coverage and I think I’m at a good place with how they play now. Much more realistic and natural! Thanks man
hey curious about the changes you made. can you tell me what numbers you ended up at? I noticed a few sliders need some slight adjustment given the numbers from sim.
glad they are working for you! Check out my pinned comment about one of the settings I missed. If you are happy with what you have now then I'd keep them but I had the wrong style shown in the video which could have caused some sliders to seem off.
Interesting Slider concept. Sounds like it could work. But i feel like the speed thresh slider works that way but not the others. If 0 thresh only makes slow guys slower, QB accuracy would do the same. But it doesnt, 99 QBs get worse at 0 but 99 speed doesnt get slower. Idk just thoughts. Keep up the work i love your CPU vs CPU content
Madden has a few slider sets that work opposite of what you would expect. The speed slider for example, when you lower the number it is lowering the amount of "compressing" the game is doing to make the players play more similar in speed.
@CBGamingYT7 I got ya, also another interesting thought is I think CPU vs CPU at default is probably how the ratings are "meant" to look. Since I think CPU plays the same throughout all modes, it's just the user players that get "nerfed". CPU vs CPU doesn't have a user. So maybe game speed changes rookie - all madden. But I don't think the ratings do. Just the user. Also just a guess I have no clue like anyone else lol
@CBGamingYT7 I remember the old maddens each difficulty had CPU sliders at 50, but users were like 25AM, 50AP, 75Pro etc. Changing the user slider would actually change ur difficulty, not the CPU slider. So I feel All Pro was 50 and CPU was 50. So All Pro might be "True" ratings. And 50 sliders CPU is "True" ratings no matter the difficulty. But maybe all pro would have the best results / Game speed based on those older games? Idk
so decided to do a restart of franchise after some things werent making sense. So using these sliders here is what I found: QBs all having 3-400 yards a game no matter what almost every game. RBs hit 120 on average. QB fumbled a ton when scrambling (some looked super strange with a few making sense in the situation). Interceptions almost never happened. Trevon Diggs for example had 2 in a whole season where he was active every game. They drop the interceptions a ton even when they make a great play and many of the good CBs would catch it in that moment. So it feels like crappier QBs and bad throws need to be punished a bit more. Maybe not a super huge change but slight changes. Suggestions on what changes to make and try? I saw another set someone posted in comments but some of the sliders mentioned changed drastically. Like speed going from 5 to 100 when the sliders are supposed to take stats to create realism. I feel things probably arent too far off but my knowledge on sliders is minimal. Just seeing the best suggestions from your video given what I noticed over 2 seasons.
I would maybe bring interceptions and pass coverage up a little and see how it looks. I try to go up in 10s when trying to find my number and once I hit the spot where it’s too much I work back by like 2 or 3 until I find the sweet spot
These look very good. What are your thoughts on editing quarterbacks’ archetypes so they’ll take deeper shots down the field, move around when pressured instead of standing still, and take off when there is an opening?
I understand the concept but part of me also feels like that can spoil the beauty of finding a QB that can do the things you want and having to make those tough decisions.
Hmm not sure if it is a update issue, but I consistently get 350+ passing yard games by both QBs also, not seeing many INTs. The whole secondary got 5 ints during the whole season. Will be playing around with pass coverage and INT sliders
A developer of Madden said that the All Pro setting is the beta for the most realistic setting for franchise mode and the most life like as to the way the players move
HI! thank you for your content! Love it. One question tho, If i was to switch to USER VS CPU. is there a video or info on how to get this same balance? I really want to be able to play some games but not sure whats settings to change the USER and CPU Sliders
thanks! anytime I am looking for a good balance when playing I have always used operation sports for slider guides. Its tough because everyone is different but Matt10 has been a great resource for sliders for YEARS. I would highly recommend checking out his forum on that site. There are plenty of others on there that also do user vs. CPU sliders so I'm sure you could find something that would give you the balance you are looking for!
@CBGamingYT7 Thank you for commenting back! Yeah I really enjoy how this exposes the attributes of the players. I always enjoy watching my AJ Brown showing off his strength and speed bouncing off defenders after a catch and dragging them 10 yards into the end zone 🤣
Flags need to be turned WAYYY up. I have mine set in the 80s and im just finally happy with the amount of flags there are. Also having injury down THAT low is insane. I have injuries at 57 during the pre-season and 49 during the reg season. Also run my fatigue at like 60 which gets great rotations.
Thanks for the video, however i am trying to understand something, if i have Progressive fatigue ON, does it mean that if players goes below a certain number they wont be in starting lineup? until they fully recover? it is kind of blurry for me, so these slides are not made for PF ON right? thanks!
Great job on these! Are the settings on the main menu at default or have you adjusted those? Also - what do you have ball hawk and heat seeker on or off?
whenever I use settings in franchise I always set them in main menu and then import them. There can be some weird stuff that happens if you do not do it this way. I have the ball hawk and heat seeker stuff on I believe because the game defaults them to be on. I don't actually adjust them for my franchise since I do not play the games.
I will be after this season is over. I didn't want to make such a drastic change midway through the season and cause the teams to play differently after things have already been established.
I just tested a custom book to see if the playcall cool down mattered. It did not, it would call plays back to back with cooldown on 10. So i think CPU vs CPU doesnt accoint for that setting. Just somthing i noticed
I have not tried it without this year to see if there was any difference. Wouldn’t surprise me that they don’t work anymore. I do know they were working the last 2 years based off what I seen but madden will madden lol
Did the new update mess up coverages. My number one corner on the depth chart always plays in the slot no matter what I do. I want him to play outside exclusively like Darius Slay does
@@CBGamingYT7 I don’t have him in the slot corner position. I’m playing the Raiders and my number one corner just follows DeVante Adams no matter where he lines up. I have him just outside as CB1 but he travels everywhere. This just happened after the last update.
Hey CB I love this video but I do have a question if I keep the Cpu sliders the same is there a way to get the player sliders to fit in with the current gameplay.
you can match the player sliders up with the CPU sliders but if you are playing CPU vs CPU it shouldn't have any difference in the gameplay. I had a suspicion for a while that they did but I haven't been able to find any correlation to back my case up. Is that what you mean?
Hey idk if you ever did this but what if you created players for each team at each position all players 99 overall and do CPU vs cpu , does these settings matter? Because these games I be watching , my defense is good but they ain’t catching picks for shit like wide open picks that I feel a 99 created player should be making lol
Sliders make a huge difference but there isn’t one to fix the interception drop issue outside of the slider for it and the back end coding of the game that we can’t touch
Yes and the cpu run is decent. Not OP but I get some good runs. I’m tweaking some things just because pass defense seems to have been destroyed recently with updates
Not sure if this is happening for anyone else but I’ve simmed through 4-5 games on these sliders and it feels like pass defense doesn’t matter. Almost no pass deflections or breakups. Seems like missed passes are 100% on QB accuracy. I’ve got 2 x 90+ CBs, and 85CB and 2 x 85 Safeties on my roster. Gonna try bumping the defensive sliders up a bit. Just wondering if anyone’s noticed anything similar
let me know how it goes! I know that Madden sort of nerfed coverage in one of these last updates so there may need to be adjustments made. I will learn more as I start to use them in my Bucs franchise!
Try lowering pass and run block down to 25, catching down to 52, int up to 28, pass coverage and reaction up to 100, and player speed up to 100 and give it a spin.
@@DarthGunner90 that’s more or less what I’m doing right now. I only lowered pass blocking for more sacks. I raised QB accuracy a bit becuase I saw too many inaccurate passes from 90+ QBs. Still fine rooming things

Alright so after one game I lowered the pass and run block slide a down to 25, catching down to 52, and I raised pass coverage and reaction up to 100 along with player speed up to 100 and I’m definitely liking the results better than game 1.
Tried these on play now, CPU vs CPU, exhibition game. Giants vs 49ers. I don't know if it's drastically different because I haven't started my franchise yet. But the kicking and punting seems way off. Every single punt for both teams was a 10 yard shank. Not one punt went further than 15 yards. There were 9 punts. One punter averaged 8.6 yards per punt. The other averaged 3 yards per punt. Graham Gano attempted 7 field goals and made one which was 36 yards. He didn't have enough power to make a 40 yard field goal. His kick power is 98 lol. Both kickers made their extra points but the ball was 5 yards above the crossbar every time. All the kickoffs were caught between the 15-20 yard line. Not sure what I'm missing here. I thought the offensive and defensive gameplay was pretty good. But kicking was atrocious.
@@CBGamingYT7 I'll do the same with the kicking sliders and keep tinkering around with them. Traditionally, I would have it play on all-pro but I'll keep it at pro after seeing his explanation. I like being able to see a bigger difference with players based on their attributes. Typically, I'll find a good legends roster to download, edit the players so they're not OP to begin with and do a fantasy draft. The league will be more saturated with talent but I always try to make it so the studs stick out with their play on the field. I do the CPU vs CPU thing with every sport game that I am able to. But Madden has always been the most fun because I just like football and I can control all 32 teams. Having every single game play out makes stats much more entertaining.
Yeah lol in the beginning of the Madden cycle catching was not working very well. Since the last few updates I’m working on a set with them in mind. I currently have it back to 50 for my Bucs franchise. You can check out the updated ones from my latest video

Yeah I think Madden actually fixed kicking this year, I am going to be moving the special teams sliders back to default!
Receivers catch everything? Is that okay?
I’ve made some adjustments to the sliders since then. I have WR at 48 currently
@@CBGamingYT7 where can i find those?
@@caleb8198 I believe it was episode 18 of my Bucs franchise I go over them
@@caleb8198 sorry, episode 19
100 catching is crazy 😂
Yeah lol in the beginning of the Madden cycle catching was not working very well. Since the last few updates I’m working on a set with them in mind. I currently have it back to 50 for my Bucs franchise. You can check out the updated ones from my latest video
Nah bro I believe Abilities should be turned on
Of course you can use abilities if you would like. I just can’t guarantee the sliders will work as intended with them.
@CB_Gaming what about auto subs?
I have tried so many different sets and none of them seem to actually work. EA has not fixed auto subs since I think Madden 21 or 22.
sABOS GAMEPLAY MOD BLOWS A NT SLIDER SET AWAY!!! i suggest trying them
Yeah you are correct. Any mod is going to fix the issues way better than a slider set. But that is only available on PC
thank you for this. really needed this for my broncos rebuild🥲
