    Ingredients:-
    Ready Boiled Dal
    1 cup toor dal (Split pigeon peas)
    (Pressure cooked with 2 cups water, 1 tsp. Salt, 1 tsp. Turmeric powder, ¼ tsp. Asafoetida)
    For tempering:-
    2 tbsp. Oil
    1 tsp. Cumin Seeds
    1 tsp. Mustard Seeds
    1 tsp. Asofietida
    10-12 Curry Leaves
    2-3 Green Chillies
    1 tsp. Red chilly powder
    1 Tomato, chopped
    3 cloves of garlic crushed
    3-4 Kokam
    1 tbsp. Goda masala
    ½ tsp. Sugar / jaggery
    Salt. to taste
    ¼ cup Coriander leaves
    Water as required
    Method:-
    Add water to the pressure cooked dal and whisk it.
    In a deep pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic, curry leaves, asafoetida, green chillies and roast until garlic turns slightly golden brown in colour.
    Add the dal and stir.
    Now add tomatoes and coriander leaves, goda masala, red chilli powder, mangosteen (Kokum), sugar and stir.
    Boil on high flame for 7-8 minutes.
    Amti is ready to eat!
