Leander

This was Jubilee class steam loco 45690 Leanders first visit to Devon. A big crowd was out to great her along the sea wall at Teignmouth and it was great to see Dave Hunt out and about again.
She was working the 0846 Slough to Par Royal Duchy. The tour was worked by 47772 ex 47537 as far as Taunton where Leander took over. The 47 was supposed to run ahead of the tour from this point and take over from Leander at Plymouth and work the tour forward to Par. This arrangement is due to the turntable at St Blazey not being commissioned to turn steam locos at this current time. Unfortunately the 47 failed and the tour only worked as far as Plymouth. Leander was turned on the Laira Triangle.
