I have to respectfully disagree. They all look clear eyed and sound like they are under control. They usually talk over each other constantly when they are blitzed.

Nope, five more years before he is finally release from his contact with MG to work full time on FF.. Might have something to do with Gene being sick, as he seemed to not want to be around people being sick and spreading their germs around. I don't blame him but I don't know.. He has had periods where he seems subdued or quieter than normal all thou MG's run. Looks like he had a number project going on at this time, The DIck Van Dyke show, some talk shows, Treasure Island, Dean Martin Roast.. He may just had been tried during this week..
@@sdlively27 Plus he had that mustache. It spoke volumes - Lol. I think another factor might be that he didn't always need to be the centre of attention, and with two male guest stars with larger-than-life personalities (Nipsey Russell and Charles Nelson Reilly) he was OK with just chillin'.
@@annika_panicka Don't quote me but I think one told me that his mother past this year? I think so that might be Richard just reflecting on the events that happened in his life in 1973. But Richard seemed to have those quiet moments in episode though the seasons where you didn't hear much from Richard. I guess there is just time where you say, ok I just going to watch and listen this week, I hear uh Larry Hagman would do. Wake one morning and say, I am just going to listen and watch today.. ;0)
@@sdlively27 That was probably me with the biographical details, Littlemouse. Yes, good memory. Richard's mother died in England at the end of August 1973. This episode was filmed December 1, 1973, the first day of tapings right after a month-long break. On an episode filmed before the break (#97, I think), which aired November 21, 1973, you can see him holding up a sign that said "Hello Dad." Piecing it together, I think he might have had his father come to visit in the US during the month of November. (Because how else would he have seen the sign?) His father, Arthur Emm, would have been 76, so there's a good chance Richard flew to England to bring him over, and maybe he even brought him back. So yeah, he might be a little run down here. (Although he doesn't actually seem that subdued to me.) In 1974, his children's long-time nanny, Amy "Mamie" Baker, died at their home in California (she was around 70, I think) and in March 1975 his father died in England. So it was a tumultuous period for him on a personal level from 1973-1975, and he was also raising two young boys as a single father.
I HATE when he does Bible Questions SO MUCH!!!!! They're always making fun of it, and I'm SICK of it!!!! (but I did know the answer was ribs (OBVIOUSLY)!
The clothing back then was just awful. I remember having a powder blue polyester suit. No lie it was considered a nice color back then. Also the way they matched colors made no sense. Just look at Gene Rayburns suite. That was rediculous. Thank God that style went away fast.
Unique show and so funny and crazy questions. Some words for the 5000 dollars is so easy and some are ao hard.
Nipsey was a sophisticated gentleman
I agree and so creative
And hilarious, love his rhymes🤣
he was the intelligent of the lot... Richard comes second.. they matched together on a lot of questions.. His answer Booker T Washington was on point.
everyone is lit AF in this ep
Charles - “9 years ago, we took the Staten Island ferry together.”
Richard - “9 years ago, you were the Staten Island fairy.”
Wooow 😂😂😂😂
Sharon commented, "zonked again?" That shows how popular Let's Make a Deal was at that time.
The first I asking for a transfer from this floor from Charles! ;0)
"Nine years ago you _were_ the Staten Island fairy." LOL
Richard is ( was) great
Thanks - I was wondering if Charles had been obese, but your spelling cleared it up for me. Yes, very funny, Ricardo!
@@bradstephan7886 Lol - he was quite openly gay, and bless the TV-viewing world of the time for accepting him. 🌈💗

That’s the $5000 answer lol
The Staten Island FAIRY joke is amazing and priceless...lol
That remark would definetly not FLY today. Politically incorrect, and offensive!
You could see the uncomfortable half- smile on CNR's face after that was said. .
He was a classy gentleman.

Yes. South of Yellowstone is the Grand Teton National Park
Wyoming.
Nipsey was a treasure
Audience participants should have received a T-shirt that read...” all I got from this TV game show was this lousy T-shirt and polled”
😜😜😜😜😜😅😅😅
Or "I was in the Match Game studio audience and all I got was this lousy BLANK."
This episode was hilarious!!
Beverly Garland was a knockout; hard to believe that she was pushing 50 when this aired.
This is DEFINITELY an after break taping LOL!

My favorite game show....Elizabeth had a sexy voice.

Steady Gene.
The Celebs were bombed
How often did they get contestants as timid as Elizabeth?
quite often
In 1975 there was Evie Phineas. She has Elizabeth beat.
lol, you should SEE Evie! lool (you couldn't HELP but feel bad for her)
I don't care if this was a before lunch taping, an after lunch taping, or just an out to lunch taping, but Beverly had had a few.

and a sexy voice with the Irish accent
but not very bright
