Those pump sprayers work great. I have two of them and I like the fan tip sprayer for spraying weeds.

Will Preen help with Rock beds too? My landscape rock is always such a pain to keep up with weeds. I spray them every couple weeks it's a never ending story.

Pre-emergent. Depending upon where you're located depends on when you drop it. Here in the south I personally put mine out already as temps are dropping, and a little early is better late than never. Lowes, HD, etc will carry some type/variety. Lesco 007 is a big one at those. I personally use Anderson Barricade. Little more pricey but it worked for sure in the first year in my home. I'm sticking with it until I wanna shake it up with at different pre emergent. BYD has videos recently about putting out pre emergent.

@@mrc545 I'm right beside you in upstate SC. Imma head over and get this preemergent. Following your tips this is the best my yard has looked but I still have a weeds here and there. Next year I should be great because this will be my first year applying preemergent in the fall. Thanks chief!
