Subscribed! Dude, you're already one of my favorite UA-cam music teachers. You're teaching valuable lessons that beginners are or WILL struggle with. Played when I was 16 or so but maybe a few months of just mindless noodling (sold my gear in '98) and I started playing last year in my early-mid 40's. I can solo easier than chord transitions.I can literally play "Santeria" solo (%85 roughly) but I struggle with chord transitions and can barely do a C chord and my D transition is so slow. I'd love for you to do the Sublime "Santeria" riff because the arpeggio in the beginning riff is hard (so is holding a F# major shape) but sounds simple. It's a fundamental skill beginners will need to learn, plus song is just that riff and up strumming a couple chords. If you're looking for good beginner songs that are achievable and sound really good. You should listen to "Pawnshop" by Sublime.... that riff is killer but simple enough to play. If you shred that.... they will come. Sorry, bad field of dreams algorithm joke. But I love the channel and I like where it's going, not sure what your level is, but playing guitar I know your ear is good. You caught the octave on the 5th fret that everyone misses in your "Local H Bound for the floor" video! I have a good ear (always have) for things like that, better than I can play guitar tbh. Just keep at it and your channel will grow, I promise because your algorithm will hit patches. What really makes guitar channels grow on here quicker, is little tutorial videos for songs people want to hear, ie. you're "Bound for the Floor" video is how I found you. Once I heard how much better your tutorial was (again that octave on the 5th fret lmk you knew what you were doing) with the fact you're a good teacher and you articulate yourself well. Just keep going and don't give up... I really do think PawnShop (or song's that aren't heavily covered) will boost your channel in the algorithm. It's got a catchy hook and Brad blended (reggae, punk, blues etc.) styles to make his own unique character. He died before his talent could be refined in the studio unfortunately but, if you're doing this then you love music as much as me. Give it a listen and let me know what band you think he got inspiration? I almost want to say Zeppelin and Skyward... his vibrato was so clean and yet dirty on that track. Sorry for the rant, but I truly love all music (only expiation, not the biggest country fan, but I'm pushing myself to listen for what I'm missing) and even listening to Robert Johnson old recordings, it really sounds like there's a 2nd guitarist playing with him?! All music pays homage to genre's before it....IMO at least. Keep going man, the more videos you put out the quicker you'll jump. The algorithm likes frequency, but you're gonna be huge if you keep going... I'm routing for you. We need more healthy content like this online to keep us sharp and cultured and using our creative minds. Sometimes our brains get filled with useless online social media mush and this is some of the most healthy lean content you can consume IMO... seriously it's like delicious fruits and vegetable's for your brain box if you play guitar!
