Yeaaa...the part traveling faster than sound is the tassel looking thing at the end, not the thin string it's attached to. Meaning to properly cut something, you gotta hit it with ONLY the tip during the crack. Almost every bit of "damage" done in this video is basically just rope burn. It took me years to get my coordination good enough to ACTUALLY cut with the tip instead of just wrapping the string around stuff really fast.
So in high school we had just finished P.E. and we were at one of those schools where you could actually shower after gym class. So you get a bunch of 15 and 16 year old guys in a room with damp towels and we start grab assing around snapping each other with towels when one of my friends took a particular nasty shot in the nuts and he let out a horrific scream while saying, "My nuts!". Naturally we all turned to look and his sack had been ruptured by the snap of a towel and one of his nuts was hanging in all it's glory..outside the sack. Weird thing was there was this moment before the blood started pouring out where it was just a testicle hanging in the air and an oddly deflated ballsack. Thankfully for him he straight up passed out. The locker room erupted into chaos and screaming, people running around like headless chickens. My other friend and I ran over to him and there was just so much blood so we threw our towels on him and started applying pressure. Screamed for the male gym teacher but he didn't hear us at first so we just bundled him up and started booking towards the main entrance of the school wearing shitty school towels carrying a naked guy dripping blood. Luckily one of the other guys in class got the teacher and told him to call 911 and that there had been an accident. Bloody up to my elbows in my friend's ball blood frantic as all hell and trying not to throw up was not a good look for 16 year old me. It's not really a good look for anyone to be fair. We were at the front entrance and the nurse comes running around the corner and she bodily starts shoving us off and we're just standing there looking at our friend when it dawns on us that we're damn near naked in the foyer of the school. We realized we couldn't do any more and shuffled off to the locker room to reshower and get dressed. What a fucking nightmare. Oh well, that's school for you.

After I retired from the service I worked on a cattle ranch. Using a shock prod to force recalcitrant cattle into a squeeze chute or a loading ramp was the 'chose du jour' (thing of the day in French), and it still is. What I would like to see you do is to take a cattle shock prod to a place where a crowd of people are standing around, maybe at a local night club with humans lined up for entry and prove what a great crowd mover it can be. I am not sure if you have ever ran into the working end of a taser as used by police, but the self done shocking by a cattle prod could be very entertaining! Police train in the use of taser with them being the recipient of being tased, and it looks like ever so much fun to be tased! So, Tyler, if you don't have any cardiac problems, I think that being cattle prodded could really draw in many new viewers! I double dare you! I am kidding you, sort of. As a matter of fact, as security for a local church, I do carry or have at hand several different items to take down anyone that attacks or threatens the church and/or its' congregants. My church is located about six miles away from the city's police and sheriff's department, so immediate action along with calling them is the only choice of things to do is apparent. Amongst the items are cans of pepper spray, a pepper ball gun, a taser, a collapsible baton, two pistols, and a shotgun loaded with double ought buckshot, along with a very powerful flashlight with enough lumens to temporarily night blind an attacker, along with a good set of security cameras with an NVR for night viewing criminals approaching the church, night or day. You can try the above items to prove the effectiveness of such instruments of takedown power You can forego the use of a blackjack because they can cause some real damage. I believe that short of using my sort of .45 cal pistols or 12 gauge shotgun (and blackjack), I do believe that you can demonstrate the effectiveness of such items! I can show the upcoming UA-cam entry with you showing how effective the use of such items to local criminals that are residing in the local jail, will fend off any tries by them to 'visit' my church for their nefarious stuff! I do believe that with you going into harms way, tasting awful things, such as peppery stuff, even going to the extent of trying out pickles and pickle juice (the worst of any kind of self torture), you would be The Man To Go To, for such a route of self discovery! If you can't find it within yourself to do this for me, then do it for the safety of some very good people! If you can do this, I'll put you on the prayer list for my church for a future miraculous explosion of viewership! As you can see, the church will benefit, as well as you! Imagine breaking into a home and the owner uses a bull whip as self defense. Obscurity wise it has to be one of the weirdest. Most basic is a knife followed by a gun, than samurai sword, than bull whip
Really gotta start taking energy absorption into account when you're doing these things. If you put them in something sturdy where they can't move then you'll have a lot more success. And no, a plastic table that absorbs all the force doesn't count as something sturdy, nor a stake in the ground or a hunk of pvc pipe.
Whips are no joke and can easily rip a finger off of a hand if it's whipped over and over. There's been documented cases of people being killed with whips, especially in the middle east where it's commonly used as a punishment.
The way people die from whips is usually a "death by a thousand cuts" type of death. They don't do super deep cuts but they are deep enough to cause infections but more often the death is from shock due to pain rather than injury

If a whip strikes the throat or an area with a large blood vessel, the person can easily bleed out very very quickly. That's also assuming they didn't add something to the end of the whip, such as blades or barbs.

Maybe its more accurate the dmg test if tyler use pig carcass.. It has skin..fat..and bones like human.. Ballistic gel is just for studies for medical school and for bullet penetration test but it does not means its same density of human flesh
That's a really good question. I would try to get an FPS measurement and weight, but due to it being connected to the rest of the whip, I don't know how accurate the FPE would be... Very interested in seeing your conclusions.. More power than a regular pellet rifle? Less than .22 LR?
It’s significantly more than both. A whip exerts about 700 joules of force at impact compared to a .22’s 70-400 (depending on what type of both firearm and ammunition) and about 10 for a pellet gun (which also varies widely but it doesn’t really matter here) The tip of a whip is quickly slowed down compared a bullet though so it doesn’t do quite as much damage… a bullet has much more momentum.
