Again, great tutorial! I have the iPad Pro since 2019 and tried the workflow with my Macbook... but ever since I built a Windows PC, I stopped using it. Now I can finally get the best of both worlds 🥲 Thank you 🙏🏽 Also, I’d love a tutorial about sculpting on Blender to add to this one and learn the basics to at least caress the hope to get as close as possible to this beautiful Lion figure 🦁
My two favourite channel to learn sculpting in Blender has been Grant Abbitt, he's really good at running through the basics ua-cam.com/video/lKY2FIy60nc/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/KAwTqpjNhcQ/v-deo.html
The main issue I have been having with programs like this and DuetDisplay too is that for some reason the programs aren't recognizing Pencil input properly. Like I will be trying to draw lines in Photoshop and they are at really harsh angles and don't follow my strokes at all, or like in Clip Studio Paint where it follows my Pencil and even has pressure, but the cursor is offset by about an inch or so from where the actual point is. Can't quite figure out what's wrong with it.
There is a calibration step inside EasyCanvas to help with this. The other issue could be your wireless signal or usb cable. Make sure you have a good USB3.0 (blue end) or C data cable
i wanted this to work. i really did. but whenever i open any apps, it opens on my pc but not on my ipad. its like it’s using my ipad as if it were a second monitor. the mouse can leave my pc screen and appear on my ipad screen, kind of like two monitors can do, but i want my ipad to be the main screen. i dont know how to fix it and i lost my mind.
2 Questions about that: 1: does it also works on „older“ ipad pros? 2: Does the ipad charge while plugged into your pc? Because while working over 4 hours my ipad is empty of power 😅. Otherwise cool video and cute doggo ☺️👍🏻
So in this case what you do is to duplicate the screen base on the amount of screen space you select on the app, correct? Is there a way to extend the screen and use the Ipad as a second monitor? Somthing like what appnes when you connect a citniq to the PC?
I am teaching English remotely and want to screen share what I'm writing or drawing with students. I'm wondering how well this solution will work. What are your thoughts?
Will this work for an iPad and MacBook Air? I use Powerpoint for my presentations and would like to be able to use my iPad as a drawing pad to annotate as I present. I've run into many problems using the iPad only with Powerpoint. I appreciate your help!
Do you know of any options for remotely connecting and drawing? I know this app supports it, but they require an initial connection via USB to set it up. I have a friend who cannot learn blender due to lack of tools and no options to get one, but they have an iPad. I'm trying to set up my server PC as something they can connect to and utilize blender on to learn. This is the best option I found but it just doesn't fit the bill sadly.

Hi Jake, thanks for the demo, would like to hear how responsive this is compared to Duet, how much lag in comparison?, also have you tried using this with Zbrush ?
I only tried Duet with my Macbook, but they were pretty comparable. There's almost no input lag, but EasyCanvas seems to lose a bit of resolution occasionally. It seems to bias consistent input over visual quality if that makes sense

Not as much if you have a good cable. They seem to trade of latency for resolution, in the sense it gets lower resolution when your bandwidth is lower, but the latency always seems rock solid
