Wow! Thank you very much BBC for this compilation. I've just discovered the brinicle! Nature does unfold some amazing thrillers here! Happy Holidays to all
I love that the male Falcon was like... "I'ma just go man... No need for that wing clapping screaming nonsense that Maria was doing. I don't get her sometimes, sheesh"
What an incredible roundup of the best moments from 2024🤩 BBC Earth never fails to amaze with its storytelling and visuals. Thank you for such a fantastic compilation😍😍
Even the dogs that are attacking the sea lions just chilling? Vile, disgusting, things should not exist in the numbers they do - they even have collars on them.
Thank you BBC Earth, for creating such amazing series and sharing so many fascinating animal facts throughout 2024. Looking forward to more incredible content from you. Keep it up!!
Calling all animal lovers! Cody Roberts of Daniel, Wyoming has yet to be punished for his horrific abuse towards a wolf cub known as Thea. We must not allow him, nor any other torturer of animals get away with only a slap on the wrist. If any of you care, please fight that real justice be met! Keep this story alive, ask for better animal protection laws, continue to protest until he is given server jail time for his awful crimes. Don’t let Thea die in vain! Demand that her murderer is brought to justice. That’s what it means to be a Wildlife Warrior! #JusticeForWolves
Wonderful video however the elk and wolves clip is nearly identical to a clip from a few years back. If I were to watch them side by side I'd say they were the same exact video...
It's truly impressive to see the unique adaptations of animals, from the way robber crabs break into coconuts to the sophisticated hunting strategies of wolves and catfish. The video vividly captures the diversity and ingenuity of the natural world.
@ hey there, I know, I just like to know where that shot was filmed, because I see great photos over there that I want to take, so if you know anything more about the spot, do let me know, I’d appreciate it ;))
@@jeltsephotography It is Chile´s coasts, it is difficult to tell you where exactly it is, they live along all the coast of the country, however, it has orange barriers, it does have a train and it looks pretty urban, so I dare to say its Valparaiso, Muelle el Quisco to be precise, if you want to take photos, its a pretty good spot, Valparaiso is beutiful, it is just around the corner of Viña del Mar that is beutiful too (but more akin to a urban city that a fishing city like Valparaiso), and its pretty close to Santiago, the capital, so you can arrive and go directly there. Hope this helps.
@@jeltsephotography I rectify, if ist Muelle el Quisco, its part of San Antonio's province instead of Valparaiso's province, however both are part of Valparaiso´s Region so they are still pretty close
THANK YOU BBC! (Too bad, on that last scene with the brinecicles killing all the seafloor creatures, they didn't show the process later - when the ice breaks free and floats back to the ocean surface carrying the dead with it, which then distributes the various creatures back into the water column as food for fish!) Nature is utterly brilliant! 💝
7:50 I felt very sorry when the pigeon was eaten by the fish. His friends could do nothing to help him. This is a bird that is close to humans, I often feed them.
The BBC usually makes excellent wildlife films so it is surprising that baboons are described as 'secretive'. There have been several in-depth and prolonged studies of baboons, including those by the Gombe Stream Research Center, the Amboseli Baboon research Project and the Tsaobis Baboon Project to name but three. We know a lot about Baboons!
David Attenborough's narration style is truly unmatched, nobody does it like him. I have a deep admiration for the films he narrates above all others 🥰
Saving wildlife during harsh winters involves providing them with resources and creating environments that help them survive cold temperatures, limited food supplies, and difficult conditions. Here are practical steps to protect wildlife during the winter months: 1. Provide Food Sources Wild animals struggle to find enough food during winter. Bird Feeders: Set up feeders with seeds, suet, and nuts for birds. Black-oil sunflower seeds are especially nutritious. Leave Fruit and Vegetables: Scatter fruits like apples and vegetables like carrots for animals such as deer or squirrels. Don’t Overfeed: Ensure food is offered in moderation to avoid over-dependence or interference with their natural habits. 2. Create Shelter Shelters protect animals from cold winds and snow. Birdhouses and Nesting Boxes: Install birdhouses with insulation to keep birds warm. Brush Piles: Create piles of leaves, twigs, and branches to provide hiding and resting spots for small mammals like rabbits and hedgehogs. Unfrozen Water: Keep water sources available by placing heated water bowls or breaking ice on ponds regularly. 3. Avoid Disturbing Hibernating Animals Many species hibernate in winter, such as bats, bears, and reptiles. Disturbing their hibernation can waste their energy reserves, endangering their survival. Know where local wildlife dens or burrows are and avoid disturbing them. 4. Plant Winter-Friendly Vegetation Plant evergreen shrubs, berry bushes (like holly or winterberry), or trees that can provide food and shelter for wildlife during the cold season. Leave native plants and grasses uncut to give small animals hiding spots. 5. Avoid Using Chemicals De-icing salts and antifreeze can be toxic to wildlife. Opt for pet-safe or wildlife-safe alternatives. Refrain from using harmful pesticides, which can contaminate food sources. 6. Be Mindful of Water Sources Wildlife needs water, but ponds, lakes, and streams can freeze. Break the ice daily to allow animals to drink. Heated water bowls are another excellent option to prevent dehydration. 7. Support Local Wildlife Organizations Volunteer or donate to wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centers that help injured or struggling animals during winter. 8. Drive Carefully in Snowy Areas Many animals, such as deer or foxes, wander onto roads during winter in search of food or shelter. Drive slowly and remain vigilant in areas near forests or open fields. 9. Keep Pets Indoors Domestic pets, especially cats, can harm or stress local wildlife trying to survive the winter. Ensure pets stay indoors as much as possible during harsh conditions. 10. Report Injured or Stranded Wildlife If you see an animal that appears sick, injured, or unable to cope with the cold, contact a local wildlife rehabilitation center for guidance. Small actions can make a significant difference in helping wildlife during winter. By providing food, shelter, and safe conditions, we can ensure that animals survive and thrive even in the harshest weather. You said:
David Attenborough is a national treasure. We are lucky to have him and even more lucky that we live in a beautiful and extraordinary planet like Earth. If only we could care for it as it cares for us.
Amazing compilation of animal moments! 🌟 From courageous fledglings attempting their maiden flight to huge robber crabs confronting coconuts, every sight is amazing. Antarctica's underwater ice structure, known as the 'finger of death', is very amazing! 🥶 Which scene impressed you the most?
we have few pigeons in eastern virginia cities--Peregrines. you'll witness a flock of pigeons take flight, then a sudden explosion of feathers in their midst, a falcon appears, slowly departing the scene of the crime. falcons stoop at such incredible speed you don't see them attack.
The last video about life in the Antarctica Ocean below the thick ice makes me sure that similar life exists on other moons with oceans under thick ice in our solar system, and in extra-solar star systems as well. "Intelligent" life like space-faring humans might be rare, but "primitive" life like these must be common across the universe.
Thank you BBC. The best wildlife programs.
wow the last one is incredible shot.
32:17 I'm pretty sure the seal says "YAYY! HOOO!"😂😂
Thanks for this 😂😂😂😂

Every moment is a masterpiece! BBC Earth truly captures the wonders of our planet.
It's so beautiful so awesome,,,wonderful world
Really
Nobody narrates as good as David Attenborough, nobody. I love the films that he narrates best. 💯
"As well as" not "as good as'.' See? You also don't write perfect grammar....but we tolerate you

so true, something about his narration makes it so much more immersive. just dont get the same feeling when someone else does.

This is BBC at their best! Just forget about the news, politics and biased reporting!

It would have easily fit into any Lord of the rings or Harry Potter movie!

Well it's a lie that this is the best round-up of 2024 wildlife, as some of this footage, like the snow leopard hunt, was filmed years ago
seriously, not even close to 2024. we saw that ish on planet earth like 10 years ago. i doubt any of this is from 2024

Just when you think you've seen it all, a fish hunts and eats pigeons 😮
the beaver clip is definitely not from 2024
Feels like 2024 to me
Neither is the elk and wolves...good video, maybe not the best title
Catfish isn't from 2024. Nice try tho
Same with #1, icy finger. This is just an amazing list of bbc animal videos. No set year
Some people are just porn experts
What is the 8th documentary? One with David

The last one, fingers of death, was so scary
In the wrong time for those gigantic hermits, as ammonites were gone millions years ago!
Occasionally, you find a beautifull documentary between all those commercials….😡
❤
agree 100% but this man is not bad
The finger of death with a visual effect looks like a dark art in Harry Potter.
They should cut down on the dramatic music.
Nature is both beautiful and cruel

Is there any clip from 2024..?
Coconut 🥥 eating crabs.. Wow
Winter is coming
The added sounds are a bit ridiculous. Why do we hear a door creaking while the crab is opening the coconut?
