A funny thing about these episodes in Winterfell is a conversation between him and Sophie Turner. She said he was looking at her in such an intense way, she got literal chills. He said he was looking at her like that because he literally couldn't see her without his glasses 😂😂 but gotta be honest. Dude looks as creepy as 3 eyed raven is supposed to look 🤣

Dany executing Sam's family inadvertently leads us to that intense Samwell Jon exchange at the Crypts of Winterfell. Don't think that conversation would've went that way otherwise. It's a really well acted scene. Both of them do a great job, especially John Bradley. His quivering lip during the Dany scene was superb. Everything Sam tells Jon about the difference between him and Dany has merit. "You gave up your crown to save your people. Would she do the same". At no point in the series did it ever feel like Dany would compromise on her claim. Not in Yunkai, not in Meereen, not in Westeros. This is a key question on the ethics of ruling between Dany and Jon, the two sides of the Targaryen coin. The conflict is very much there and it's set up well by that very tense exchange. But no one can build on something as substantive as that in just 6 episodes without hamfisting it. Let alone trying to do it while having to squeeze in two endgames from two totally different storylines.
"Both of them do a great job, especially John Bradley." Agreed. I like to watch Ser Jorah in that scene, too. Jorah obviously has a lot of thoughts about what's happening, and he can't really express any of them, but you can read it in his face. Iain Glen kills it, as usual.
Dany was willing to stay in Essos for as long as it took to solve the slavery issue. Wasn't she continually bribed with ships that could take her to Westeros by the wise masters? I don't think Sam knows Dany well enough to make those claims.
@@weirwood The thing about Dany staying in Meereen to solve the slave trade is that Danaerys never implements a system to replace it in the show, or the books, so as soon as she leaves everything she's done is doomed to failed. It's also weird, because Slaver's Bay gets their slaves from Volantis, where, even in the show is noted to have an insane slave population of 4 out of 5 people being a slave. tl;dr Dany didn't remove slavery from essos because volantis still exists and she never put a new system in place. also, she only delayed her invasion for the throne, she never gives it up entirely, which is what jon does.
@@lnwyardee3809 I don't know how to argue your point about slavery in essos because it seems I don't know if it's because the show runners ignored volantis and wanted to get Dany to Westeros as soon as possible or if Dany didn't care anymore. About Jon, what is he giving up? Jon was negotiating from a point of weakness. He didn't have anything to offer Daenerys so he offered his crown. I feel if Jon was on equal footing with Dany and he gave up his crown, that would prove he cared more for his people than the throne. Praising Jon in this situation is like saying a poor person is more humble and good than Elon Musk, we won't really know that unless he gets as rich as Musk and makes different decisions.

That’s the same crossbow that was Joffrey’s and the same one that Tyrion used to kill Tywin. Cersei wants Bronn to kill them with that crossbow. That was the “poetic justice” reference she meant.
I’m sure this is in the comments already but in season 1 when Jon was riding to the wall and Ned to Kings Landing, Jon asked Ned if he would tell him about his mother. Ned promised that the next time they were together he would tell him all about her. Jon was in the crypt near Ned and Lyanna’s statues when Sam told him the truth. 😔
i love the way this episode ends; the irony of it is that if it weren't for jaime, brandon would have never been put on the path he was set on to become the three-eyed raven.
I love how this season began, from the first scene. If you recall, the first scene at Winterfell involved Arya running to catch a glimpse of King Robert and his entourage approaching. Now we see a little boy doing the same thing while Arya, so much older than back then, looks on. Full circle. Also - this now puts a lot of what Ned said in perspective. It makes it that much more tragic when Ned told Jon upon their parting "I'll tell you about your mother" when they saw each other again. It also explains why Ned became so confrontational when Robert was determined to kill Daenerys, because he had a Targaryen under his own roof for so many years. Finally, it's part of the reason that he accepted death at the end of Season One, to preserve Jon's secret.
Only Targaryens can RIDE dragons. Also, Jon is riding the one named after his father. This gem and many others can be found by watching Game of Thrones: Inside the Episode. There is one for each episode. They can be found on HBO max or UA-cam. The creators (D.B. Weiss and David Benioff) of the show discuss each episode. Inside the Episode is the only thing that helped me understand what was going on in each episode back in 2011 when not many people watched back then.
Arya said “don’t forget that” to Jon referring to Dany and Sansa beefing and it looking like Jon will suck up to or side with Dany. But it’s also kind of foreshadowing the Targaryen reveal coming soon as well.
The music at the beginning and the whole first scene with Jon and Dany riding up is a callback of the first episode, a little boy (who was once Arya) trying to get the best view of the royal procession (King Robert and Queen Cersei arriving at Winterfell)
I know the feeling man. It was bittersweet to watch season 8 knowing one of the greatest shows of all time was coming to an end. But all good things must come to an end. Enjoy the rest of the journey.
Sansa learned from good people... Ned, Cat, Jon, Tyrion, Royce,Brienne; And she learned from some Bad people who just happen to be the BEST players in the game : Cersei, QOT, Baelish.. she learn what not to do. Somehow she's able to balance those lessons.
@@autumncolors7015 Nah...she used the Littlefinger method on both, Ramsay's own dogs killed him, she just made sure he knew he's done. Ramsay gets his hands dirty...Sansa doesn't.As I say Sansa will be the north's version of the QOT.
Jon: (to Sam)"What are you doing in Winterfell..or did you read every book in the Citadel already? Major: (chuckles) no, no, he just stole 'em"...love these cute moments. I'm gonna miss being on this journey with you. It's so bittersweet 😪 😞 🥰
I'm with Sansa on this. Danarys brought 100000 Dothraki screamers, 10000 unsullied and two dragons. How does she, as Lady of Winterfell feed these people. All Danarys had to answer was that they had brought their own provisions. ... If they had. Otherwise? Everyone will starve. Period.
While i do have my complaints with the final season, i never understood how some couldn't comprehend the notion of time skip, if you see a character in the desert then 5 minutes later he's in the snow, it didn't mean he traveled all that distance in 5m ffs, just nothing interesting happened to show. Or how they say in the first episode it took the king 1 month to reach Winterfell from KL but now Jamie reaches it in a few days. Well, yea, have you seen the kings escort back in s1? not to mention the royal carriage , even pulled by horses, how fast do you think it could have traveled with some rudimentary wheels on shitty bumpy roads? Could you imagine Cersei and her kids bumping their heads all over or shit? Of course not. Not to mention they have also made stops on the way, probably once a week to recover so thats 4 to 8 days lost already, if they decided to stop for 2 days. Of course Jamie galloping all the way would have reached WF in a short amount of time. Or how Daenerys reached John only in a night, dafq, how do you know how fast could a dragon fly lmao? I bet that with Drogon, it would have took 1 maybe 2h. The raven reached Daenerys in 4-5h maybe. Gendry DID run pretty fast though..
Just to answer your question Major Reacts. yes Gendry does have a claim if he was legitimate Baratheon making him a rival to both Dany and Jon. But because he's a bastard he's not in the line of succession as Bastards can not inherit the throne unless legitimised which can only be done by a monarch (King or in this case either Queen) as seen in Season 4 when Ramsay went from a snow to a Bolton or when Stannis offered to make Jon a Stark (of cause that's when he was beleived to Ned's son).
Major Thank you so much for allowing us to relive this beautiful series again through fresh eyes. Thank you for allowing us to share your tears, fears and joys.
You have to look at the differences between Tyrion's past situation and his present one. He knew how to handle people in his part of the world; how they think, their logic, methods, desires and motivations are familiar to him. He knew what they wanted, and that made him a skilled negotiator. But he's been on unfamiliar ground for a while now, with unfamiliar people that he can't read as well. He can't anticipate their desires as well, so his footing is nowhere near as sure. He keeps making decisions according to his old habits, and it isn't serving him anywhere near as well as it once did. You also have to consider that he's been through some things that left their mark. His faith in himself has been shaken to the core--that has to change a person.
He's also conflicted and his judgement is clouded. He knows that his team winning equals the demise of his sister and brother and more than likely a heavy toll on the people of Kings Landing.
@@Ripthejack3r *eyeroll* I was just getting ready to say that I love how this comment section seems to be absent the typical complainers but of course not completely absent I see
The guy shot with the arrow thru the eye when Theon saves Yara is Rob McElhenney from Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Good show to react to if you like that kind of comedy.
You are right. This show is the greatest thing ever made. It’s the culmination of everything we learned making movies and TV shows the last hundred years in one great work of art.
Welcome to season 8, the final season. I love how Sansa already saw right thru Danaerys, and she has every right to. And I knew what Danaerys did to the Tarlys was gonna come back and bite her in the butt. You came into Westeros and immediately started executing ppl knowing damn well they didn't know you, neither did they have ANY obligation to acknowledge you as queen. Now only Jon has to tell her truth about his true parental heritage, and that he's the true heir to the throne. I also find it funny how the last time both Bran and Jamie saw each other was in episode 1- the very first season, and thought he was dead all these years. And now its episode 1 of the final season😂😂
I hated dany’s “whatever they want” because that kind of ego shit is not real queen behavior. Sansa had a logical question and Dany have the shittiest answer when she was already told the north doesn’t trust strangers. Dany’s ego isn’t for me
I agree. Dany should have humbled herself a little since she's in someone else's house. She may have a claim to the throne, but her claim comes from a father who murdered two Starks unjustly. The North Remembers.
I've heard that the symbols that the night king uses was believed to be originally the children of the forest's symbol and the night king started to use it for himself to mock the children of the forest. Especially since the children of the forest created the night king and his curse.
Dany and Jon failed to supply their army with food, Dany burned the food train down south. Sansa prepared everything for the north, even making sure there is room for Jon's and Dany's army, but food and incidentals that's on Jon and Dany especially her dragons.
@@andyfern8923 No she didn't, she out numbered Jaime 2 or 3 to 1 and she had a dragon... tell 20 Dothracki's circle the food and take it out of harms way... she didn't have to burn it, and it would have made a good inducement to the people starving due to Cersei's antics.
Even in dead Ned is true to his word. Remember the last time he and Jon spoke? Ned said back then: „the next time we meet, we‘ll talk about your mother“. Now Jon is in front of Ned´s Grave learning about his true heritage.
In the words of King Robert Baratheon season 1, episode 1 to Ned Stark.. ‘I have a son, you have a daughter.. We’ll join our houses..’ NOW we know that wasn’t Joffrey & Sansa..
Tyrion is still smart, he’s just out of his field. He was good at the underhanded backstabby “game” aspect of the game of thrones, but he’s not good at war or strategy. As for Cercei, he has always carried a lot of guilt about killing his father and cutting his family down from the most powerful family in Westeros, so subconsciously he’s wanting to believe anything that looks like a truce between them. He believes Cercei because he WANTS to believe Cercei. Because if she’s telling the truth about wanting to help with the bigger threat then it means they’re on the same side again, even if it’s just for a minute. It feels almost like forgiveness. But it’s true, this mental struggle he’s going through HAS NOT been helping Daenerys…
Yup and he lost the life of one of her dragons too.. But Daenrys doesn't seem too swayed about what happen, she's hurt yes however it hasn't crippled her resolve for the throne: and She seems little shocked that Bran knew about the KnightKing claiming the other dragon as one of his own, while taking down the WallOfIce that's been up there for Decades ..
Man I binged your Thrones journey. It’s pretty cool watching you see all of this stuff for the first time. Keep up the god work and congrats on your son Champ!
You'll notice the opening scene of the little boy trying to get a good view of the armies entering Winterfell is a throw back to the first episode when Robert Baratheon rode into Winterfell with the Lannisters. The boy is mimicking what Bran was doing in the first episode.
Cool little tidbit; In season one Robert and Ned tried to marry their kids, but it wasn't Robert's real son and it obviously went terribly. This many years later, they might finally be getting the decent match they wanted through Gendry and Arya.
The sigil you speak of is when the Night King was turned by the Children of the Forrest. He was tied against a Wier wood tree that had stones in that pattern around it. You see this pattern a few places. Once beyond the wall when Mance and John were heading to the wall. Once in the cave at Dragonstone and here again. It also looks similar to the Targaryen Sigil, but I'm not sure if that has any correlation to each other .
You been on this ride for a year.. its sad to let it go when it ends. Imagine the sadness of spending 12 years on this show.. depression... When it was over it was like a death. I felt it for months missing it, even now still feels that way. Even tho some didn't like the last episode, this show is epic and will forever be the best show in TV history.. What no one seems to ever think about is the fact that maybe Cersi just got better at The Game Thrones then Tyrion after losing all her children & her Father she literally had nothing left to lose and like Cersi does say numerous times over the years that 'You think i sat there and listened to father all those years and learned nothing' and Tywin was great at what he did

You gotta read the books. Euron was a real life monster in the books. I just thought about it when he said he had a crew full.of mutes. I think in the books they said he cut his crees tongues out, and he kept the decks of his ships covered in blood. They turned him all the way down from the books, we probably couldn't have handled the book Euron😭😭

10 minutes in and I’m already loving the way u can put everything together. Respect dude. I’ve watched this show so many times.
Arya wants Gendry to make her a dragonglass spear/bo staff. It detaches in the middle for close-quarters fighting and dual wield.
And Ramsey taught her how to take revenge and kill.
Period.
27:15 Is the scene where Kit got the family jewels caught in the mechanical dragon.....OUCH!
Love the positive attitude and love that you have your own journey and not occupied with what others have said
YES, Tyrion DID touch the dragons. He was stroking one for a couple secs.
Tyrion touched a dragon, but riding one?!? That's a whole other level...🤘🤪
bro i swear, your reactions take me back to my first viewing of this! keep it up bro!
Literally cracked up laughing when you said "Damn Jamie, you look old as hell" 😂😂😂 he sure has been thru some shit! 😆 Lol
@@leonrobinson2475 Good call!
@@andrewmize823 Everything you said was right on point as well! Cheers
I think you put much more thought into it than the writers
@@Ripthejack3r *eyeroll* I was just getting ready to say that I love how this comment section seems to be absent the typical complainers but of course not completely absent I see
Also² I'll never not laugh about how disappointed Cersei was by the absence of elephants with the Golden Company lmao
I was told there were elephants.
@@kimberlycunningham3740 lmao Shame.
Don't you remember Arya was excited to see king Robert come to Winterfell? Her wearing a helmet
We are here!!!!! YESSSSSS
I had the complete opposite reaction. I found Dany rude in her response to Sansa.
The cinematic experience this season is awesome.
When I first watched this episode, I missed the Umber boy opening his eyes. I almost shit myself when he started screaming.
Arya watching them ride into Winterfell is reminiscent of her watching Robert Baratheon march in with Cersei in S1.
She kinda had to burn it though or it'd get to KL, which would mean Cersei would have the bag she needed earlier than what she did
@@andyfern8923 No she didn't, she out numbered Jaime 2 or 3 to 1 and she had a dragon... tell 20 Dothracki's circle the food and take it out of harms way... she didn't have to burn it, and it would have made a good inducement to the people starving due to Cersei's antics.
@@pjfsr7024 how long would it take and how many men would she lose to do that, because?
@@andyfern8923 Not long, and less than 100.
and she's got 80K unsullies, over 100k Dothrackis and Drogon!
The end of this episode connecting the 2 who started the entire stark Lannister conflict back at episode 1 of it all crazy
Bro I died of laughter when you said "who the hell is rolling brann around" LMFAO
I’m so excited to see your reactions!
Even in dead Ned is true to his word. Remember the last time he and Jon spoke? Ned said back then: „the next time we meet, we‘ll talk about your mother“. Now Jon is in front of Ned´s Grave learning about his true heritage.
Aww shit! We're already on to the GOAT season???! Fuck what anyone says I'm here for the shenanigans 😂
"shots fired!!... bang....bang!!" 🤣🤣🤣 your reactions are so good lol
The end is near and it sucks lol. Glad you discovered this great show and love it like most of us do. Been a great ride. Have a good one man👊👊
Thank you for allowing us to join you on your journey. It's been amazing
Thank you for the support Boston and thank you for coming along this journey with me
In the words of King Robert Baratheon season 1, episode 1 to Ned Stark..
‘I have a son, you have a daughter.. We’ll join our houses..’
NOW we know that wasn’t Joffrey & Sansa..
Tyrion, when Sansa asks "What if I'm never ready?" on their wedding night
"And so my watch begins" He hasn't been shown with another woman since
You're in for an ABSOLUTELY insane trip my guy! Let's get into it Fam.. 💪🏻
LOL I knew you didn't like rollercoasters as soon as you seen that dip and dive.
Major with that husky af 'hell yeah' when Jon and Dany were kissing had me crying.
Thank you for taking us this far Major! It has been quite the ride. Looking forward to finishing this journey with you.
Oh yuuhhhhhhh major Big W🔥🔥hope the fam doing good as always n hope yall have a good weekend❤
Thank you for taking us along it's been great.
Bran to Sam..."I'm waiting for an old friend". Now you know who he was out there for...
I found this channel because I was binge watching GOT reactions and I'm glad I stayed. Sad but excited to watch you at the end 😊
We thank YOU for sharing the journey with us!!!
Yup, Jon rides the dragon named after his father
38:53 THANK YOU! I asked myself this question when I first watched this. Like WHO is leaving this man all over Winterfell in the most random spots?😂
WE watch reactions to get our fix.... so excited for HOTD..
Easter egg : If you remember when Ned tells Jon he'll tell him about his mother the next time we see each other -- Jon learns the truth in front of Ned's crypt
Edd getting called Ralph !!! ahaha Loved it. Your videos are amazing! Glad you liked the first episode. Can't wait for Ep2, this episode is great. Even people who don't like the last season love this episode.
Hey Major 💜 can’t wait to see your reaction to the final season.
I really appreciate your effort in these reactions. You've been really consistent in watching which is nice for us. Thank you.
Omg it’s almost over! Thanks for the rewatch of one of the best shows ever produced.
What no one seems to ever think about is the fact that maybe Cersi just got better at The Game Thrones then Tyrion after losing all her children & her Father she literally had nothing left to lose and like Cersi does say numerous times over the years that 'You think i sat there and listened to father all those years and learned nothing' and Tywin was great at what he did
It’s just so good. I know you’re gonna ended up like most of us rewatching the entire series multiple times over. The greatest TV series I’ve ever seen. Much love to you Major. Can’t wait to finish Harry Potter with you also!
Major "but, I'm banging my aunt". I about fell out 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'm sure that wasn't going through his head Major 😂
Finally! I'm re-watching with you before the HOTD! 😂😂😂😂
"Who the fuck is rolling Bran to random places and leaving him there?" lmfao
Has anyone else noticed how Jamie’s hair color becomes less and less blonde as he pulls away from Cercei 👱🏻♂️➡️🧔🏻♂️
2:28 the same music was playing when king robert arrived to winterfell in episode 1
Major,
My main man. Can you remember your state of mind after the Red Wedding? Can you remember your state of mind after Jon died??
Now (present-day), can you share with us what your state of mind would be had you indeed stopped watching GOT back then? Look at all you would have missed out on. Crazy ain't it? Yes, it's true. Hindsight is indeed 20/20!! After this season you might want to be searching for a close friend who hasn't seen GOT and introduce him/her to it. Just so you can watch them react as we have so enjoyed watching you react to it. Great job sticking with it Major! Kudos and thank you!
It just gets better from here!
Bro I’m sticking by you through the end of this season. Always dropping that heat fam 🔥
I love your excitement! This has been a long journey! You're even looking like you've lost weight. Lookin' Good!!
Ayeee girl @Keedeeg don't say that to me I been trying you got me feeling good now 😊
Major watching this series again with you has been great. I just wish this wasn't the last season. I can wait to see what you think of season 8. Winter is here.
Disney's Animal Kingdom has an Avatar attraction called Flight of Passage. It is 3-D experience riding a Banshee/ dragon type animal. Holy cow, it was AMAZING. You literally feel like you're trying to control a massive flying animal. Guests cheered when it was done.
