    I got to see the car in person yesterday. It's so cool to see something you've seen on UA-cam for the last few years in person. I work at the next door neighbor shop to Execuitive Wraps. When the owner told me it was coming in for a detail I just about flipped. Your work is amazing brother. So cool to see it up close.

      @coachster sometimes they don't heal, persay. I'm a couple years younger than Brent and have a degenerative disc disease that will never be fixed... so, it has to be maintained with procedures and injections to reduce the pain. which allows you to have some sort of sanity thru the pain and avoid getting drugged up by the bad docs our there. 👊 take care of yourself Brent. Lost my 30s, but Ablation and epidural steroids have given me a new life 😊

    • @coachster
      @coachster 4 місяці тому

      @@smithjohn3080 oh I definitely know. I’m a few years older than brent and I’ve had my share of back injuries from sports and work. My problem is I have a high tolerance for pain so when I feel it to where it starts to bother me, it’s actually really bad and usually takes me out for weeks. Have also gone through stages where doctors would prescribe pain meds but that started to become problematic when I’d take them like candy. For the past several years I’ve actually limited myself to only taking ibuprofen and methocarbamol the odd time just to take the edge off.

    Is there a benchmark , back pressure needed on. Turbo four-cylinder engines ? Brent let us know, some seem to think it is hard on turbine shaft bearings, I don’t believe that, I think a little back pressure in the exhaust side helps, thanks BigAl California.

    • @PFIBrent
      @PFIBrent  4 місяці тому +2

      The optimum is one pound of drive pressure for one pound of boost. Less back pressure will make more power because the engine doesn’t have to push anything out of the way making it available to have more clean air in the hole 🤩

Ran into fuel system limits and backed it down to around 820! Has a poor man’s home built th400 with a lockup. Hopefully to get more seat time this year. It’s a 1/8 setup. I know the feeling all too well when everything is going amazingly well, then there's a catastrophic issue. That's a crazy engine to learn too. Thankfully Nissans engineering is somewhat decent and the problems were able to be diagnosed. Such an insane project to take on, but persistence pays off in the end!! 🥳

    somebody forgot to tell this dude that a good racecar is easy and quick to work on. seems like this gtr is a pain in the ass to work on. gotta pull the motor to do anything... a k series could make similar power and be far more simplistic and easy to work on.
