Depends how well you can repackage it, bulk is unavoidable but it is relative to how tightly it’s packed. Definitely must vacuum the air out and get a good roll to reduce bulk.
Depends how many people you plan to travel with, we are a family of 5 with gear. Bear in mind that space between the tubes is much more narrow and shorter than the exterior dimensions.
@@outdooroddsandsods, so it does! It is still a very roomy boat; and those huge tubes make it mighty stable and reliable. Enjoy your future adventures!
Yes carpet over the inflatable floor for protection. Mine doesn’t have any extra protection over the top of the tubes, just the flap for the rope to attach to.
Yeah thats why we got an aluminum.. after doing this ritual for 2 years, my friend gave our fam a tide in his aluminum and my wife asked me why i was torturing our family for the past 2 years.. next day we had an aluminum hull.. launching and recovering takes less then 5min.. vs about 30min..and yeah impeler will die if u keep starting yr outboard out of water..
I think this boat looks terrific
Wow! Amazing Video!
Appreciate the video thanks, debating buying one for a solo moose hunt on the Yukon river in Alaska
Would recommend the more rugged Wilderness XL versions for hard use.
@@outdooroddsandsods thanks for the suggestion I will look them up
vinyl hall runner to protect air floor
Nice setup! What wheels are you using btw? Are you detaching them completely and storing in the boat while on the water?
Thanks! They are just generic launching wheels that I flip up once in the water, removing and replacing the pins can be a pain in cold water!
With the wheels moving it around what’s the weight? Looks awesome
Manageable for one person for sure.
Think this would fit in a big sedan like toyota avalon?

I am considering a 12' KaBoat. Why did you go for something that big? Do you do long, multi-day trips? Packing a whole lot of gear?

Is the carpet over the inflatable floor? I see this one has the rubber or vinyl over the tube tops. Is that a certain model?

What model of air pump are you using. I own the Saturn SK385XL and I am looking to get another electric pump.
Bravo BST800
What do you get for top speed?
Depends on weight, I’ve upgraded to a 15hp outboard and can get on step and reach 20kph with approx. 500lbs on board.
