Thank you for the review there is not much out there on this foils.... I bought the 999 V2 and compared to my 910png it requires significantly more speed to create lift... I´m 92kg.....I started with a skinny rear 362 and it was very hard for me to start and control this setup at all.... I changed to the 375 progressive and +1 degree shim and it looks like it is now much better for me to control on the pitch. I have to be quite precise while pumping to keep the angle of the foil horizontal not to stall. So for me it is still a challenge, but it might be me ;) For beginner a PNG would be the better choice I guess.. Looking forward for more reviews and thanks for the combination advices !!!
Yes I should have explained the beginner part just a bit more. It's a hard one, as user capabilities can be miles apart. Not to mention boards and even wings can have huge effect in foil efficiency. The beginner I was aiming at, is the 85kilo person or less, that picks foiling up really quick and has the right gear. (and good that you got the 375, much better choice for you) I always recommend to get touch frst, to find the perfect foil.
Hi. Great review,thx. I am thinking to replace my 899. Not sure, but I think the 899 compares to the art v2 879? I am torn between 879, fb 1000 or 880. Advanced rider close to your level , 73kg, conditions like north see but less wind. Boards 75 ML, 4.8 60l and 4.11 40l. Current Foils, arange art v1, art pro and sf's. Also interested how the new blast performs. Thx for the advice.
Thanks. You probably liked the speed of the 899. The 879 is probably closer to this one then the 939. The Fireball 1000 will get you going earlier then the 879. But if you like to go fast, the 879 wins. But less wind where you are at. In such case An Fireball might be the better option for you. But depends ofcourse how fast you got on foil with the 899. If that one worked, you will get on foil with the 879 aswell. Haven't tested the Fireball enough for manouvrability and sorts. Does glide better!
Hi there, great reviews as always. I have a question on the 939 vs 99 sizing, I am an intermediate winger 85kg, so a bit heavier that you, my go to foil is the SF960 for 12-17 knots in small waves and chop (now I have improved I wish I had the 900 the 960 is a touch big), I have the SF780 too and that is my big wave and higher wind foil. I am wanting an Art V2 that fits in between those. Im thinking the 939 will be the right size, but Im not sure. Would you think the 939 fits between the SF 960 and SF780 or is that more the 999? I will try and demo but am keen on your thoughts. Cheers
Thanks Perry. Well the Art v2 939 and Spitfire 780 have a similair surface area as you probably know. But the 939 will get you going earlier/easier. So I think you should try that one. If you would not have a Spitfire 960 though, the 999 would be a nice addition. Great for the lightwind days.
how would you compare the Fireball to the v2 as well as to the Spitfire ? Currently have the SF960 & SF780 (from your shop btw ;) and looking to upgrade for next season. Also considering the PNG1300v2 for dockstarts and downwind SUP. Me: 75kg (wet in wetsuit) on a 70ltr board
Haven't got enough sessions on the Fireball to do a proper comparison. Think the 1000 had about the same lift as Spitfire 840 and maybe an Art v2 939. But more glide. Both Spitfire and ART v2 have easier pitch control. What are you after?
❤❤good review..really want to know the difference between art v2 999.and art pro 1051, take off ability, speed,glide,needded wind ets. I have art pro 1051 .i want more bigger wing because when wind is small. I think art pro 1201,or 1401 or artv2 999 (?)..i am 65kg, the wind is 10 to 15 knot, i like small wave riding thanks ❤😂
Thank you! It's been a while I used the Art Pro 1051. Did use the Art Pro 1121 for light wind winging a bit this summer. The 1121 gets on foil much quicker then the Art v2 999. What also helps in the light wind conditions is a longer board. With your weight I wouldn't recommend going up to the 1401.
@@candych0754 Personally I prefer the Spitfire range as they turn better. Even the Spitfire 1180 is great fun! But for ultimate glide and more speed, the Art Pro's work better.

@WingsurferNL thanks so much
