@@The_zenithgod I made this whole video talking about bad reffing on both sides of the ball and how it's not rigged but just bad officiating. All you had to do was watch it lol.
Also if you think this is the only type of content I make, it's because it's all you watch, go look through my videos, 95% of what I make is just talking about stuff I like.
The only thing the NFL will fix is that the announcers won't be able to talk about the refereeing anymore. It's happened before.
Or replace the announcers with the Radio people on Sirus XM and Xfinity being Broadcast but never shown on TV so you never know who they are so they can miss as much as want being these announcers, they are forced into not saying that is a bad call by the TV deals they are forced to sign to be totally anonyms so they can replace people or use machines to change the voice so all sound the exact same and can be replaced if they speak about this online anywhere. Just so that the NFL can let bad refs or untrained referees stay in the sport.
The NFL is like a country club. They decide the rules and how they will be enforced. The board of directors decided that a third Chiefs Super Bowl with Taylor Swift in attendance would be more profitable than letting mere millionaire players decide the outcome.
@@samiam4544 It's all about MONEY and GAMBLING. It's sickening. I can pretty much say that for ALL sports.
Yep
During the 2012 NFL Referee strike.
were in the age where people watching at home can make a better call than referees that are feet away from the play in real life
People at home have an elevated camera angle and slow-motion replay. Field officials don't have that.
@ that’s a good point. I guess it can depend on the scenario. Like when it’s right in the refs face for a goal line play or something it’s pretty sad when it’s clear it either went in or didn’t from seeing it on TV
@ When I started working football, I thought it would be easy. After all, I'd seen dozens of high school games from the sideline, and hundreds of college games from the stands or on TV.
It was....NOT....as easy as it looked, once we were on field level. I quit after a couple seasons at the NCAA D2 level, and now work different sports.
@@teebob21 They do have instant replay on the field and the same camera angles we have. They use it when a call is challenged. The problem is that calls are no being made, even after a challenge.
@ Do you want every play in the game to be re-officiated on replay? The current standard for overturning a call via video is "indisputable video evidence." It must be clear and convincing. Anything short of that requires that the call stands.
Of course, I'm sure you already know this. How many years have you been officiating and at what level?
Ban gambling and flopping in the NFL.
The NFL makes billions of dollars a year on gambling. Gambling is the entire point of the league now. It’s not getting banned, it’s getting promoted.
@@mph7282 That's why I don't watch anymore. The game sold its integrity. Is it rigged? Doesn't matter now. I can't trust the results if there's anything unfair about how the game played out.
@ that’s certainly a reasonable response.
Gambling is a crucial revenue for the NFL to justify their ballooning broadcasting contract. It’s not going away anytime soon.

Remember the 2002 Kings Lakers series? NFL has that in spades. Also to the video creators point: in case of Commanders Eagles, calls didn't even matter tbh since score wasn't decided by em.
That Worthy play would have been incomplete due to inconclusive evidence imo. Only way to avoid any ire. NFL has 3rd options for exactly this but never uses em for various reasons.

The reason why it feels "rigged", inconsistent calls, Rules that favor offense and calls that often decide outcomes.
The NFL is becoming unwatchable for me.
They're not letting the players play.
Letting the players play? Which rules should we ignore from play to play, in order to "let the players play"?
Some offenses get more help than others... that's the bigger problem.
rules that favor the offense isn't necessarily rigged to me if both teams benefit from it. I agree with the inconsistent calls tho
lmao when they do ppl are like why didnt you call that for pi or holding lol cant win
Nfl has been unwacthable for nearly a decade now
That’s why refs calling ticky tack calls always rubs me the wrong way. Especially late in important games. You’re going to call that, but not some egregious penalties earlier in the game? No consistency at all.
the game would be better with less ref intervention. Often times if we hear them, its not any good
I think they should do all the actual reffing centrally and just have the refs on the field doing the administration, maybe pointing out the things not visible to most cameras. either way, at this point, I think all flags should be reviewed before they're implemented
@ i think they should go back to banning gambling on sports lol but a second would be deep investigations and legally binding agreements threatening suit if they are found to be gambling. We need impartial refs.
@@MellowHypez consistency would b awesome, don't expect them to get every call right, but it should even out in the end
it is consistent tho.... consistently for the most profitable teams.
There's an easy explanation for this: The NFL is an entertainment organization, not a sports organization. Similar to the WWE, they can script everything ahead of time.
Except WWE doesn’t do BS like NFL does. Am I wrong?
the worst part of the first down call is the next gen tracker literally shows that the chip in the ball was well past the line. What's the point of putting this technology in the sport if you're going to leave the decision up to the person on the field with the worst angle who makes the wrong call?
The line judge who had the best view of the ball gave them the first down but was overruled!
Where can u see that? I thought they didn’t have a chip in the ball ?
@@SirFruitBowlio yeah where is that info at?
I am having trouble finding it from a reliable source. I see a Reddit post talking about it and with a few pictures and explanation. I could be missing something, because it is the first time I have tried to use the site, but on next gen stats website I am not seeing that play shown. Without a doubt though they have had chips in the balls for years.
If there's a choice between objectively knowing the outcome of a play or an ambiguous opinion from someone who couldn't see it, and the NFL relies on ambiguity over objectivity, then I think the only conclusion is that the call was made preferentially. I wouldn't watch a sport that attempts to pick winners.
The thing you referenced is Hanlon's Razor: "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."
I thought that was Occam's Razor
@BGerbs66 Occam's Razor is: "Entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity. Of two competing theories, the simpler explanation of an entity is to be preferred." iirc (basically means that the less complicated solution should be used lol)
Yes but everyone forgets the don’t rule out malice part of that stupid quote.
Honestly I hate Hanlon’s Razor. It’s an imposed hermeneutic that lets bad people off the hook and throws anyone off their trail. We all just keep throwing our hands up at how stupid things are instead of holding malicious people accountable.
Yeah, I know this is a Wendy’s..
@jefffinkbonner9551 well, the intent is to only treat it as not malicious unless something points towards malice.
This should be a lesson, if we can’t trust people with cameras on them, its not so ridiculous to think many other processes in life aren’t corrupt as hell.

flopping should be unsportsmanlike conduct
It’s an embellishment penalty in hockey and if you try it you get laughed at by the announcers and everyone in the stadium.
Football should do the same
Refs can penalize for flopping but they won't because it's only the chiefs that do it
Offensive flopping should be 15 yard penalty and an automatic loss of down. If it's defensive flopping, it should be an automatic 1st down.
It's a tech in basketball
If they are willing to actually call it
Flopping to draw out penalties is a move only cowards would use
That’s why it’s illegal in hockey
Josh allen has a whole highlight reel of flopping
Automatic "replay assist" on all penalties. If we can see it at home, they sure as hell can see it in the studio. There doesn't need to be a delay. Just correct the flag mistakes. Free the on-the-field refs from their damn-near impossible task to be everywhere at once!
its just a game. who cares

Yeah there's 22 guys running around technically committing fouls on almost every play... somewhere, sometime, some dude has commit holding or an illegal contact on every play lol. I don't expect them to flag EVERYTHING.
But if it's blatantly wrong on the replay, I don't see why you can't correct a call quickly and move on.
They actually don't have access to the broadcast cameras. Each stadium has standard review cameras in standardized spots. This is supposedly to prevent advantages at certain stadiums.
It's an entertainment league, not a sport.
dual classification
We complain about the big calls like PI, but offensive holding is the NFL's secret rigging tool. Just like when baseball players had to 'roid up to keep up, all offensive lineman have to hold otherwise they're falling behind other top lineman. And guess what? The NFL is going to call that hold whenever they want to kill a drive. And the players can't really complain because they did hold, but they have to. It's so sneaky and it sucks.
Yes, I’ve been thinking this for a while. The NFL has the theoretical ability to ensure the winner if they selectively enforce holding by the linemen.
@@Kaplan3093I mean you can call a hold on every single play pretty much, but I don’t think they call it because it’s entertainment and it would slow the game down too much
That and ineligible man down field. The Chiefs never get called for that one at home.
Well in the Super Bowl offensive holding is almost never called.
Too many eyeballs on the Super Bowl. I expect that game to be called clean. Or as clean as the refs are able. They still suck. Any fixing would happen leading up - preferentially in the wild card and divisional games.
Football is a game where 3-4 touchdowns can win you the game and the remaining possessions are punts or field goals. Refs wouldn’t call a flag on every play. When a team is finally gaining some momentum, a penalty at midfield can end a drive or turn a TD into a FG.
National. Entertainment. League.
This BS has cost this league forever....
We're on the brink of NFL history being made with another crack at the first 3-peat Super Bowl Champions and nobody cares because the officiating is that bad. I'm a Chargers fan and I hate this for all the regular reasons I should, but honestly it's sad that people aren't excited for the game due to years of officiating fatigue building up. I'm personally hoping the numbers for this Super Bowl are significantly down. Let whoever have their win, but I hope everyone that is actually sick of the officiating makes a statement by not tuning in, lord knows the fans of the other 30 fanbases have better things to do that day.
I'd love to skip it, but unfortunately it's a family get together, I basically stop watching all games when my favorite teams get eliminated in the regular season

@ Man, I wish
Skipping the Superbowl this year. The fix is in. Even if the Chief's don't win, the damage is done already
I'm a former baseball umpire and I'll say that when you're the one making the calls it is really hard to make the right one every single time. Jomboy has a pretty good video where it shows a close play one time at full speed and you're expected to make the call on that alone. Then it plays back in slow motion and find out that you were probably wrong.
The most frustrating part is having a coach and all of the fans talking smack about a call, then reviewing it after the game and confirming you were right, but had to listen to ignorant hecklers for the rest of the game.
I've been there, too. Well stated!
Yeah, I get that, but it's weird when they have the ability to look at the video if they want.... they just don't.
The Texans and Chiefs game has a ton of examples of this as well. Some of the worst I’ve seen
Yeah,on both sides
When the Chiefs are involved, you're right. There is no malice... Toward the Chiefs... They'd NEVER be malicious in that direction.
Except they missed AT LEAST 6 calls on the Bills.
well yeah, the refs work for the chiefs. so why would they ever do anything that would harm their employer.
As a bills fan I just want consistency. I don't mind losing I just want to lose honestly
this is so real. i’m so sick of the biased calls. the nfl is no longer an actual sport, it’s a business. what teams can we take to the super bowl that will make us the most money? that’s all it’s been for years now and as an athlete it just feels like we’re getting robbed of watching a good sport be played fairly
The consistency is that the Chiefs get all the calls.
>bills fan
>don't mind losing
Why did you say the same thing twice in one sentence?
Yeah i'm an Eagles fan and that weak ass call from 2 years ago in the super bowl annoys more and more everytime i see it. Consistency is so freaking important. If you're going to let players play physical, don't change it up and make weak ass calls at pivotal points in the game.
@@GaminEmailI laughed but I still hate you lil bro
Don't forget that the NFL has implemented microchips in game balls to track its position since 2017 but has chosen NOT to utilize this feature when spotting the ball for line-to-gain situations in critical moments
Why is there not a ref high up in a booth with access to multiple camera angles and replays. Who can overrule anything?
lmao What an idea. you must believe in God too
Because then they wouldn't be able to rig the games as easy. There are so many things they could do but won't, on purpose.
because the league still thinks officials can’t make bad penalty calls 😂
@@hhaste You think having a single official that can overrule anything would make it harder to change games? Seriously?
I don’t understand why some of the rule analysts aren’t refs or sit in the booth like you said but hey what do I know
Hockey has a similar problem, and the solution for us is to accept that refs can call games differently but within a game the calls need to be consistent with themselves. If a ref doesn’t call something like an obvious cross check, that’s ok, as long as that is used as the baseline being set for that game that it’s going to be a physical game. Then, problems only arise if after that he calls someone else for a questionable trip or something. Reffing will never be perfect across a league, but as long as they can make it a consistent tone within the individual game being played you can start to accept that as a compromise.
NFL needs to REVIEW REPLAY EVERYTIME. Use their billions of dollars to hire some refs that do nothing but SIT IN A BOOTH AND REVIEW EVERY PLAY. It's 2025 ffs !
The refs are not even full time employees, you think they can add more?
Yeah, 'cause reviewing PI calls worked so well...
They'll never admit they got a call wrong.
@@thatonewriter8043 the PI review not working was 100% intentional. The guy they had reviewing all the PI calls was on record saying that he hated instant replay in all cases. It was sabotaged.
It's adorable you think that it's because of incompetence and not intentional
@@scottlemiere2024 Back in the day, pass interference was only called if the defender tackled the receiver before the ball got there. 100% accuracy.
I feel like something that could fix this is giving teams extra challenges during games, as well as changing the review system as a whole, there shouldn’t be a thing as “non reviewable plays”
You don't even need an extra challenge, just the ability to challenge penalties. Get called for a PI that wasn't PI? Right now, too bad the Ref is God and you can't question him. With the ability to have a coach's challenge of calls like referees would likely pretty quickly clean up their calls so extra challenges wouldn't be necessary.

I don't watch the games nor have the stat to say the percentage of times Allen and Mahomes gets hit per game but the roughing the passer call Mahomes got against the Texans compared to the non call, on what seemed to me the exact same hit, on Allen on his last play against the Chiefs seems very clear on the favoritism in my eyes. Not to mention when 2 defenders hit each other and barely touched Mahomes and he still got the call.
We been in this cycle of rigging for yrs , they don’t replay plays that support their calls only ones in their favor, no holding calls against certain teams, giving the edge to certain teams , they can hear and see everything on the field except the right call.

On the catch call, tie goes to the offense. The ball never moved when it hit the ground. The 4th down tush push you literally couldn't even see the ball so how can you difinitely say he crossed? I think he might have gotten it but for a call to be reversed it has to be UNDENIABLE proof and you can't say that if you can't see the damn ball.
His view was completely blocked by a chiefs defender. Why when there is conflict of calls, the refs disagree, should they get to make a subjective choice prior to review. If they disagree it should be immediately reviewed before any call is made.

As a lifetime Rugby fan, it makes no sense to me that the NFL has so many on-field refs but don't have a video ref watching the game from a top-down angle - and with the amount of stoppages that take place they can check replays from multiple angles and spot these things.
Expecting refs on the field to be at the right angle to spot everything in real-time is unrealistic.
This comment may be random but.. (puts on tin foil hat) Yes, the refs ARE helping the Chiefs on behalf of the NFL. #1, Taylor Swift, nuff said. #2, their golden advertising boy Patrick Mahomes, they'd much rather have him star in the big game. They definitely have their pockets lined.
Oh definitely, ask a non sports watcher and they'll say it's obviously rigged
I really do wonder how many people are going to watch the SB just because of Taylor Swift. I bet it is in the millions. And it is people who wouldn't watch otherwise, so that is plenty of evidence to point towards it being rigged. I quit watching NFL around 2016, after I was convinced of the rigging.
If something doesn’t make sense that means someone is definitely benefiting
Last few years, I think Kelce’s the new golden ad boy for the Chiefs. Mahomes has a family at home. 😂

With gambling in sports and legal and paying college athletes nil money this is going to continue to be a problem, it’s going to get worse
honestly gambling being legal means college athletes have to be paid or they're way too susceptible to game-fixing schemes. NIL won't cut it either because most guys on a college team aren't getting much of anything from that. Kickers, holders, and offensive linemen in particular are sort of invisible but can potentially have a huge impact on the score
I just feel like there is no way that professional refs could be this terrible like it’s literally there job to make these calls yet they don’t which make me thinks it’s rigged
If you think NFL refs are bad, go take their job. Seriously. Conferences and leagues will happily hire better people and cut the shitty ones.
@@teebob21I don’t think they are that bad I think that it’s rigged
@ Interesting claim. On what evidence or professional experience are you basing that conclusion?
On the matter, I will say this: three people can keep a secret if two of them are dead. "Rigging" the NFL for some nefarious purpose or gain (or even just for entertainment value) would require that dozens or hundreds of people keep it an absolute secret forever, which is incredibly unlikely.
@@teebob21 I mean how can you watch this video and see how bad and inconsistent they are when they are looking directly at the play it’s seems impossible for them to be so incompetent so it seems the only conclusion is that they are doing it on purpose which I don’t think it would be very hard to keep a secret by making them sign a contract and paying a good amount of money.
Kelce also literally TAUNTS the opponent. Which is a flag. If it was called right then and there, there would likely not have been an escalation on the bills side. A lot of their penalties are from frustration. Not only are they getting ticky tack calls but also getting taunted? Wild. It’s a snowball effect. Tinfoil take - the league knows this will happen. They drew it up that way.

When there are trillions of dollars on the line, there's no way the game unfolds naturally.
Can’t wait to see more “coincidences” in the super bowl
That "ghost face mask" was actually a good call because the receiver's head moved
9:18 - Nah, that looks in bounds to me.
There's a straight on sideline photo of the catch and Devontes foot is inbounds so this is a miss from Isaac
It’s an optical illusion almost that it almost looks out of bounds first, but he’s clearly in one the other angle
it is, it's clear as day that it's inbounds but sadly the refs are known for being incompetent.
@@Sound_SparkIn this case they werent though. They made the correct call with it being complete. Isaac was the one missing on this one.
Surely there's no connection between the worsening of ref calls and the explosion of sports betting advertisement, surely!
Ever since that chiefs game I’ve been waiting for this video. 😂
I heard the NFL is ready to move forward with a new rule that makes it a 15 yard penalty and ejection for breathing within 10 yards of Patrick Mahomes.
i heard there's another rule being discussed that if you so much as look at mahomes it's an immediate ejection followed by a a minimum of 5 games that you can't play.
Offensive holding is where refs finesse the game. When they call it and how often they dont call it controls the outcome of games.
Never forget the NFL is legally sports entertainment.
"if his foot is a half inch up its not a penalty"
nah, I've seen too many late hits where the player is still clearly in bounds, even a full step away from OOB.
LoL you don't think Barkley knows he has no chance for a first down and b-lines on purpose. Of course he did. There is no way the defender could trigger off in that time span, especially because they are trained to hit at insane speeds. They simply need to say if you are in the white boundary you are fair game. Think a buffer zone. These things are simple in strategy games.
4:54 Thank you! You can't just have one be a call when you feel like it while the other isn't despite being literally the same interaction. That inconsistency is what we call a "disgusting act".
If it had been Mahomes and not Hurts it would have been a flag on both of those plays.
I haven't been super involved in football for a long time, and all I can say is this: people were tired of the monday morning quarterbacking before, and now the Refs are doing it live and altering the game in the process

Thanks for the love
I'm curious, because I'm in the market for a mattress right now.. how does trying out a mattress for a couple minutes in the store help you out? You need to sleep on it for a while to know if it's the right mattress or not. I stayed at a friends house for as week and the mattress was great the first night, but started to hurt my lower back every night after that. Laying on it for a couple minutes doesn't help with anything, other than figuring out if you like them soft or firm. If you already know that, then I don't see why they shouldn't just be bought online.

"the game isnt played in slow motion" answers literally all of your questions.
Don't they literally have access to slow motion cameras with multiple angles?
@@quarttknee Sure, but the players are playing full speed. Calling penalties on things that are obvious in slow motion is unfair to the players, because a lot of times a situation changes suddenly from one where a hit is completely legal and safe to one where this is no longer the case. For the sake of safety the game has been moving more and more toward calling penalties on illegal hits even where, by the time the player could see that the hit wouldn't be legal, they've already committed, and it's demonstrably made offense stronger and defense harder. It's not a bad thing, necessarily, but the referees need to weigh "how dangerous was the situation, was the player able to change their momentum, what is the nature of the penalty and what is the game state" on each call, not just whether or not we can see that it was technically illegal when we go to 0.1x speed. Even with the cameras so many calls will still be extremely subjective and it's problematic in a game like football where any penalty can have a huge impact on the game.
@@Legault397 This I get and I agree! It's hard to be on defense when you can't change your direction mid tackle. I guess I was more referring to calls like the first down call, or a call about whether or not a ball was caught. With modern technology, calls like those should be easy to review and see whether or not the ruling on the field is _objectively_ correct.
That’s what professional refs should be good at. Watching
The simplest rule: whatever group is in charge of ARBITRATING games is banned from being associated in ANY way to gambling.
Since the NFL started promoting gambling, they forfeited the right to provide the referees for their own organization's games.
A third party that has that rule held to them and their referee employees under penalty of termination and civil litigation (if not criminal fraud charges) is the ONLY way to restore integrity to the game. End of discussion.
There’s an image of smith’s catch that shows he wasn’t out of bounds.
“There was no block in the back here. Get a grip”. Proceeds to show 2 blatant and 1 questionable blocks in the back 😂
If you think the officiating in your preferred sport is bad, PLEASE GO OUT THERE AND DO IT YOURSELF. You can start at the club level, and move up to high school varsity in just a season or two, and if you're any good, you can go to camps and get selected for college games. Officials in top college conferences will get noticed and get invited to professional evaluation camps, and get signed to a roster. It's as simple as being better than at least ONE currently-working official. Officiating is a cutthroat avocation, and as soon as someone better comes along, they (assignors, conference coordinators, and the NFL) hire them.
That's what I did. I make over $10k a year working sports I don't even like. It's a lot more work than I thought it would be.
It's not inconsistence when this exact thing has been happening for 50 years. That's called a way to cheat the outcome. In the 1970s the Steelers were getting these types of calls to help them win 4 superbowls. It's not a bug, it's a feature. ❤
Use the bias to your advantage, last year we saw them refuse to let the Lions win, with the UFC bet the local fighters in the east as well. These are businesses first sports second. Honestly, I don't know if they got it right or not. It not a simple dual possession. Each guy had it like twice there
@ Yep. The very fact that we're having this discussion tells me that the replay booth made the correct decision. If the video evidence is not indisputable, then the call stands, and the game moves on.
What possession. Touching the ball isn't possession
When you fear integrity and accountability, you are no longer the good guys.
With all the cameras around the field there shouldn’t be these many bad calls. Honestly seems like the NFL is scared for the refs to say “we were wrong. After review we changed our decision”
Remember, NFL is a private business, monopoly. It’s no longer really a sport but a show and the plot is written or manipulated for profit. No body or rarely are any of the players from the city they are playing in. High school games are more honest.
They need clearer rules for pass interference. Here's my proposal: The defender shall not grasp with his hand any part of the receiver's clothing or body until the ball has touched some part of the receiver's body. The defender shall not directly impede the movement of the receiver's arms or legs at any time with any part of his body. The receiver MAY position himself in front of the receiver to impede progress so long as the arms, legs, and hands are not extended to do so, and may begin a tackle on the receiver as soon as the ball has touched any part of the receiver's body.
This would result in some things that are currently interference not being interference, but all of these things can be immediately analyzed with a yes/no answer in slow motion and a flag picked up if the answer is no.
For this and many other reasons, I do NOT watch NFL games anymore and I couldn't be happier, healthier (mentally, physically and spiritually)..No more weekends wasted on a league that gives ZERO F's about their fans. I have way more time for my Children and grandchildren..no wasted time on watching grown men run after an oblong ball.
Imagine AI refs. Yeah, your game might be a good bit longer due to a lower number of missed calls, but who wouldn't love their NFL parties lasting a bit longer?
The fact that GENE says "I dont like that call " with an official reason more than Refs have missed calls says a lot about the NFL
Guarantee you next season the announcers are banned from questioning calls. They'll just say things like, "Well, guess we saw it wrong, the guys on the field clearly know what happened."
