Yeah, the earlier cars were way cooler, like sure the aero was much worse and I'm assuming the general platforms of these cars is leagues ahead of the old ones, but god they sounded so much cooler.

I think the FIA should consider sending F1 drivers to race in Formula E as a form of punishment for rule violations in F1 races. That would be a great deterrent.

You know what... That actually might work. This layout of Monaco is especially dull. Paired with that screeching sound, I doubt anyone who's driven the actual monaco layout would want to drive this. Though I doubt it would not go well with formula e drivers.

Honestly I’d hate for them to try to artificially change the sound. It would feel so fake to me. I’d rather hear what’s actually going on inside the car, even if it isn’t the most entertaining sound.
@@jamesmathai1138 it doesn’t have to be electronically or artificially, could be mechanically. Some electric motors with inverters sound really good, some electric trains for example.

The perfect formula e sound would be the supercharger of a 2019 red bull. If you dont understand what I am talking, watch the max verstapen Pole position in Interlagos and hear the battery sound, the very slight slim noise boosting the engine roar

F1 cars have turbochargers not superchargers. Even then that sound youre hearing is the straight cut gears in the transmission - nothing to do with the powertrain.
its not a supercharger that sound is the hybrid system at work
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH WHAT THE F OOCK, 1- F1 use turbos not superchargers, 2- the engine sounds very loud so you cant heard any hybrid system working, 3- the drill sound (thats eeeeeEEEEEEE sound) comes from the transmission, these cars use straight cut gears that make sounds like a jet engine, better go and read a book cos tik tok and internet is killing your brain

So the cars designed to be quick to accelerate and take tight technical corners modified Monaco and said "yeah we just want it to be a box". Like they ignored the entire technical part, that should be their whole thing. Smh this is why I can't get excited about FE, I think EVs are sick but this is just disappointing.

I guess they use a different track configuration for Formula E. F1 still uses the old route apart from minor revisions.
@@ozne1009 FE uses the F1 layout now with a different chicane.
The first few years they used a shortened layout however due to politics from the FIA.

@@Mav86asian If you’re not biased and actually did some surface level research, you’ll see that Electric cars will make up for their production emissions after 8,000 miles, after that point it’ll become more environmentally friendly than a gas car. Nobody buys a car, then toss it out after less than 8,000 miles, so obviously that would make electric vehicles more environmentally friendly than a gas car.

Is it good that they sound like a spaceship? I enjoy watching car racing, in which the noise plays a huge part when viewing. It is fact that, for most people, FE is less entertaining which is partially due to the lack of noise. The cars have limited range, 335bhp and weigh 900kg - this is not what formula racing is about. How can this be as exciting as even some of the junior formula categories?
@@lou2737 yeah formula E should just be formula 1 cars but called E. why have anything unique or interesting in this life when everything can be the same?
@@countvondutchessofwestmoor3974 there is unique and there is interesting however they are not one in the same as you can see by FE. It could be made more interesting by making the cars lighter and faster (whilst saying electric) but the battery technology isn't there for it yet.
