MacGovernor ikr! His best season in F1 by far, much better than when he won in 2009. Really deserved the championship that year, shame RB was just too quick.
Willy Wonka It felt longer than that while I was sitting in the pouring rain lol... But the pass on the last lap made everything ok, I'll never forget it. I'll never forget how loud our section was. You couldn't hear vettels car roaring away for a second
***** Button or Vettel. I think that, Vettel is good at this year, of course he's car not good, but he can drive. Button is good too, but he's "old" for this sport (i think). He must try win some race at next year with Mclaren-Honda, but i like him.
***** It's easier for Ricciardo because that's basically the fastest car he's driven. He's taken a step UP from last year's Toro Rosso while Vettel has taken a step down from last year's Red Bull. The Vettel-Ferrari partnership is going to be interesting next season though.
Not really a valid argument cause most drivers are in a worse car even mercedes is a slower car than last year. Both Red Bull drivers are in the same car it's down to how good a driver you are to how much you get out of it. Look at Kovalainen in Lotus last year he hadn't driven a car that good since McLaren and he did crap then.
I remember watching this, everyone was in our front room on the edge of our seats, all going "come on Jenson", "he doesn't have enough time", "how's he gonna get past him!" Then Vettel slipped up, because Jenson was right on his tail he slips by! And everyone was screaming "YES!"
It's so different watching it all these years later, seeing 2011 Button with his dad and Jessica. The best race of the decade, and one of the finest displays in F1 Racing
The most epic race ever. With 20 laps to go it seemed like Jenson might not even catch up to the pack, and then he just obliterated all of them with the most incredible drive. I remember, I was on the M1 motorway when this was on, late on a Sunday night, and I just exploded when Jenson got through into the lead. Just awesome.
This was the longest canadian gp ever. I actually sat down and kept watching until the race resumed. I wasn't dissapointed. Brilliant racing by jenson. From last to first in just half a race time.
Axlr 2706 I was at the race In turn 6/7... It felt like an eternity but the pass on the last lap made everything alright :'] Our section cheered so loud you couldn't hear the cars for a moment lol.
As mostly Hamilton's fan I must say that I really enjoyed this race and every wet race won by either of those guys. Their friendship is so nice to see and it's a shame that they are not teammates anymore because they pushed each other forward a lot. This is, as Jenson said, his best win ever. Beautiful driving with a few mistakes, but last joke was on Vettel which was very nice to look at :) you can't win all your races with a half minute advantage leading every lap like Vettel does, it's just not cool, but what Button did in every wet race he has won is very cool.
I remember I was working on Spa that day as an official and recorded it so that I could watch it when I got back home. Turned out I could watch the recording and tune in live after :) I also remember myself screaming of joy, waking up entire house when he finally passed Vettel in the last lap, after driving such a magnificent race! Everybody was so pissed, but I couldn't care less, I just witnessed one of the greatest, if not THE greatest race in my history of being a F1 fan
Lars Wagner My section in turn 6/7 drowned out the roar of the cars from cheering, it was deafening but we didn't expect it. It was raw emotion and after 4 hours it felt great to exhale lol
One of the last vew truly epic moments in F1 history, this is something for the history books for sure, and really proved Button isn't just a driver, a well deserved win for him.
I was at the le mans 24 hour when this happened, wife at home told me it was great race but didn't tell me the result, couldn't believe the finish when I watched it a few days later. JB legend!! so happy he is racing this year.
This was the best Grand Prix I've ever seen I remember just feeling amazing. It was such a good drive, and as a strategic race I think it's one of the best ever, 24th to 1st was unbelievable and I love Jenson. This video is so good too the music is beautiful it fits perfectly thank you.
never heard anyone calling Button 'worst world champion'. maybe because i dont contact with people who know so little about F1, maybe for some other reason. Button proved himself as very gifted, intelligent and what's important smart and strong decision maker during races from early on. he used to do impossible things with shit cars back when you could do stuff like that (unlike now, when car is driving by itself). he is one of those that simple minded people will never accept because they just will never be able to see his strengths. he is one of the most technically intelligent champions and probably last one of them. im so happy that he achieved that - being fan of his from 2003, seeing what he was doing with his shit BAR...
I had to watch the last several laps of this race in silence since my 3-day-old son was sleeping in the next room. I've never cheered so quietly before.
I was so happy that day, Jenson has always been my favourite driver in the F1. Seeing him pull off a comeback like that had my jumping in my seat on that last lap
THIS Grand Prix was amazing. Still brings a tear to my eye, especially with this music. Button was an amazing driver and could have been a multiple world champion.
Jenson in a nutshell right there people just AMAZING. amazing drive and one of my heroes. hes having a tough time at the moment this year with the car and also after losing his dad. I know what that's like so well done to him for still doing good this year and still enjoying himself. If u dont win this year everyone can garentee u will next year with honda.
This race shown those Button haters that he isn't the worst world champion. No one, not even Vettel could do that in those conditions. Button was the best driver in 2011. Shame about his car now. Hopefully next year McLaren give him a winning car, then he'll make Vettel his bitch like in 2009.
Such a good drive by jenson. Esp with how he kept up with one of the best formula 1 cars in the history of f1 in that red bull. Not a jenson fan, but this one earned him respect
I remember this! I was cheering at my TV! Sooo happy for Button, he deserved this win more than anyone else. Would have been great to have Lewis in 2nd place with him.
Quite simply the greatest Formula 1 victory of all time! From dead last to first in less than half race distance in extremely difficult conditions after 2 accidents, a puncture, a broken front wing and a drive through penalty and a total of 6 trips through the pits!!!
" We can have him, we can win this race Jenson" GOOSEBUMPS!
I watched it, wtf so boring, and that started
Jenson was the best driver in 2011 season, hands down.
MacGovernor ikr! His best season in F1 by far, much better than when he won in 2009. Really deserved the championship that year, shame RB was just too quick.
Vettel exists
What a blatant lie
@@Firebolt1729made too many mistakes, got carried by the machine
@@jensonisntfunny Apart from Canada?
It was one of those races that you remember when you were when you watched it. The longest race in modern memory. :)
Is it not the longest race ever if memory serves me right?
***** it is the longest f1 race, 4 hous and 4 minutes.
Willy Wonka indeed it was, when i was watching it they had to move it to another channel cause they were almost ruining over their scheduled time
You are right
Willy Wonka It felt longer than that while I was sitting in the pouring rain lol... But the pass on the last lap made everything ok, I'll never forget it. I'll never forget how loud our section was. You couldn't hear vettels car roaring away for a second
probably button's finest win
I've been watching F1 since 2000 and I can easily say that this is the greatest race I've ever seen. I doubt any race could ever top this.
same cannot explain how motivating I find this video
There’s more to this race/video then just a race win
Russia 2021
This is my favourite F1 race of all time, if this happened in a movie nobody would believe it!
I can watch this every day, twice
+therealdefpunk well it's 4 hours)) so 6 times max
I am Vettel fan, but i think Button's drive was incredible !!
how's 2014 going?
***** Button or Vettel. I think that, Vettel is good at this year, of course he's car not good, but he can drive. Button is good too, but he's "old" for this sport (i think). He must try win some race at next year with Mclaren-Honda, but i like him.
ricciardo better in every way. button needs to stop complaining all the time.
***** It's easier for Ricciardo because that's basically the fastest car he's driven. He's taken a step UP from last year's Toro Rosso while Vettel has taken a step down from last year's Red Bull. The Vettel-Ferrari partnership is going to be interesting next season though.

whoever put this edit together is a god, I got goosebumps
Taureg bbc
Not only his greatest win, but the greatest win of all time in f1!
sorry man have to disagree, SENNA with only the 3rd is the greatest win of all time in f1
It's so different watching it all these years later, seeing 2011 Button with his dad and Jessica.
The best race of the decade, and one of the finest displays in F1 Racing
Hard to believe this race was 10 years ago ! The best we’ve had in the last 10 years imo
Jonathan Dunn that's crazy stuff bro this was emotional for everyone
Greatest race I"ve ever watched in person. Miserable day was rewarded with the greatest race I ever watched
Not only his greatest, but one of the greatest I've ever seen live.
I was in my mates house and they didnt like F1. (too boring?)
I proved them all wrong.
What a race.
like nothing else
the best bit of this video is when Lewis shakes his head in disbelief and with a big smile applauds Jenson, that's respect.
This was the longest canadian gp ever. I actually sat down and kept watching until the race resumed. I wasn't dissapointed. Brilliant racing by jenson. From last to first in just half a race time.
+Arjol P Not just the longest Canadian GP ever. It was the longest EVER F1 GP.
Nobody has ever gone from last to first in only 30 laps besides jenson, he is a true LEGEND
karanick016 greece I'm not looking forward to the day he announces retirement from F1. He's been in the paddock since the turn of the millennium.
Axlr 2706 I was at the race In turn 6/7... It felt like an eternity but the pass on the last lap made everything alright :']

Thank you for everything JB. Legend of our sport :)
Это была потрясающая гонка. Столько ждать возобновления и получить такое шоу
One of the last vew truly epic moments in F1 history, this is something for the history books for sure, and really proved Button isn't just a driver, a well deserved win for him.
If he ever deserved to beat Vettel and Redbull this is the one! I remember jumping out of my seat when Vettel went wide! Will never forget this race!
I was at the le mans 24 hour when this happened, wife at home told me it was great race but didn't tell me the result, couldn't believe the finish when I watched it a few days later. JB legend!! so happy he is racing this year.

Goosebumps every time I watch this Race. Amazing By Jenson, incredible
This was the first season of f1 I watched properly, but even with my limited knowledge of the history I knew that this was one of the best races ever.
When I saw Florence in the description, I grined like a Cheshire cat, then I realised that this was done by Auntie! Thanks BBC Sport!!

Probably the best race in modern F1.....and the best driving performance.
I've been watching F1 since 1992 and that was the best race I have ever seen, Button was magnificent.
Not just the best F1 race but the best sporting spectacle ever.
I had to watch the last several laps of this race in silence since my 3-day-old son was sleeping in the next room. I've never cheered so quietly before.
A very respectable man and still is now.
Best. Race. ever. Jenson...a true gent on the track. Deserves a better car. What a guy.
So many times I've watched this video but it still takes a big place in my heart. Best race of Jenson. "Never give up" - (c)
By far the best GP I have ever, ever watched. Jenson Button is legendary.
This race made me a Jenson Button fan. One of the best F1 victories ever!
Like Spa, Brazil and Monaco, Canada never disappoints!
monaco always disappoints but the others agreed
Jorgie Papi Monaco sometimes, like the 2012 and 2014 I quite enjoyed!
Monaco and Canada until 2018. We'll need to see for Spa.
11 years on this is such a story, never give up ay.
Hamiltons face of approval. Priceless
BEHIND THE GREAT MAN THE GREAT WOMANб she did it for him and stayed number one
Since this day....jenson is one of the best driver all the time for me.
Seeing Jenson with his dad.. seeing him so happy :)
I cried of happiness when Button crossed that line.
Possibly the best race I have ever seen. Jenson and McLaren's tenacity throughout was incredible.
I will never forget this race for as long as I live, pure drama to the end!
Button, you're an absolute legend.
This is why Jenson is one of the legends I doubt many if any other driver could of pulled off what he did.
Jenson Button won so much races when conditions changed during the event... For me, he is the best when this occurs.
I was there... God we were wet! It was really cold too... What a great memory, though my shoes are still soaked from that day! Lol
Elvisvivant Soo. U were wet( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) . What was her name, then? :O
DoktorDK creep
J'étais là moi aussi! At turn 6, I saw Vettel slide right in front of me, what a day. My shoes are still wet too...
Elvisvivant Me too turn 6/7!
I never seen a victory like that, he is my n1
i still am and always was a Jenson Button Fan :)
Never felt more excited after a GP when Button won in Canada.
I remember this drive. What a true gentleman of the sport we love. Awesome awesome awesome
It’s up there with the best F1 races ever
Феноменальная победа Баттона за всю его карьеру,Дженсон лучший👍🎇🎊🎆😁
I can watch that final lap again and again. and I will!
J'étais assis dans la tribune où le dépassement sur Vettel s'est fait. Un souvenir impérissable.
definitely one of the best races I have ever seen. Unbelievable.
I was there and was lucky to get a picture of the moment Seb slipped in the corner.
1:03 Christian Horner :DD "F***, what's going on with Jenson?" :D
nmmo
I never seen it I have tears number one!
Greatest race in the History of F1!!!!! I was in tears after the race
Def one of the greatest wins in F1 of all time...possibly the greatest!
Button was unstoppable that day
This race shown those Button haters that he isn't the worst world champion. No one, not even Vettel could do that in those conditions. Button was the best driver in 2011. Shame about his car now. Hopefully next year McLaren give him a winning car, then he'll make Vettel his bitch like in 2009.
Button is the most underrated driver F1 has ever seen.
Such a good drive by jenson. Esp with how he kept up with one of the best formula 1 cars in the history of f1 in that red bull. Not a jenson fan, but this one earned him respect
When the car is right and the conditions are right Jenson is a monster.
This is the best race I ever seen!
One of the best races i've ever watched :) ...
Remember watching this late in the night .. i screamed when JB won nd my dad woke up :D
Not a Button fan, but that is one of the most beautiful races/victories i've ever seen.
I love the Canadian grand prix, top 5 races on the schedule for sure
I watched it, my eyes didn't believe it.
I remember this! I was cheering at my TV! Sooo happy for Button, he deserved this win more than anyone else. Would have been great to have Lewis in 2nd place with him.
Greatest win for mclaren and jenson button
Best. Race. Ever.
7/8/18 jenson did some commentary today for the gb gp, i had to watch this again

Remember this like it was yesterday
Best race ever
this is what defines Jenson and Formula 1
I could bite my ass off that I missed this race... ):(
The greatest race of all time no question about it.
one of the best drives in a race iv ever seen...
best drive of 2012 by far tbh
maybe the best grand prix I've ever seen
this why I will watch every race! in the hope that maybe just maybe we get a race like that.
reminds me of old times
Quite simply the greatest Formula 1 victory of all time!
From dead last to first in less than half race distance in extremely difficult conditions after 2 accidents, a puncture, a broken front wing and a drive through penalty and a total of 6 trips through the pits!!!
One of the best races in awhile

Inspirational driving by Jenson there, I mean EVERYTHING went wrong for him
His greatest win, absolutely. Better than those early 2009 wins : )
