Lewis is a fantastic guy. There is absolutely no reason to hate him. Those that do are subconscious racists. Lewis is easily one of the nicest and most humble and normal of all the drivers.
A very fitting tribute to Jenson and his father John.. Beautiful piece of artwork.. Have a year off Jenson .. put your feet up and see how you feel in 12 months time..
I've said it before and I'll say it again, JB, Jenson Button, was the LAST of the gentleman racers. He had class, intelligence and manners and those qualities are rarely seen in the racers in F1 now. I realize I'll take some flack from fans of the current crop of F1 drivers, but having been an F1 fan since I was a child in the 1960s I have a lot of history to look back on and the drivers around at that time were well and truly, "gentleman racers." I have had the good fortune to have met a few of my Formula 1 heroes from those days, Brian Redman, John Surtees and Jacky Ickx are enough name dropping for this bit. I spent the most time with Jacky Ickx and he was a perfect gentleman who had the patience to sit and talk to me about those days when he was a contender for the WDC, despite the immense pressure for his time that weekend. The man was pure class, just as I imagine JB will be when he reaches the age of Jacky Ickx. Again, I'm a #22 fan for life. Lastly, I cannot end this without an appropriate: Requiescat in pace, Sir Sterling Moss.
So sad to see Jenson go. Such class, humility, intelligence and incredible race craft. He truly is one of the few remaining gentlemen in Formula 1. A thoroughly good guy.
What a sincere and great moment of respect and love to JB. Done with so moch style and class by DC, why doesn't we have those kind of people in the sportsmedia the Netherlands?
haha true.. its funny how everyone EVERYONE says they are crap - drivers think they are shit, fans think v6 are shit, team bosses think they are shit but FIA still insists on V6...
I love Jenson, one of my favorite drivers of all time, but man was his reaction to that stunning sculpture so...underwhelming. I don't know if they edited out some stuff, but I'd be in tears! That thing is amazing, and the fact that his father's name is also on it was such a nice touch.
rockzs74r sadly, he had to sue to get an actual BGP001 chassis as merc wanted to build him a replica despite his contract saying he would be entitled to one if he won the championship
The year Jenson won the world championship was the best year ever for me seeing his struggles before the beginning when Honda pulled out. It’s almost a rags to riches story. A brand new car, the uncertainty, then amazing test results pre-season. Seeing Jenson hugged by his Dad when he won the title, but my favourite race of all was his Canadian win from the back of the pack to beating Vettel in what was the longest race in history with the weather halting the race. A true racing legend and a thoroughly decent human being.
Jenson, You have made my life a little bit more colourful and just joyabe! I have followed Your groovy career since 2001, while You was competing for Benetton. I still can't believe, it's over in F1. Thank You and good luck for the future. Enjoy your new life. PS. It was amazing to could see Jenson in Monte Carlo, Monaco in 2017. Especially the qualifying session was brilliant, when it's going about Jenson's performance in it ! In the race, after unlucky retirement, I was crying.
Got to see Jenson test and shake his hand all those years ago at Kyalami South Africa. Sadly only ever saw him race on tv. That manta looks amazing. In all honesty, formula one cars are usually shoddy up close, last time I saw them up close (ok around 2001) I couldn't believe what looks so amazing from far is far from nice. Built for a reason, not to look pretty. I think Alistair incorporated both in his design. I like it
Does anyone know how I can get in contact with Alastair? I was looking for a 60th birthday gift for my father and one of his sculptures may fit the bill.
I found his website after about 10 minutes of searching. Alot of nice things, but that stingray is way to rich for my blood. The standard black is 92,500 Pounds,lol...so im assuming the one off for JB is worth at least double that.
Nonna, you can go either through me - I am Alastair's manager - or go through our web page (sales@carbonart45.com). And don't worry about the price so much. The 'aero manta' ('standard black' as you call it) that you saw is more than triple the size of the one that was made for JB. Both pieces are spectacular!
When he was talking about all the parts he was going to use I was thinking a god what combobulation is he stick him with but the manta ray sculpture is actually really sick.
2:53 And in the end it wasn't! Thanks to Fernando, we got to witness a great drive from a true gentleman one last time in Monaco. No kidding, P10 in qualifying straight away, but we all know what happened between him and Wehrlein
Would have been destroyed by Lewis. He was incredibly lucky against Lewis. In 2011 Lewis was driving like Maldonado and that’s the only reason button beat him
He is the kind of driver that have almost no hater. Proof that sometimes nice guys finish first
totally, shame LH didnt learn from him.
Lewis is a fantastic guy. There is absolutely no reason to hate him. Those that do are subconscious racists. Lewis is easily one of the nicest and most humble and normal of all the drivers.
Everyone who doesn't like someone who is black must be a racist, nice, unflappable logic there...
Rai/santi Bontempo pro you wouldn't know cos you don't know Lewis?
David I mean I’m black and hate Lewis so your theory is flawed 🤔
"You arrive with dreams into Formula one, and hopefully leave with memories"
Brilliant saying, brilliant guy. Will miss him!

He is a gentleman... gentleman of F1! No words to add. That`s so sad not to see him in Formula1 in current grid :((

Wow, a TV show giving a gift that isn't total pish. That actually looks stunning
It’s a phish
Brawn GP's livery really had became an absolute classic, an icon that will be forever remembered dearly.
A thorough gentleman - the sport will be poorer by his leaving
What a sincere and great moment of respect and love to JB. Done with so moch style and class by DC, why doesn't we have those kind of people in the sportsmedia the Netherlands?
Jenson Button is a class act!! will be sorely missed!
Wow that's beautiful , the Esp with the Brawn Colour way
"this is my last race"
Jenson, you will not be disappointed.
Forever the nicest driver and well deserved that WDC
Come and do some commentary on the grid Jenson.
Oh please, I'd love to see him!
he is too busy wining other championships like the super GT500
@@shadowfan982 well in 2019 he will be part of the sky sports f1 team
I will miss Jenson
what a champion. One of my favourite F1 Racers ever.
"I love that its a V8 and not a V6" ya cause he knows they are piles of shit. lol
haha true.. its funny how everyone EVERYONE says they are crap - drivers think they are shit, fans think v6 are shit, team bosses think they are shit but FIA still insists on V6...
Mihails Nesterovics I don't know man ever time i post about it in the comments i get roasted by people who say V8 V10 are shit.
Mihails Nesterovics actually, its the teams what voted for the V6, Ferrari was actually pushing for 1.4 or 1.6 liter V6
Well there is always that dedicated group of people who stand by that V12's are the only right way to go, disliking anything different then that.
GET BACK V10'Z!
I wish he came back in 2018
A real gentleman, Sir Jenson Button!
IM NOT CRYING, YOURE CRYING
lol hahahahaha
we're crying :)
Space Martian we're definitely crying
No mate, It's raining!! see
Nope, you're CRYING. :P
thanks JB

Ome of the classiest drivers ever! And that sculpture is a work of art!!!
Never changed . He's the same sweet guy from start to finish
Massa got his F1 car...
Yeah but it's a V6...
Hahaha true!
im curious if theyre giving him an engine since i thought they were leased from merc
Button already have an F1 car in his garage. Brawn BGP 001 chasis 1 which wrecked by barichelo in early season. His car chasis 2 is kept by ross brawn
rockzs74r sadly, he had to sue to get an actual BGP001 chassis as merc wanted to build him a replica despite his contract saying he would be entitled to one if he won the championship

Can not help liking JB such a genuine guy !
DC looks like he's endlessly blushing (just sunburn really...)
JB for that seat at Merc, more than able to handle Lewis and with the new downforce and tyre management requirements he would be phenomenal 👍🏎
That would've been great.
'You arrive with dreams, you leave with memory's' - JB - I love that
Underrated driver and fully deserved to win at least 1 championship!!
An absolute gentleman,,,

That manta ray sculpture is gorgeous, have to say absolutely amazing sculpture
I'll miss you so badly Jenson
Will never forget Canada 2011 . One of the greatest F1 races ever .
I wish Jenson was still racing in Formula 1 he was quite the driver
one of the best
Fantastic piece of Art,
For me, still my Number One! And always will be...................
Lovely guy Jenson,
Humble intelligent chap who deserved his world title as much as anyone,
Credit to his dad John .
jb is a legend
Goodbye Jenson, a great driver, a great showman , a great character .
WEC Championship Jenson, go for it! :)

Nonna Yurbuzness maybe you can try looking for him on the internet or some forums or so

JENSON THE GENTLEMAN, AS USUAL
Don't retire jenson I hear Mercedes are looking for a driver!
Its proper! YES ITS PROPER. Hope you’re listening FIA
Amazing how he was uncertain about his f1 futer and then a year later he became world champion
I wanna know what name of the music did they used
£92,000 if you want one of your own.
The last British gentleman in F1
Amazing Gift
Nicest guy in F1 IMO..
When he was talking about all the parts he was going to use I was thinking a god what combobulation is he stick him with but the manta ray sculpture is actually really sick.
Great career
great guy
Button deserves better. Who thinks he should've been Hamiltons team mate for 2017?
ME
such a fantastic guy but I look forward to the triathlon bit big hug Jason
Who’s that. I remember him but not the name
ch 4 is good
Channel 4 is the most far left channel in the UK. Terrible.
this is beaauty
If Jenson wanted to go to a different racing series but still be similar to F1 I personally can see him coming to IndyCar and get some great wins.
Raptor Z i think he would love racing in indycar, its a physical car with extremely competitive racing. Not much more of a better fit for him!
or Formula e
Nice That hes going to race in Monaco 2017
Hopefully - Toto or Nike will call. He does not want to retire!
V8 supercars Jenson. Aussie needs you.
Did he end up getting that Brawn chassis?
He already owned his own Brawn GP car
Awesome
2:53 And in the end it wasn't! Thanks to Fernando, we got to witness a great drive from a true gentleman one last time in Monaco. No kidding, P10 in qualifying straight away, but we all know what happened between him and Wehrlein
its a shame Abu Dhabi ended like it did for him.
love if he went to Mercedes
:'((((((((((((((((((((((
Would have been destroyed by Lewis. He was incredibly lucky against Lewis. In 2011 Lewis was driving like Maldonado and that’s the only reason button beat him
“I do think this is my last race”...
Jenson should replace crofty
Hamilton could learn a lot from Jenson how to act
What so bad about hamilton? Does he kill children?
3:05 MANTA RAY! :D
Is it just me... or is hating on button just impossible?😂
not his last race yay
Top gear could become good !!
