Dr Taj Saghaie discusses Macquarie’s research into lung cancer

You might not know it, but lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer-related death in Australia.
This is largely because diagnosis tends to occur in the later stages of the disease when outcomes are poorer and more aggressive treatment is required.
At Macquarie University Hospital, our multidisciplinary team of clinicians, researchers and primary healthcare practitioners is exploring how modern technology like advanced robotics can improve the diagnosis and treatment of cancerous nodules within lung tissue.
