  • Hey guys, it’s Acidify. I’m a 2D environment concept artist. A lot of my work focus on trees so I’d thought I’d make a simple tutorial for artists getting into digital art. Today I’m gonna show you how you can easily paint a realistic tree environment from scratch in photoshop. But I’m sure you can still learn and follow my steps with other software as well!
    In this video I will be discussing the fundamental structure of a tree such as it's trunk, branches and roots. I will be covering the blending and coloring process. I will also be going over the background environments such as the sky and mountains.
    If this tutorial helps you in any way, please don't forget to hit the like button and subscribe! I will be making more tutorials in the near future so stay tuned :)

    Just FYI, instead of tracing the tree outline at the beginning you could close off the tree outline then select the area with the magic wand tool. Or if you wanted to skip a step you could start with a lasso tool selection instead of drawing the outline.

    • @dillonferreira3529
      @dillonferreira3529 2 роки тому +1

      I think the reason he does the sketch first is to plan ahead so then if he uses the lasso tool and he realizes a branch doesn't look right he can more easily change it into what he wants while still keeping the planned composition
