Hi Sam, I charge my 12 month old MG4 51excite in garage. From the home page I put charge page on full screen and and passenger window down. 19 times out of 20 it starts okay tells me charge speed on the screen and estimated time till full. Air con will slow charge, it settles in at 6.2kw. I get 50% in 4hours Occasionally I have to sit in the driver's seat and press lock and then start. Sometimes in winter and cloudy days I'll drop it down to 16A so I'm only using solar 😎. In Old Bar today heading to the Gong tomorrow. Will stop at Raymond Terrace, 12 Tesla chargers always work and never full. Merry Christmas Viking to you and yours ❤🎉
I charge my Tesla with a 3-phase Zappi. Cost about same, has a great app and will charge at 11kW. Set to Eco++ it will only use solar to charge the car. I added an EDDI (same brand) and now my hot water is also heated from solar only. That said, I would not recommend buying any wall charger today unless it is VTG capable (bi-directional).
Just got a new MG4 two days ago, our 3rd EV. None of the problems you mentioned. Very strange. Locked, unlocked etc, shows charge speed on the app and screen, etc. Pretty hassle-free. Maybe this one was running on older software.
Maybe I missed it, but where is the battery to store the energy? You showed a small wall-mounted box to transfer the energy from room to car. Thank you!!
A simple NEMA 1450 socket provides 240 Volts at 32 amps (minimum) and that's 7.5 kilowatts. So I see no need for a special branded "charger". With Tesla they allow 40 amps with their Charger, which allow a slightly faster charging rate, but I see no need for that as even at the slower rate it's only 3.5 hours to charge to 80% from 50%.
Hello from California! They Hypervolt looks good, maybe a bit pricey. How does it know what your solar generation is? Does it integrate with your inverter/battery system? This year we installed a FranklinWH battery system and added a Span load center and got their Span Drive charger to go with it (about US$700). It can do 11kW, but it can also load balance if your house has a smaller service level. The Span and FranklinWH integrate together, so the Span Drive knows how much solar is being generated and can derate to match the excess solar beyond my home and battery's needs (eg, what would otherwise go to the grid). It's winter up here, so it took a couple days to fill my Ioniq 5, but from the spring through the fall it will easily do it in a day.
Sooooooooo, the 12 o'clock that happens in the middle of the night, is called 12AM. Also known as Midnight. It's the first second of the new day. New days start with AM before transitioning to PM at Midday (the afternoon) 😊
Solar isn't "free" during the day, you have a massive cost of buying the system, you don't mention the price. Are you disconnected from the grid with Zero bills? Charger purchase and installation costs all need adding into the cost of running the car, no mention of the time and range you added to the car in the video (after a lot of faffing about) And of course, the big one, a huge part of the population is away during the day, so not much point to lots of solar unless you add the extra cost of batteries.

It's good that you enlightened us
Ps I leave the window down so I can press lock and start, if it doesn't. I never use the app just the screen 😊
Zappi has a panel telling you the state of charge, don’t have to look left right up or down if your car is charging 😂
I want a charger that can switch between Ac and DC. DC direct when the sun is shining AC when you have to pull from your battery or grid.
I have a Tesla wall connector 3, cost half that.
Sometimes you just have to RTFM! ;-)
Can you drop the amps to charge at a lower kw number...especially for people with smallish solar systems?
Thank you.
Most likely on these, I know you can with a Tesla charger.

He doesn’t have a home battery yet. It is on his list
You can tell your power company you want the ev plan power 12pm to 6am 8c/kwh
Are you're still getting the Zeekr X for Shannon?
More none declared sponsored content 🥱
So charge during the day when most people drive to work or out of the house. So unless you have a battery in the house it’s pointless

I can see in the upcoming videos.....XPENG best car in the world.....HYPERVOLT best charger in the world :)
Why aren’t you using DC to DC charging?
22kw is on 3 phase 7kw per line
Petrol BMW in the driveway?

Apparently the MG4 doesn’t display display the charging speed on the app? Maybe someone with an MG4 can clarify?
So you still haven't taken delivery of your Xpeng G6? What gives? When is that coming?
Nothing’s more annoying than a car blocking a footpath to charge. Save some cash, buy a shorter cable, and stay off the footpath!
As a wheelchair user I agree with you. Im not saying to not charge your car, just move your cars around to allow clear access.
Y DIDNT YOU REVERSE the car on the DRIVE WAY ?
Why bother when you have a long enough cable?

Still in shock you never bought a Tesla
Better evs out
The problem is most people are at work during the day and that’s where to car.
How difficult is this car to charge?! Glad didn’t buy them 🫠
