Scott's love for BIG Calibre rounds gives me much joy. I'm just about to kick off my application for my first long arm. It's going to be a lever action 357 magnum. Love the clips Kentucky Ballistics team. The slo mo explosions are awesome, watermelon time never gets old. Scott's hatred of Furbys kills me and the zombie busts are spectacular when one shotted into oblivion. Love the channel. Thank for all your efforts.
Hey Scott, not sure if you are going to see this, but Noreen Firearms sells a semi-auto rifle in .408 Cheytac, the only company to ever do so. I know you love big-bore rifles, so I wanted to let you know.
I have a permanently detached collarbone from a State Arms .50 bmg. I definitely agree that just because you can shoot something while standing or kneeling doesn't mean it won't be painful to shoot while prone. I also learned that the early muzzle devices on single shot .50 cals were just there for show. I definitely want a lever gun in 500 or 460 mag, just haven't decided yet. I have a break action in 500 mag with a 20 inch barrel, but I definitely want a lever gun.
It's comments like these make me realize that a 45-70 lever gun is big enough for me. Collar bones aren't indestructible, wrestling in 8th grade gym taught me that.
@Cheezlord The state arms 50 was one of the first 50 BMG rifles available to the public. They are notorious for having horrible recoil management, really no better than a bare muzzle. Rifles today actually have effective muzzle devices
Uhh, the videos are not one-takes, so how many misses are we not seeing? Although, I’m convinced that Scott is a great shooter and that he hits most of his targets.
Hello Scott!👋🤙 Mr. Obvious is here to help! I think you have Mogwai and Furbies confused with each other. Mogwai multiply when they get wet, and also turn into a Gremlin if the Mogwai eats after midnight. Furbies just mumble incoherently. Which made that shot to the Furby perfectly placed!!!
Man must have the WORST range cleanup out of all the popular firearm guys. Gotta give him props, you never see bits of exploded toilet or busted table laying around video to video.
Hi Scott, thanks for making life happier by presenting such beautiful weapons. Greetings from your fan from the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 I hope one day to meet you in person and God bless you always
12:12 I love that shot while shooting on the ground where he ejects an empty casing and it lands standing up. I don't think he could have recreated that shot if he tried.
i love a lever action, but, four and a half K for one might be out of a few peoples price range lol. cant imagine owning a bare rifle worth more than my first car lol. thanks for letting us live vicariously through you scott.
You sir, are building a fun loving, creative, and wonderful culture that continues to affirm firearms as a blessing in the lives of all people. You are the channel I send my friends who are against guns to. And you know what? They absolutely love it. Thank You Scott and family for bringing so much value to us.
This weapon is probably my favourite out of all the ones I've seen on the channel so far... looks proper Stealth, it packs a punch and it looks like a lot of fun to shoot.
The problem is Scott is such a big guy that he makes shooting these monster calibers look pleasant/fun. I can assure you, for us mere mortals, it's a different story.
Yeah but we're getting more than 4200 foot pounds out of our 500 Bushwacker with a 7.5 inch barrel and a 10 inch barrel will put you over 5000 foot pounds. Impressive for a handgun cartridge out of a handgun.
I always wondered how some of the overpowered pistol cartridges would handle in a rifle format. I would never buy a .500mag. as a revolver just because of the recoil but in a rifle format recoil looks very manageable. Would be overkill for home defense but excellent for bear protection. Not to mention a hell of a lot of fun down at the range.
I have a feeling that this particular video may blow up the internet today. It's that awesome. I love a nice lever action rifle. My personal favorite is the Marlin chambered in .444 Marlin.
I never heard of this weapon! I love it! Also hunting and fishing games are cool because I can't either. All around a good video! One of my pet peeves is video games where barrel length does not effect bullet velocity consistently.
Great Episode......I would love if you would explain the historical relevance of the Lever Action. A lot of young folk don't understand the role it played in history!
I dont think the 500 would have the range of the 45-70. Under 100 yards I'm willing to bet it has more knockdown but start to drop drastically after that. I'm willing to bet felt recoil would be similar.
Underwood 45-70 Government 325gr. Xtreme Hunter 2030fps The 350gr 500mag in this video were going 2025fps so same speed, 8% more mass, 11% more diameter. I'd expect about the same at most weights but 45-70 tops out at 500gr while 500mag has factory 700gr. I think where the 500mag would really shine is out of a suppressed lever gun. You'd need to hand load but a subsonic 700gr slug has some interesting potential.
Oh, for b and c. Underwood prices for 500 are slightly more than their equivalent 45-70, about 5%, and felt recoil will be stouter by about the same amount as the momentum increases, all else being equal. Basic physics, as you go up bullet weights you'll generally get more felt recoil per J of KE
Hey Mr. Scott, have you ever checked out the Winchester 1886 in any of these 45-70, 45-90, 45-100, 50-100, 50-110? Seeing how the 1886 Winchester was the most powerful lever gun made if not still. Also side note the 45-90 version can also load and shoot the 45-70.
@@chrisgabbert658 I think I watched some of is on the 1886 or someone else, but yeah get hit by any of those and you'll be in a world of hurt if not getting back up.
@@chrisgabbert658 I got the 45-90 version of the 1886 saved and I plan on purchasing it, for anti-bear and moose protection if I am out in the woods, or for generally hunting of larger game or large medium game. Nothing else would be one hell of a home protection rifle.
If you pause at 11:26 and go frame by frame, you can see one frame where the bullet is just entering the Furby's MOUTH, parting the beak as it slides in. Amazing shot!!

Not that it's necessary 3- It's a higher quality rifle regardless of price 4- Did I mention the price? You can buy 4 of these for the same price with money leftover for brass, powder and or primers 5- who makes brass cases for this thing and ow much does it cost? 6-This is a rich mans gun which is fine. That be awesome, I know of a few replicas out there but have never seen footage of one actually being fired.
I'd love to see him shoot a 950 jdj but there were only like three made.
I'd love to see him try an Anzio 20mm, Scott is probably the only human alive who could shoulder fire one
. I hope to hear the phrase "The Fat Mac is live!" on this channel one day as well.
I want to see that and a punt shotgun.
6:02 😂😂🤣😂 love the sound effects😂😂😂
This is one of the sweetest shooters I think you've had on the channel.
Love the show 👍👏
12:03 scott shoots and the bullet jacket bouces off his arm lands on ground perfectly quality content🗣️💯💯
Lever actions are my favorite, more lever action vids in the future please? 🙏🙏🙏
0:12 You're about to shoot toilets, And i'm shooting the toilet right now, with ammunition of constantly differing size & density 😂
@@thatoneguy454c gotta love modern technology.
Huge respect for how he hits everything he shoots!!! Scott is a true marksman.
Being a cop will do that to ya’.
His laugh is his special power. It makes him heal his wounds faster than wolverine
@@alduinmenendez anyone would be decent at shooting if they spent all day at the range burning thru taxpayer money.
Uhh, the videos are not one-takes, so how many misses are we not seeing?
Although, I’m convinced that Scott is a great shooter and that he hits most of his targets.
@@knightwolf5006 I was not making a political statement with my comment but okay. He just was a cop in the past.
Scott, single handedly, keeping Furby in business
Hey Scott, the watermelon scene was absolutely amazing the way they looked cinematic almost. One of my favorite slow motion montages yet I think..✌️
I need to see your friends holding and possibly shooting the 4 bore rifle. Love the videos keep them coming big bore king
This guy just cracks me up!!
It's always a good day when scott posts a video, even when you had an absolutely terrible day, thanks for the content, keep it up!👍
Boy, you don't EVER talk to 'yer Momma' that way! Even if it's just a skit! LOL! Love the channel, and I look forward to more episodes!
Enjoyed that one Scott, thank you. Was wondering what the 4 bore would do to various types of body armor. 😂
@Arboreal_Aspect Seeing a zombie torso being folded in half would probably be more Fun If there was a level 4 plate going with It 😂
12:11 One of the best Kentucky Ballistics style reloads.
He stuck the landing
Man must have the WORST range cleanup out of all the popular firearm guys. Gotta give him props, you never see bits of exploded toilet or busted table laying around video to video.
The gel block slow mo was the most insane reaction I've ever seen of that target. Really cool. Thanks for the epic WATERMELON 🍉 TIME! 😎
I think I have a new favorite lever action! The ballistic head was the final stamp of awesome! Thanks for all you do.
Such a great calibre, neat looking lever too
That furbie shot was so dead centre
Awesome
Hi Scott, thanks for making life happier by presenting such beautiful weapons. Greetings from your fan from the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 I hope one day to meet you in person and God bless you always
12:12 I love that shot while shooting on the ground where he ejects an empty casing and it lands standing up. I don't think he could have recreated that shot if he tried.
i love a lever action, but, four and a half K for one might be out of a few peoples price range lol. cant imagine owning a bare rifle worth more than my first car lol. thanks for letting us live vicariously through you scott.
13:00 is the closest ive ever seen scott make an adult joke on his channel and he seriously had me there for a second
I'd be really interested in seeing the speed difference between different rounds. Like armour pricing vs brass solid ect
"mom quit calling me, im about to shoot toilets, its a poopy day"
Props to your mom for having the patience to deal with such shitty situation
You sir, are building a fun loving, creative, and wonderful culture that continues to affirm firearms as a blessing in the lives of all people. You are the channel I send my friends who are against guns to. And you know what? They absolutely love it. Thank You Scott and family for bringing so much value to us.
I like this channel to , I hope I can live up to him with my channel as well I hope to do a collaboration video with Scott
Do a show featuring Tannerite! Awsome!
I absolutely love your scientifically advanced analysis of firearms makes me laugh after a hard day at work
7:11 Holy mother of hydrostatic shock, it doesn't matter where you got hit, you can kiss goodbye to that part of the body.
It’s always a great time when you watch Kentucky Ballistics you won’t be disappointed always great content 💯💯
I have a 9 year old daughter who loves your videos! She’s going to have a blast with this one 😂
The regular guns shoot like a 12 gauge magnum slug. With the muzzle break it shoots more like a 30 caliber hunting rifle.
That projectile out of the 16-inch barrel is around 3265 foot pounds of energy. That's pretty damn impressive, in my opinion.
Yeah, I'd say that could comfortably put anything on the continent down
Been looking at the model 90 in 460…
It's definitely an impressive amount of energy but Scott makes the recoil look like a bb gun lol
Yeah but we're getting more than 4200 foot pounds out of our 500 Bushwacker with a 7.5 inch barrel and a 10 inch barrel will put you over 5000 foot pounds. Impressive for a handgun cartridge out of a handgun.
@@paulshayter1113 Ah yes, the perfect carry gun for when Rhinoceros get rowdy in your area
I always wondered how some of the overpowered pistol cartridges would handle in a rifle format. I would never buy a .500mag. as a revolver just because of the recoil but in a rifle format recoil looks very manageable. Would be overkill for home defense but excellent for bear protection. Not to mention a hell of a lot of fun down at the range.
at 12:16 minutes in you can see the used 500 S&W land
I really dig the more surreal direction you've taken the show in Scott.
I have a feeling that this particular video may blow up the internet today. It's that awesome. I love a nice lever action rifle. My personal favorite is the Marlin chambered in .444 Marlin.
A beastly cartridge for its time to be sure
I never heard of this weapon! I love it! Also hunting and fishing games are cool because I can't either. All around a good video!
One of my pet peeves is video games where barrel length does not effect bullet velocity consistently.
10:53 OMG THATS HOW COVID STARTED
Scott has been growing his gun collection! He’s also got a lever gun!😀💪
I hope everybody in the community is having a good one. It's nice to see fun content like this still going. 🤙🏽
same to you bro hope u have a great 1 2 lol
Great Episode......I would love if you would explain the historical relevance of the Lever Action. A lot of young folk don't understand the role it played in history!
Ian is your guy for this one.
Or levergun50 , Scott is a entertainer more than an educator
Good looking gun and powerful. Serves a purpose and looks good doing it.
How does the.500 mag compare to the.45-70; A. Ballistically B. Cost per round C. Felt recoil. Thanks for the video Scott, it was entertaining 😊
I dont think the 500 would have the range of the 45-70. Under 100 yards I'm willing to bet it has more knockdown but start to drop drastically after that. I'm willing to bet felt recoil would be similar.
Underwood 45-70 Government 325gr. Xtreme Hunter
2030fps
The 350gr 500mag in this video were going 2025fps so same speed, 8% more mass, 11% more diameter.
Donot forget Round Size, it looks like you might be able to carry one or two more .500Mag vs the .45-70.
@@CtrlAltRetreat ❤️😂
The energy dump is just insane to see. You got me wanting one now for hunting dinosaurs
12:19 Me when.... you know...
LOVE IT!!! Thanks Scooter 🤣
You can check out Leverguns 50 for those calibers and they are just 💥to gel blocks.
@@trentenswett6306 I want a Browning 1885 hw in 45/70 .
@@chrisgabbert658 Nice, good luck on that.
Scott is so much fun. Thank god he fully recovered from his 'incident'.
I must come shoot with you my friend 😏
If you pause at 11:26 and go frame by frame, you can see one frame where the bullet is just entering the Furby's MOUTH, parting the beak as it slides in. Amazing shot!!
5:12 that's bacause you didn't go with me northeast brazilian! me and my boyfri... my "friend" go there... and my "friend" couldn't stand inside the hotel room... i felt sick for about 4 days, i think was Rodonia or something
I’m very impressed with the Big horn black thunder lever action rifle and Fishing Clash . I priced the 4 bore at $8k . It’s out of my reach . I will definitely price the one .
Just buy a new 1886 45-90 and save a lot of money
4700.00
Winchester 1895 45-90 made in Japan by Miroku with outstanding quality and first rate customer service is only $1100.
1- It's a more powerful rifle
2- It a stronger rifle that can handle the heaviest loads. Not that it's necessary
3- It's a higher quality rifle regardless of price
4- Did I mention the price? You can buy 4 of these for the same price with money leftover for brass, powder and or primers
5- who makes brass cases for this thing and ow much does it cost?
6-This is a rich mans gun which is fine. I wish I was rich. I still wouldn't this rifle even if I was rich
