Cant believe i live in a time when i can watch 2 of colorados greatest mountain runners run an fkt effort on the most competitive mountain in the state from my phone.
I recently tore my ACL and have a long recovery ahead but watching your videos keep me excited to get back out there on the trails! Thank you for all that you do!
This is just too great following these FKTs. Did the north trail last weekend and cameras just dont do the elevation/grade justice lol. Very doable but lordy it's steep for pretty much the whole time. GREAT effort gents.
The guy who has the FKT looks like he took a slightly different path based on his GPS. I'm assuming the use of poles doesn't matter and is just personal preference but idk. Obviously both efforts are amazing but imo FKTs should be tied to the exact trail. If the trail changes enough to significantly change the distance traveled then it should be an FKT on the new trail. As you said in the video the trail is a little longer than the old one. The only way to really compare them is the pace but the FKTs are technically different. But if someone went off trail that should disqualify them like it would in any race event. Need to stay on course. Not sure if there's any way to address the issue with Strava or whoever keeps track of FKTs. But either way amazing job!
Anton Krupicka.Sage Canaday. Joe Gray. TheDeMoor bros. Mountain GOATs!! Incredible. Have started and finished in that same Halfmoon Creek trailhead many times. Just nowhere near that fast! :) Find your open doors and run through them.
Awesome DeMoor brothers, woohoo! You are both amazing! Let's goooo! And I love our DeMoor training/racing socks. Epic hard core trail running 🏃♂️🏃♂️😎🎉🎉🧦🧦❤❤
I'm watching a few of these FKT vids; it's fun to watch the attempt and the 'gets' lol. Joe seems like a cool dude. What a life Seth has; owner of businesses and having all these adventures in the mountains while his wife is home with....I lost track...6 kids maybe? 7? Maybe she's not interested in the same type of adventures but sure hope True Love can get away and do some fun stuff :)
Cool! I’m a camphost out here in the mountains near shav so I’ve been hiking all of them on my off days, next year I hope to implement more trail running!
Really love seeing you and Joseph out there crushing together. This really seems to be your natural (running) habitat! Wondering if your breathing is that heavy the entire time? I’m amazed at your aerobic capacity bc if I were breathing that heavily, I’d have a couple minutes left in me before blowing up. Cheers.
definitely enjoyed the fkt cam. ive been wanting to do that shredding some local segments. yeah that tyler andrews cat on the same day lol. i don't know i figure if strava thinks it's the same trail then it's close enough, some segments you really have to pick your lines. i also don't know about rules regarding poles, im actually surprised they're a minute per mile faster on an effort like that
for anyone who wants to know but not enough to dig into Strava, the other runner used poles and severely cut switchbacks. both seem to be debatably unfair in terms of CO 14er FKT attempts
Another entertaining video and strong effort - kudos. Layers may or may not be peeled away here but like life, trails often involve twists & turns; and sometimes they don't - or at least not as many switchbacks... 😉
Poles are ok with me unless specifically prohibited (as some races do), personal preference. Cutting switchbacks is not ok, that should disqualify you from any race or FKT attempt because you didn’t follow the set course. Just my 2 cents.
He has way too many shoes to review and doesn’t have time to record them all. He also gets a ton of gear and he enjoys that more than shoes at this point

Really great you know a little bit of the story
Right?!
I recently tore my ACL and have a long recovery ahead but watching your videos keep me excited to get back out there on the trails! Thank you for all that you do!

Good job both of you.

What the hec!?!?!?
Best most mysterious Vlog ever!
Dewa and ilg got AG FKT’s on that route and WE WANT TO KNOW!!!
Cool! I’m a camphost out here in the mountains near shav so I’ve been hiking all of them on my off days, next year I hope to implement more trail running!
Speedy finish on the top. Enjoy Italy and the coffee 😊
Gotta bring back “Between the 2 flannels”!!!

Great Vlog Seth, All the very best to you and Joseph in Italy
Such cliffhanger at the end of this episode 😮

AWESOME! Good luck in Italy! Go DeMoors!
“It’s dramatic” Whoa. Coming from a guy with 5 kids, this must be a real interesting story!
The twists and turns you won’t believe
@@SethJamesDeMoorjust don’t forget to do a vlog on it sometime !

I couldn’t believe the time Tyler Andrews ran on the same day you guys did it. He ran 1:01 on the ascent

you need to come back to europe and race the „etc“ race at utmb next year!
Are you using breathing techniques for the altitude or just normal breathing due to being use to running at altitude?
Black cloud route?
Oh wow, I wonder if someone else was going for it at the same time on the other trail and maybe took your prior FKT??? Could that be it??
Who was in that slow mo?! 😱
Why have you stopped shoe reviews?
He has way too many shoes to review and doesn’t have time to record them all. He also gets a ton of gear and he enjoys that more than shoes at this point
@@a6beats221 maybe just a couple then.
In my book, you got the FKT. The wannabes need to make a visit at the conFession stand. 😜 Pretty sad when adults cheat.
Tyler Andrews 1:01......! That's a bit suss.
On Strava it looks like he didn’t use the switchbacks and went straight up
🍿
@@tortillaflat1 but he still ran at a faster pace ;-) doesn't matter, having fun is what your looking for, not racking up FKT's 😀
andddd was using poles.. 🤦🏻♂️
Strava does not matter, only FKT website. Poles are just fine if FKT blesses it then that's the time to beat.
Appreciate you Marcos!
