I really enjoy the contrast between these three runners, seeing their different mind sets and perspectives on their races is so awesome! So uplifting at the end. Lotti has such a great outlook🥰 look forward to seeing more accomplishments from these three! Great job capturing their individual stories Dyl & team!
I appreciate the honesty in the videos showing the highlights and the lowlights. Not everyone will experience a podium finish at a major ultra race or race for that matter, but every runner will experience the very hard things. “I think it is good to practice very hard things.” Adrian MacDonald
Great job on this documentary. I'd never heard of the race or the runners, and yet I was instantly hooked. Loved the three individual's story lines, the footage, and the music especially. Thank you so much!
One of the best running short film I've ever seen! Having three totally different perspectives of the same race is such a winning idea. Personally, I'm more on the woman side. Getting to the finish line means winning. Thanks for this!
Great storylines. Wonderful storytelling. Superb footage and excellent music beds. Loved it! This is why I love ultrarunning so much. People get to see the poetry that trail running creates.
What an awesome film - I’m attempting my first 100 miler this year and Lotti’s comment about running being stressful and then taking a break and coming back “running for fun” resonates so much with me!! Awesome and thank you so much!!
Thank you for Lotti story 😀😀 she is very nice, calm down to earth😌. I missed that from other female runners stories in UA-cam. Finally I hear someone who neither talks loud nor a lot. They all are very sharing people 🙏🙏😀
"I run because it makes me happy and because I just have fun exploring". That really speaks volumes to us average runners out here! I would add running for longtime fitness and mental health to that. Question: How do you southern Arizona dwellers handle the summer heat? Do you train in the desert?
This is great. Lotti is great. Her husband seems like an uplifting human, too!!! As a 40 year old myself, it’s awesome to see guys like True and Scott crushing it! Great film!!
What an absolutely amazing film this is. Really well done, and so interesting to see these three different perspectives. Definitely makes me want to get out there more often and do longer runs. Cheers.
Wonderful. Three individual athletes sharing with all of us their separate but connected stories of this amazing activity we share - trail running. Thank you for putting this film together.
This was my second Ultra and my first BC 100K, Ive never had so much fun! Aravaipa is amazing! Loved the documentary no matter how short! So glad to be part of that amazing day!
@@panther14565 60's to start and worked it's way up to a little over 85°. Where I train we hadn't seen temps like that during the training run up atleast in the winter months. I was caught a bit off guard by the heat had to double up salt pills and water. But right as dusk set in it was perfect and the bit of night I did was just comfortable. These guys in the video finished in less than 10 hours so they finished In the heat, I finished in 15 hours putting me in around 10pmish.
Almost everyone I talked to this year felt like Adrian - including myself. Of course, he's....much much faster! Impressive that he kept pushing - I always thought guys at this level would be more likely to just drop and save themselves for next race when they see they can't place well and it's simply not their day.
I love how the one guy ran in a white button down shirt... looks like something my husband would wear to the office. LOL. But I get it... it's lightweight, breathable, and keeps the sun off his arms.
I ran my very first race yesterday I'm 46 n started running in December I got last place it was a 20k I got lost because I have TBI n it was way up in the mountains,I got lost I was in about 20 th place out of about 30 of us the other ten were behind me until mile five I had to walk to mile six some reason my stomach was hurting so bad the girls were still behind me but because I was running solo I had no idea to turn left or right at the almost seven mile point I went the wrong way there was no signs nothing when I didn't see no one about a mile away I was like oh no I think I had to go the other way so I had to run another mile bk I finally seen the seven miles on the pavement after this they got me assistance so he stayed on his bike n I ran until I finished I was not going to give up even if I got last I believe I actually won the race one I had to walk there two I got lost did two extra miles I actually did over 15 miles total so to me I won
Given that the best distance runners in the world come from Africa, it's interesting to me that there isn't a single black face in this video. I guess it's lucky for these "ultra runners" that Kenyans and Ethiopians don't bother to sign up. If they did, none of these people would ever see a podium again.
Actually, Kenyans and Ethiopians are beginning to enter the trail running scene. I've watched a few interesting videos on them and the reasons they haven't stepped outside of road racing in the past. One recent one that comes to mind is the recent Golden Trail Series videos. Check them out!
Dude finishes in 2nd place at 42 years old in a dress shirt LOL. I love this sport:)

Lotto, was amazing. She has such a great attitude. I cannot believe she did so well even with a dislocated knee
Opening line - start a marathon half asleep - brilliant advice

Great video and some fantastic advice in there too
Scott Traer Western States FTW!!!
Beautiful film!

Great video 😀👍🏃♂️. I thoroughly enjoyed it 👍. Thank You
Great story telling, with some really nice footage and good choice of music :) Great advertisement for ultra running!
What is the song at 7:30? .... So beautiful

Amazing Human beings.. great work AR with the piece
I really love these different stories, points of view. Great little movie.
Brilliant film! Hearing the stories that events create is so important. Thank you!
I have only had 1 out of 9 of my 100 mile or more ultras (I completed) that I was not nervous before the race.
Such a great story line and film!! Kudos to Aravaipa, Dylan and the athletes involved!
I love the inspiration these runners share! Amazing documentary! Thank you for sharing!
Great look into the athletic mindset and contrast. Thanks
This was Amazing to watch. Thanks.
I love running too!!!

At 7:20 what the name of the song Is?
I'm trying to find out too lol.
Found it, sweatervest by Logan pilcher
I enjoyed this video very much 😍 thanks for sharing 🙏
Great film!! Well done 👍🏼
Well done
Are winners based on time per say or whoever literally crosses the finish first is first?

Mad respect to Adrian and Lotti for finishing up!
unreal pace.. id have a tough time holding this for a 5k
Did Scot Trear win?
Scott finished 2nd.
This is a great commercial for Garmin wearable 🤣

How can you go the through the aid station without drinking or refill your bottle?
That’s selfmade suffering.

Dang, I didn't know Todd from Breaking Bad became an ultra runner. He's lookin' good, lost lots of weight!
Like Kevin Garnett said,"anything is possible"
I'ma be awake for mine 😏
Why is he wearing a normal shirt?
Wooptie F'in Do
That starting pace was absolute suicide, there’s a reason the winner didn’t run with the pack. It amazes me how much this still happens in the sport.
The winner was a half mile ahead of the pack at mile 7
@@AravaipaRunning now I see Traer didn’t win, but he showed how ultras should be treated.
Lot of 'you know' in the interviews.

Seems like a boring trail run.
