      True! Why does that question even exist? russians attack and kill with rockets that contain American and other non-russian components. But Ukraine can't defend itself. It's insane to hear them talk about a "free and strong democracy," while in reality, they just help terrorists.

      At the time this conflict began I was dating a polish woman (born and raised in poland) She thought russia would steamroll ukraine. I told her russia would choke on ukraine and that it would end putin's regime. She called me crazy. I told her Russia is not the soviet union , its the corpse of the soviet union. The soviet union had a GDP comparable to the united states, Russia has a GDP comparable to just new york state, let alone the entire united states. I told her this means they cant afford a world threatening military. Then I told her about the amount of recruits/conscipts russia loses every year due to murder/rape/and suicide during training , its hundreds. I told her that means the morale of their forces are in the toilet. 6 months into the conflict she said, holy shit I think you were right.

    Most of the people questioning the Ukraine incursion in Kursk, lack tactical experience or knowledge. They are also the ones positing that the incursion is for negotiations. This might be a small part of the tactical goal. It isn’t the main tactical goal. Russia’s response shows they are unprepared for what Ukraine has planned. Based on the current fighting and known troop movements, a lot of people are going to be surprised in the next few months.

    • @alessandroalafriz8162
      @alessandroalafriz8162 2 місяці тому +2

      My understanding of the incursion is that Ukraine lacks the manpower to head south to wipe out defenders in Donbas. Neither do they have the manpower to continue East to threaten Moscow. This means that the only advantage to attaining the land at Kursk is political and for Morale. Is there something that I'm missing here? Please tell me, I would like to be educated.

      @@alessandroalafriz8162 part of Ukraine’s overarching strategy is to cut off supply lines. Which it has started. This weakens Russia’s offensive abilities at a rate much greater than manpower. My understanding is that Ukraine has between 1-3 brigades in Russia right now. They have caused millions to flee deeper into Russia. These refugees will talk. This will be more damaging to Putin than the actual incursion. Again, this isn’t the main strategic goal. It is just part of the overall strategy.

    We really do need politicians on either side of the Atlantic to 'grow a pair', stop being cowed by a bully and let the Ukranians use the weapons we have donated where and how they desire. Kennedy stood up to the Russian bully (Cuban missile crisis) when they were the USSR and ten times stronger than Russia is today. Politicians need to listen and take the advice of their generals, commit to and actually help Ukraine to win this war. Peace comes through strength not by cowering in fear at every threat of a would be bully.

    0:58 The Troops being used to Assault into Kursk are just that. Assault Troops, which means they carry out mainly offensive actions, not defensive actions like sitting in a muddy trench waiting for the enemy to approach before they engage with Artillery, Drones and Small Arms. Assault Troops don’t wait for the enemy to come to them, they bring the fight to the enemy and destroy them if they can, if they can’t they go around and bypass them and either re-assault from the rear or keep pushing ahead and move on to the next group and area that needs to be taken care of and the unit behind them picks up what they left. By doing this it creates a lot of confusion and collapses the Russians lines, as nobody’s knows which direction to pull back too and that plays heavily into the Ukrainian Military’s strategy and favor. Now the Defenders in the Trenches in Donetsk are defensive troops, they’re usually mobilized or conscripts and are spread out more so the Russian artillery, drones and small arms aren’t quite as effective. They’re usually not trained to the level of Assault Troops, because all they really require to properly operate is know which direction to all shoot and be somewhat good at it. Do need tactical skills or any of that. Just know how and when to shoot and when to leave, the rest they learn as they go. So any criticism of Ukraine using Assault Troops to Assault Weak points they identify clearly doesn’t know shit about military tactics and never served a day in their lives. 🤷‍♂️

    They’re stuck in a 1940s imperialistic mindset. The rest of the world is moving on from imperialism and they’re still stuck fighting last year’s war. NATO’s mere existence to this day is a testament to Russia’s history of westward aggression. NATO countries still have full independence and aren’t controlled by a singular ruler. The Russian people would be far better off being a NATO nation and not under the rule of the Oligarchy thats constantly antagonizing the west, but democracy would take hold and the Oligarchs would lose their influence. Thats the truth. Stop sympathizing. The west doesn’t want war despite our often hypocritical history of it. The world is attempting to move forward and we have countries like Russia, North Korea, Iran and in many ways China trying to thwart the peaceful advancement of society so their leaders can maintain their powers.

    That is the issue with all the memes, reputation and jokes we make about nations.
    Because of WW2, Russia got the reputation of being some war master, while the reality was always here:
    If you look at the past centuries, they have lost ALL their wars against european majors, except once against France, when the rest of the world was also fighting Napoleon, and once against Germany, when once more they were backed by the rest of the world.
    Appart from that, they got owned by everyone and their grandmothers.
