I felt so bad for the maid in Rose's room it is like u r acting in such an amazing movie and tell ur family and frnds about it and then you got to know that your scene has been deleted.... poor her😔
She did get a good scene later on in the film, she fell into the water as the ship starts to rise, it was a great scene, she no doubt she died but a great scene nevertheless
She still had the scene of Cal's rage during breakfast, and she is at the Grand Staircase for the legendary end scene. I think she has a lot to be proud of.
Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli sure they’ve been taken out for good reasons, but I think they should re-release it with all the scenes in, just for entertainment purposes
@Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Some (most) were deleted because they had to fit the movie on VHS. If it came out today I’m sure the Majority of the scenes will be in since dvds can fit more
Maybe there is an alternate universe where Jack didn't die. It's a long and endless stream of possibilities. Concerning as Cameron said: _"Jack was going down, it says so on p.147 in the script, one way or another."_ Referring to that if it wasn't for the freezing water, Jack would have been shot to death, like Tommy Ryan did, or had a funnel dropped on him like Fabrizio etc. Jack was going to die. It was Cameron's creative and artistic choice. Which simultaneously means, Jack could have just as easily lived. That includes, making the wooden doorframe in the water big enough for two people to comfortably lie on, and not just for one person, like what happened with Rose and why Jack had to remain in the water and freeze to death, with Rose able to make it because she was on a floating device. Or you could have gone with Mythbusters' way of attaching a lifesafetybelt under the wooden doorframe, which greatly enhanced the buoyancy and stability of the doorframe. And would have allowed Jack to be on top next to Rose as well.
Absolututely NOTHING worse than a man touching/kissing you when you secretly hate his guts but can do nothing about it. I know the feeling..pure nausea 🤢 She demonstrates great acquiesce with him, she is screaming bloody murder on the inside

This scene would have made Rose's suicide attempt more rational, rather than just a princess who wanted to do it because she got tired of riches. Cal is 31, and he's controlling and abusive. I can't believe some people still watch the movie and comment on Rose's character to toughen up.

Such a small spark-gap transmitter may look impressive but the Titanic had a rotary one that was much bigger. It stood in a separate room next to the room where the operators worked. Those things were basically some kind of electric motor that got a short-cut between the rotor and the stator whenever the morsekey was pressed. Maybe someone knows the effect from vaccum cleaners or kitchen machines that disturb our radios or TV before the days of cable-TV. Those rotary transmitters did not just buzz with a series of sparks flying, they produced some kind of artificial thunderstorm. You better did not stand too near to them. Coastal stations used those transmitters until the 1950s to inform about emergencies. They worked on such a broad band of frequencies that they virtually cut all other communication short. Vaccuum valves for transmitting and more important amplifying the impulses for receiving were invented by several scientists and engineers as early as 1904 but were only introduced in around 1916.

Fun fact about the Californian scene, it's actually not all that accurate. The words were accurate, as in Titanic did tell the Californian to shut up, but the context was wrong. The world of Marconi operators was extremely small so everyone knew everyone and it was meant tongue in cheek. They were "rude" to each other all the time. It's like when you call your friend an asshole, you and your friend both know you're just joking around and don't actually mean it.
This is one of those few movies in Hollywood that is untouchable. Any remake they try to do would lose money because this movie is so perfect, and good luck finding two lead actors that have more chemistry than Kate and Leo had.

Oh my god YES!!!
I'm so glad they made a scene about the California! , i found this to be highly interesting.
Californian!SS Californian.
My apologies
Cameron was right, Matthew mcCanaughey would have been an awful mistake in that role.
Alright alright
Right
I would have never seen this film if McCanaughey would have been in it.
That would have been the biggest mistake ever
But Matthew could play Cal instead
