So after the product you installed is in, drywall still goes over it??? I'm about to buy my first home and my fiance was kind enough to ensure that I get a man cave. I have a Dolby ATMOS surround system that I love and am planning on installing it in my man cave - in the basement. She's my polar opposite though and doesn't like loud anything, which is why I'm researching soundproofing rooms.
SgtZima not sure how it compares but this is a base level install. If you want to take it to its full potential, its best to install resilient channel over it, and 2 layers of 5/8” drywall. The clients on this project did not want to lose the height
Toolaholic Thanks for the reply. That’s why I’m curious as I also don’t want to lose height. I’m wondering whether to go 3/4” of this then 5/8”, or MLV then 2x5/8”.
Awesome video man! I need this stuff in my basement so the wife doesn't hear me yelling at kids while i am gaming lol

What is the corner wedge all about? Reducing sound wave build up?
does it replace MLV??
Thank you for video 🇲🇦🇲🇦👍🏻🇺🇸
Any idea how this compares to mass loaded vinyl? Would you still put two layers of 5/8" over this with Green Glue in between?
