It's true, Queenstown is our favourite place in New Zealand, there's just so much to see and do, so much great food and drink options, and every time we visit we discover a new activity or must do thing. Today we're heading to the lakefront to take in the scene and try and finally answer the question - what is the best burger in Queenstown?
We've been Ferg burger peeps for a while now, but we always get comments telling us Devil burger is better... so it's time to settle the heated food debate.

Queenstown looks fantastic! And I'm also craving a burger and ice cream for some unknown reason....
Every time we went to get a Fergburger the line would be down the road lol so we missed that one. Everything else we did while we were there for 2 weeks and stayed at the Heritage.
Nice! Lil tip, you can phone order and pick up :) Only locals really know that though.
Loving all of the music you captured from the bagpiped as you chowed down on the burgers to the piano at the end. That ice cream and the whole shop really looked epic! 😍 Can't wait to see some of the more extreme activities you guys get up to there.
Haha if only the guy on the motorbike didn't go past at the same time and ruin the bagpipes 😂 The guy on the piano was magical though huh? It was so serene and beautiful in person

I am so excited for this Queenstown series! My heart is aching to be back there, and I just can't get enough of your videos and commentary, food recommendations 😋, and stuff to do! In all the times I have been to Queenstown, which is many, I have yet to have a Fergburger, not due to not wanting to try one, it’s just that the queue is always so long. One day, I am sure I will. With my ski buddies we spent 10 days there last August. As ever, I had such a great time there.
Just found your channel and naturally am enjoying the scenery and your take on it. The walks you did (queenstown hill and Bobs cove) both looked really great.
Thanks, David - lots of amazing things on offer in QT huh. You're right, those walks are epic too. For Ferg you have to phone ahead like the locals do, then just show up and collect.

You can really taste the individual ingredients in a Fergburger rather than just salt and a mash-up of flavours that I find most other burgers are like.
I’ve tried the Tramontana ice cream at Patagonia and it was an overload of sugar 😂 the Manuka ice cream at the Wanaka Lavender farm is top notch though 👌
We definitely agree - Ferg is the winner! Haha yeah the tramontana is intense... just the way our sweet tooth likes it.

I love Queenstown. Looks so quiet still. Love Arrowtown too. If you haven't been to NZ go to the South Island. Such as stunning place. Thanks for sharing guys. Oh and I have never seen so many ski boats lol. Have photos of I think it was Lake Taupo with snow on the mountains and people asking on the lake.

Great vlog as always. That ice cream looked wonderful. Now health and safety tip like flash photography in a news report . If you are gonna have bagpipes warn me in advance so I can put my fingers in my ears first.... :) The legend is when the the Romans walked Hadrian's wall they did so in pairs because they believed there were monsters in the mist (the bagpipes.) One looked to to see the monster the other would get ambushed on the wall and the body would be found when the mist cleared... Oh hang on I wrote a kid's musical called the Hunting of the Haggis set in Scotland.... I would have loved to get a piper in the finale.... can't stand the noise but they do add something... :D

Hi. Love your vlogs, only found you a few days ago! Watched the two motorhome trips, got some really good ideas from them.
S1 was more to our liking. We are a bit older than you! Not sure what time of year to come from UK.when did you make the Queenstown trip? the weather looks about right to me.
Glad you enjoyed the camper trips! Yeah S2 was a bit more extreme and full on, S1 was nice and cruisy in a lot of ways. This trip was just last month/beginning of this - so Aprilish is a good time where it's still warm enough. Have to say though, seeing Qtown with the snow is magical!
We always look sideways at Perkys too, but never been. Also the same situation with Devil lol.

Simple do a taste off, get one burger from each place, that is similar and do a taste test side by side. (I don't know how far apart they are???

It's called Patagonia - apparently there's a few of them around the country but this was our first time and wont be our last!

Is Queenstown good to commute by public transport or bicycle ? Or Auckland is a better location ? I don’t have a drivers license and looks like I can’t get one as a foreigner.
Auckland has the better public transport setup, but it's also so much bigger so everything is spread out. Queenstown is smaller, less need for transport I'd say

@@totallyempty Never heard of Myrent, probably avoid that. For shorter term Airbnb is the way, otherwise you want to be looking on TradeMe

My husband and I are honeymooning in QT right now and we had Devil Burger last night for tea. We like it, but we also like Ferg Burger. Our issue is we don't like lines 😅

@@NomadLifeKiwi You should definitely try it if you go to Queenstown, but sometimes the lines are just too long and not worth the wait, but I would definitely recommend trying it at least once. :)
Do as the locals do with Ferg - phone ahead and you don't even need to wait in the line!
