@@faithlynn1028 lmao Same. I'm gonna see her in the next revival of AG in london, honestly if I'd be daring enough to somehow stage door her I'd totally ask 🤣 Jk I love her too much to even ask questions
I'm so HAPPY to hear that a Cast CD is coming out! I can listen to Sutton Foster sing all day long... she is so talented. I'll be counting the seconds til the CD release date.
I loved this show!!!!! I'm 16 and obsessed! Sutton is AMAZING!!! I have never had a theater experience like this before, and I have had some amazing experiences before (my first show was Curtains to give you an idea) I can not wait for this cast album!!
The whole cast seems absoloutly delovely. This is my favorite movie and when i found there was a play of this starring one of my favorite actresses i was thrilled. I bet she is incredible in this part! I auditioned and made it it to this camp where i was going to get a master class from her and i would also get to go see the show but there were too many conflicts so i couldnt go. She is so stunning in the videos though. It is so amazing to watch an incredible, true triple threat be so humble.
YAY! I hope the album is released by my 13th birthday (August 10th). My parents don't have the money to take me to see Anything Goes for my birthday, which is mostly all I wanted. Hopefully, the cast album will be just as good as seeing the show live...
have you ever had to stand in a studio all day and sing? it is murder on the back and feet. Though crocs may be ugly they are super comfortable and help relieve some of the pressure.
CORRECT!! I looked it up when searching for the cast album, and it was 1987 or something... (OMG!! I'm getting OLD!!!) I first HEARD the soundtrack in the 90s, and for some reason I still associate the show with the early 90's...
@MsBroadway1000 I just want to know when there will be a pre-order date of the C.D.? Why is it taking so long to set a release date it is already the beginning of August?!
@supersingerevan Really? Albums recorded in such a setting sound so much more alive and authentic. Up until recently that was how ALL cast albums were done. Rarely were they done in a studio. A great example is the 90's revival of Guys and Dolls, done in a similar on stage setting.
Dancers have a lot of foot aches - a byproduct of the profession. Although they are truly ugly, Crocs are very comfortable and give nice support to sore feet. Nurses swear by them. So, let's give Sutton a pass on this fashion choice...unless she wears them on the red carpet.
@supersingerevan I think alot of that has to do with the recording engineer. Really there is a large variety of styles, and methods. There good and bad cast recordings done both ways. At the very least I would hope the recordings should be done with the live orchestra and everyone in the room at the same time, when the tracks are layed down separately everything sounds so boring. Both of these cast recordings did at least this, so I applaud them for that.
@sinatrabooth89 Of course. Though I must say, when it comes to live recordings, I have yet to find one where I really love the production of it. And I completely agree they should all be in the studio at the same time. Laying down the orchestra, and then having the singers come in...that's just lame.
All productions should do cast albums like How to Succeed did their's, the traditional way, using a stage and the room sound rather than a sterile studio. So much more alive and authentic.
@sinatrabooth89 Maybe it's just my personal preference, but I prefer the clean-cut sound of a studio recording. Everything can be mixed so that you hear every bit of instrumentation and vocal harmony just as the composer imagined. My opinion of pre-1990's cast recordings is pretty meh, I much prefer the quality of cast recordings that have been coming out in the last couple decades. Not saying the music or vocals are better (Sweeney Todd? OH MY GOD), but the I prefer the production value.
"Who's this person? Alicia Keys... yo, yo."
Sutton is my favourite person.
At that moment I could not relate to her more.
Sutton hitting that last note.. * *Dead* *
sutton I love you:
"I have hot water with honey. I have a bottle of water. I have slippery elm lozenges. I have a smile."
She is too cute.
Still waiting for that rap album Sutton haha
Me still waiting 😂
@@faithlynn1028 lmao Same. I'm gonna see her in the next revival of AG in london, honestly if I'd be daring enough to somehow stage door her I'd totally ask 🤣
Jk I love her too much to even ask questions
"I have hot tea, bottle water, slippery elm lozenges and a smile"
Oh my god she is adorable
I love that their vibrato kicks in at the same time when they sing together. It's flawless.
10% comments are about the musical itself
90% comments are about Sutton’s crocs
Crocs rock!
Sutton is super talented. Goofy good. And the rest. These Broadway people are so talented, they sound so good!
This made me re-think my hatred of crocs...
Sutton doesn't need makeup to look beautiful. Sutton for life
She was joking about the rap album...then Hamilton happened
She's in Hamilton?!
Great peek behind the curtain. Everything about this entire production of 'Anything Goes' glows.
V interesting... to see the parts without the mixing and blend - love to see a recording session live
I'm so HAPPY to hear that a Cast CD is coming out! I can listen to Sutton Foster sing all day long... she is so talented. I'll be counting the seconds til the CD release date.

Sutton teach me how to sing the high notes, please! lol Love her.
SUTTON'S LAST 25 SECONDS OH MY LORD
I’m pretty sure Sutton Foster doesn’t need to breathe to live - all of those belts and she’s still 100% and continues as though it’s in big deal!
have you ever had to stand in a studio all day and sing? it is murder on the back and feet. Though crocs may be ugly they are super comfortable and help relieve some of the pressure.
I'm suddenly overcome with a new respect for crocs. SUTTON IS A GODDESS SO HER TASTE IN FOOTWEAR IS BEYOND CRITICISM OR QUESTION!!!!

@StardustBeatle1039 As much wonderful dancing as Ms Foster does in 8 shows a week- she can wear anything she wants on her feet.

Hey! She wanted to be comfortable lol!
@GreatBroadwayFan SAY IT SAY IT SAY IT
HOW
@sinatrabooth89 Yeah, and a much lower quality recording...I'd rather hear their best product possible.
@sinatrabooth89 Maybe it's just my personal preference, but I prefer the clean-cut sound of a studio recording. Colin Donnell is extremely attractive
The LuPone revival was not in the '90's.
